  • When I let them know I thought I felt a lump they got me in right away. Within 3 days and I was not a current patient. They were very friendly and welcoming. They take you into a room just to talk first before they take you to the examing room. I thought that was good that way if you had a question you could ask it without feeling anxious about being undressed. My doctor answered all my questions. I would definitely go back.

  • Every doctor I go to is very pleasant and explains what they are doing before they even do it. Two of my favorite doctors have since retired though. But that is OK, there are a couple of others still there that I still like and will continue to see until they retire! Very nice nurses too. I have never had a problem with them. If they can't answer a question when I call, they will tell me and say they will find out and call me back.

  • The first problem I encountered was when I went to get my early gestational diabetes testing. I came in and the nurse said hastily, and quot;We will have to reschedule you, it's too late in the day.and quot; like it was my fault they scheduled me wrong. About a month later, I was having sharp pains that didn't feel right. This being my first pregnancy, I didn't know if it was normal or not. I called the nurses line to see if it was normal and sat on hold for nine minutes with no one answering. I hung up and dialed their operator and was put on hold for some more. Decided to just stop in and talk to a nurse in person. When I arrived the receptionist told me that there wasn't anyone there to see me and just to go to the emergency room to get checked out. Ridiculous!!! Everything was fine but just for the simple fact that I wasn't able to speak to anyone in my time of concern. The last and final straw was when my husband and I went in for my 20 week appointment/gender determination appointment. I went in like normal but then was sent to a room to wait on the doctor, so I asked about my ultrasound to which the nurse said that they don't have me down for that and there is only one tech in and shes 2 1/2 hrs. behind schedule!!!!!! I said, well that's what I'm here for today and I'd like to have it done and I'd wait. She then told me that there's no way they could give me my ultrasound and I'd have to reschedule again after taking time off work for the appointment I had to begin with. Additionally the bathrooms are filthy and stink every time I have been there. Unbelievable!! Any person, much less a pregnant women should not be given added stress and unpleasant experiences when she visits her doctor. I will be going to a different doctor for the remainder of my pregnancy. Thank God.

  • My fiancé has been using Dr. Ritenour for a number of years and referred me when I moved to Mansfield. I been very happy with Dr. Ritenour ever since. He is easy to talk to, I hardly ever wait long, and every visit has gone smoothly.

  • The nurses at the hospital basically delivered my son as he came to quickly for Dr to deliver. He was down the hall doing some paper work at the time and I started pushing and the nurse told me to push the call button. But my son was here before the doctor got into my room to deliver him.

  • No complaints! Patti is very friendly, thorough, professional, and makes you feel like you are her only patient. I arrived at my appointment and was called back after a brief, less than 10 minute wait. Everything was typical, with stopping to check my weight, blood pressure, temperature, and brief questions. After getting to the exam room, I was given a gown to put on with a sheet for my lap. Nurse Patti conducted a thorough exam, asking questions, answering my questions, while being gentle and keeping me informed of what she would be doing. Once the exam was finished, I went to the checkout desk, which was busy. I had to wait about 10 minutes to pay & fill out my reminder postcard for next year, so i was glad i wasn't in a hurry. They possibly could use two people to check out patients.

  • I was seen quickly and tests were run immediately. The only trouble I had was getting the appointment set. They would not even make the appointment until they could verify insurance coverage. I had been in the ER initially, but they told me to follow up with a clinic asap. The asap part was later than it should have been.

  • Dr. Vigesaa is the best cardiologist I have found.  His bedside manner is above reproach and his genuine care and concern for his patients is far above typical.  He is thorough in his explanation of the problem and procedures or tests he is recommending or suggesting.  His staff is pleasant and treats each patient with a smile and the respect they deserve.

Do yourself or a loved one with heart problems a favor and go to this doctor.  You will not be sorry.

