    Phillips Animal Hospital
The staff at Phillips Animal Hospital are absolutely amazing!! They go above and beyond in every way and truly care about the animals that they are caring for. Dr. Jordan has been a life saver for both of my pomeranians on more than one occasion and he's the only Dr. I trust to take care of my dogs and our cat. He and his staff have spent an extensive amount of time teaching me how to care for my diabetic dog so that she stays as health as possible. They are, without a doubt, a step above any other veterinarian around.

    Animal Medical Center of Ontario
First off this place is extremely expensive.  Every time I took my dog in there I shelled out $200 - $600 dollars.  The final straw was when I took my dog to board and they went without my knowledge and did a check up on her ears and eyes.  Then charged me boarding and checkup fees.  I was really angry.  I didn't need them to recheck her eyes when I could see they are perfectly fine.

Both Dr. Steve and Dr. Jordan are concerned, very professional vets for our Maltese and Maltipoo. We drive past several other Veterinarians because the quality of service, their concern for the animal, and the detailed explanations of all procedures exceeds my expectations with every visit. These Vets really care about the animals they treat! I appreciate the Vet Techs and their interest and concern for the animals they see. We selected the Phillips Animal Clinic in 1997 after contacting and visiting several area Vets. I tell my friends and family about the high quality of service we receive each time we call with a question or have an office visit. Phillips Animal Clinic is the best in town!

    HULL VETERINARY HOSPITAL
We needed to put down a very beloved dog due to aggressive issues. We have used Hulls for about a year now so they knew our pet. I received a call back the very day I called and spoke to Dr. Cogsdon. She gave me a thorough interview in order to know we were not doing this lightly. Their charts had documented that our pet was fearful and required cautious treatment. She saw us the next day and thoughtfully arranged for us to be last, knowing I would probably be a wreck. She treated me and my dog with respect and kindness.  They offered us a foot print if we wanted one. In contrast, we lost our last dog to an accident and she died on our previous vet's table. They offered to SELL us our beloved pets foot print for a charge of $8, to add insult to pain. |I have been impressed over the last year with the thorough nature of treatment I have always received, in contrast to our previous vet. I believe they are a little more expensive than some but in my eyes they are worth it. |

    Animal Medical Center of Ontario
We've used Animal Medical Center of Ontario for our new puppy's preventive visits/vaccines, puppy pre-school classes and neutering. The class was a great way to socialize the new puppy with similar aged puppies. They've been very professional and informative. The front desk and clinical staff are all quite likeable and often remember us by name when walking in the door.

    ASHLAND ROAD ANIMAL CLINIC INC
I recently moved to Mansfield and needed to find a new veterinarian. This clinic is wonderful! The staff are courteous and friendly and the Doc treated my dog like he was his own. He always gets down on the floor to pet/greet my dog and rub my dog's belly when we come in which I always appreciate as my dog is usually anxious. The Doc is knowledgeable and thorough and the prices for services are affordable. I would highly recommend trying them if you are looking for a vet.

    Appleseed Valley Veterinary Hospital
We have three cats and one dog, which is a bit much to handle in one trip, so we made two appointments for the same day and brought the animals in two at a time. We had recently moved to the area and were looking for a new vet for our pets and Appleseed was recommended to me by a co-worker so we thought we'd give them a try. The pets received a quick check up by the vet and their shots were made current. When we bought the next set in they said one of our cats was sick and they couldn't give him his shots. Instead they gave us pills to give him for 5 days and they told us to come back in 10 days and he could receive his shots. I thought the price was high compared to what I'm used to paying my old vet, but this place is right down the road and my pets don't go that often so I guess its worth it for the convenience. You need to make an appointment to see them which I like better than my old vet where it was first come, first serve and you could set there for hours. Here you get in close to your appointed time.

    AKERS VETERINARY HOSPITAL
In 2011 our Papillon Isis had jumped out the second story window of our house. I tried to take her to our regular vet but she was not in the office that day. So I immediately took Isis to see Dr. Jody Akers. I carried her in explaining what had occurred and we knew for sure that her front leg was broken. She had us leave Isis and told us to come back in an hour.  When we came back, Dr. Akers told us that the leg had a severe fracture and would require surgery to fix it. She had set it in a splint for the meantime. And she gave us a copy of the x-ray of the leg. We were charged $125 which I wrote a check for.
The next day I was able to talk to another vet to discuss surgical options and I was told I'd need to find a vet that specialized in orthopedic surgery. I found one in Ashland (which by the way...they were FANTASTIC!) They did their own exam and found that Isis also had a broken rear leg which Dr. Akers obviously did not examine. I was furious to find out that even though Dr. Akers was told that our dog had fallen out the second story window she did not do a thorough exam for any other injuries than the front leg. The front leg that she said would need pinned was not as severe as she told us and would not require any surgery. The rear leg (that she totally missed) was severely fractured and WOULD require surgery. The problem was that by this time it had already been 4 days since the injury and Isis had been without any stabilization of the rear leg during that time. Surgery was performed, but the damage had been extensive due to not being stabilized and she developed an infection which she passed away from the next week. I did put a stop on the check I wrote due to the insufficient care that was given to my Papillon.
While I'm sure others may have had good experiences with Dr. Jody Akers, I have not. I have also attended her free rabies clinics that she holds every spring and she was very rough with their handling causing bleeding from the shot site. She hit the bone with the needle on my friends dog and made no apologies for it nor did she try to assist in stopping the bleeding that all our dogs experienced from the shots.
I will never use her services again nor will I ever recommend her to anyone else. I have talked to others who have had bad experiences with her as well. I never got the least bit sense that she really cared for the animals that she was attending to. It's nothing more than an income for her.

    Appleseed Valley Veterinary Hospital
The veterinarians seem to be relatively knowledgeable about what they do. They also take time to listen to you. They don't have the attitude that they know more than we do about our animals. That's one of the main reasons that we go there. They listen to us. We also like the fact that they have been willing to help us out when we have had to go there on holidays. You pay for the emergency visits, don't get me wrong, but they are there. Everybody wants something cheaper. We have five dogs, so we have contributed to their bottom line quite a bit.

We had a lot of troubles with the cat. It ran the neighborhood. We could never catch it. It was about half wild and someone had abused. We took her that last time and we didn't even want to know how much it was going to cost to fix it so she put it down. She had seen him before and known that he had been poisoned before. She was just really good. It was a troubled cat that we didn't ask for. She did what she could according to what we asked.