  • He had so many patients that you would have to wait a minimum of an hour to see him. I have waited in that office for my appt for up to 7 hours before. His office staff treats you like you are an inconvenience to them and they act like they are superior to you.  Years ago this doctor and his staff were excellent, but now they are all horrible since all of his decent employees quit or got fired and replaced with the sorry excuses for professionals that are currently under his employ. His staff has little to no medical experience, and none of them are qualified to do their jobs. They do not follow universal precautions and do not respect patient confidentiality in the least. If you get an injection, it is done by his staff, who does not know how to give an injection properly, let alone take your blood pressure. On several occasions, his staff has injected me with an antibiotic that I am allergic to, even though it was documented that I was allergic and even though he had not ordered a antibiotic shot for me!  His staff is prejudiced and thinks they rule the roost, trying to control every aspect of the office, right down to withholding prescriptions for medication that the doctor wrote for you if they don't think you need it. They do not respect the privacy of other patients at all-they discuss your confidential health information and treatment amongst one another in the presence of other patients. I was in the waiting room and one of the workers put a prospective patient on speaker phone to ask all of their "screening questions". I was able to hear the whole conversation, which started off with the woman's name and basic info. The conversation went more in depth, why she was looking for a new doctor and what conditions she has that she needs treatment for. The woman told her that the only things she needed the doctor to treat her for was high blood pressure and diabetes, but that she was seeing a specialist for some other health issues that she would discuss with the doctor. The snob who was taking the info told her that she needed all of her health problems so the doctor could look over the information before her 1st visit. The woman then told her that she was HIV positive and that is what she was seeing the specialist for. Once the employee heard that, she told her that the doctor would not be willing to take her on as a patient, and then hung up on her! She then proceeded to rip the questionnaire that she had filled out in half, and then walked over to the shredder and shredded it! She did not even give it to the doctor to allow him to make the decision for himself! The doctor will answer his cell phone in the middle of seeing you, and does not give you a thorough visit, since he has so many other people waiting on him. He has his staff ask you what your concerns are and the reason for your visit, and then he does not address any situations in the room, just proceeds to  write your prescriptions and lab work/x-rays, etc. out and does not explain anything! If the office is packed to the gills with no sitting room, which is a normal occurrence, his staff will even come up to you and tell you, "You need to make this quick so he can get through his day. He's really busy and can't afford to take 15 minutes answering all the questions you have." And you are sitting there thinking, "Are you serious?!?!" The pure definition of someone who is just in it for the money is this group of people here. If his staff starts to dislike you or gets sick of you taking up too much of the doctor's time, they will hunt for reasons to get rid of you.  They will call your pharmacy to see if you are filling your medications all at the same time and at the same place, order you to take a drug screen without asking the doctor, and will call you and have you come in for a random pill count, expecting you to just be available to them at their disposal and drop whatever you are doing or leave work at the drop of a hat on the same day they call you, and they do all this to the point of harassment. They pick favorites, and if you get on their bad side or question the doctor about something they said or did that you want to make sure of or hear come straight from the doctor himself, they will make you as miserable as they possibly can and treat you as bad as they can while you are there, to the point where they actually make you cry. They have done this to many people recently because the doctor got into trouble with the state medical board when he "departed from the minimal standards of care, and violated the Board’s prescribing rules by actions including, but not limited to, inappropriately continuing to prescribe controlled anorectics despite the presence of possible contraindications, failing to appropriately evaluate or document the evaluation and treatment of patients for specified medical conditions, failing to maintain complete and accurate medical records..." as quoted from the medical board's website. It is awful funny that many of the people that were listed in the state's complaint were the people who were discharged.   Here is my personal experience. I am not exaggerating any of this in the least bit, and have full documentation to back up everything I am saying. First, they drug tested me at my appt. Then a week and a half later they called me, trying to get me to come in for a pill count and screen again and told me to bring in my pills for a count and a drug screen and told me to be there within the next 3 hours, as they closed at 5. I went, took the screen and got all my meds counted, and one of his ever so proficient (sarcasm) office staff wound up spilling a half full bottle of pills, causing them to fall all over and roll all over the exam room. After we found them, she counted them and told me that I was good to go and that all of my pill counts were on target to where they should be. At my next appt, they made me sit and wait till all the other patients had been seen and had left the office, then told me that they were discharging me and handed me a letter that said it was due to doctor/patient incompatibility along with scripts for 1 month's worth of meds. I was not allowed to talk to the doctor about some new concerns I had, which wound up putting me in the hospital! I pulled out my phone in front of her and started recording the conversation, laying my phone flat on the counter where she could see I was recording the whole thing. I asked what the real reason was and told her that the reason they indicated on the piece of paper they gave me was a complete crock because I had been a patient for over 8 years and if the doctor and I were "incompatible", he should have figured that out 8 years ago. She then tried to tell me that I did not pass my drug test because I did not have all my medications in my system. I told her that was impossible and demanded to have a copy of my test results. She gave me a copy, and I looked it over as she was trying to tell me to look it over at home. As I had known, my test was perfect for ALL of my meds. Even the reading from the lab said "The test results are consistent with the medications and dosages indicated on the test requisition." Everything read normal and within range. I asked her how I failed my test when all the meds were in my system and within range and there was nothing that I was not prescribed in my system. She said, "Well, you were not complying with filling your meds. You were hanging on to your scripts and not filling them when you got them. One of your prescriptions got filled 2 weeks late." She told me the name of the medication, and I told her that I turned it in with all my other scripts, and told her that the reason that it was not filled on time is because THEY did not complete the prior authorization that my insurance needed to cover the medication, and reminded her that the pharmacy had to contact them 3 times before they did the prior authorization and told her that if they would have done their jobs, that I would have got my meds when they were due. She THEN tried telling me it was because I had 1pill too many in one of the bottles from my pill count and said I missed a dose! I then asked her "Are you serious? So, basically I am being discharged because I am a good patient and I follow all the rules and take all my medications like I should and cater to your every beck and call and you can't find a good reason to get rid of me?!?!" She replied, (I HAVE THIS WHOLE CONVERSATION RECORDED), "Yep. You see, that's the beauty of it. I can discharge who I want, when I want, how I want, and I DON'T have to real reason to do it." If you want to be degraded and disrespected to the point that you feel like a lower life form and get sub standard medical care, then go ahead and see this mediocre doctor and his joke of a staff. None of them are professional or proficient enough to care for humans. I wouldn't even take a stray cat to them for help. I am glad I was given the chance to go look for REAL MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS. Looking back, I don't know how I took that torture for so long. I wouldn’t recommend this doctor or his staff to my worst enemy! Run fast in the other direction, and don't look back. Going to this doctor's office is just a waste of time and more of a headache than what it's worth.
