    Third Street Community Clinic
It all went very well. I had to wait a little longer then normal but that's OK. Lori takes good care of me!! I didn't know if I would like her at first as I liked my other doctor I had, but she transferred to a clinic closer to her hometown. But I love Lori now.

She took a throat culture to check for streap throat.  It came back negative so she said "well its negative and I don't see any other signs of sickness so you are fine." But I was not fine and she wouldn't listen to that.  I had to end of being my own doctor and ask her to refere me to different specialist.  Until I found the answer and am doing fine now.  She had also had me on acid reflux medicine that I did not need and that should never be a long term solution which I did not know at the time.  Also she had previously prescribed me a muscle relaxer and told me to take Aleve which if i had acid reflux (which she was treating me for) I should never have taken.

    Third Street Community Clinic
I must say that the Third Street Clinic overall is an excellent facility. I have sought treatment there for several years and have liked everyone that I have encountered except for the man assigned as my primary physician.
Dr. Keith Davis is argumentative, callous and snide. I have had the displeasure of seeing him three different times and it is always the same thing. I thought perhaps he was having an off day at first, but he treated my wife the same way. We are middle aged citizens, not used to be treated so shoddily by people we employ. She will no longer go to the man, nor will I. Thank god the clinic allows walk ins.
After speaking to staff about him, we found this to be the general consensus and a reoccurring theme. Why they employ him is beyond me.
When I asked Dr Davis for help quitting smoking he informed me from the beginning that he would not prescribe drugs, I wanted Chantix or the patch, because he believed that these were crutch's. He informed me that I needed to buck up, bite the bullet and quit cold turkey like a man.
Of course I had already tried this many times, hence my visit. He then attempted to lecture me on psychology, all the while making me feel ridiculous for asking for medical help. I still had to pay my co-pay for the luxury of his esteemed advice.
I recommend the clinic and their fine staff to any/all. Just make sure to avoid Dr Davis at all costs. If it were not for that man, I would be giving the Clinic a "B+" across the board.

    Galion Community Hospital

My brother was very very ill for 5 days throwing up and in terrible pain, when we arrived to Galion hospital we were there for hours, watching nurses eating in the medical supply room, not washing there hands. (on multiple occasions.) We witnessed many nurses standing around talking about food recipes and relationships, while the rooms were filled with patients needing help.

My brother has a history of kidney stones, and we feared this was another episode. we asked for a cat scan to confirm. But the doctor (Dr. S) stated he was good to go home, no stone's at all. sleep it of he says. they pumped him full of meds, and fluids and off we went. When we got home, he was already vomiting again. Well by 6 am we were back and he was much much worse. There was a new doctor on staff and she tells us maybe he passed his stones. She showed us where the doctor the night before (Dr. S) DID in fact find 2 kidney stones in his left kidney but told us there was none?? He didn't miss them either, because he actually had it written in the records. Very displeased and concerned for other patient's that's may deal with this hospital. I recommend Ashland if you can get there. Thanks for listening

    Third Street Community Clinic
I was received quickly and looked at by a clinician. However there was no attempt made to remove the sliver. I was told to soak it and take antibiotics. There seemed to be a bit of confusion as to what to do. I was told that they did not have the equipment there to treat me. I finally went to another doctor who removed a 1/2" sliver from deep inside of my finger.
I was very surprised because they have a nice office, fully staffed and the only equipment needed was a pair of needle nosed tweezers. So I do not recommend them simple procedures like the one I experienced, but I will go back when I am sick...

    Third Street Community Clinic
My experience with this facility was horrible, at the very least. They spent almost 3 years avoiding obvious symptoms, ordering improper tests and giving me the run-around. In the end, I searched for and found a new doctor. My new doctor order ONE xray of my spine and found the cause(s) of all my pain. Needless to say, had Third Street Family Health Services taken the time to listen to my concerns, they should have deducted that my pain problems were OBVIOUS symptoms of a spinal injury. I will NEVER set foot in this facility again. Their disregard caused more pain and suffering than was ever needed. In the end, their misdiagnosis allowed the problem to become more severe. I'm so very happy to be away from there and on to a medical practice that cares!

Dr. Adkins has been my primary Doctor for about 4 years now. I consider myself very fortunate to have found him, since I really just picked their office out of the phone book way back when without any recommendation. The office is always quite busy and with just 3 doctors on staff, you usually have to wait awhile to get to see the doctor. They are busy because they are really developing a solid reputation in the community. During the summer when one of them takes vacation it is usually worse, since they then have 2 Doc's covering the patient load of 3. Knowing this I just always make sure that I bring something to read while I am waiting. If you have an appointment for "Lab Work" (i.e. they just need to draw some blood for testing or similar) you will likely be in and out in just a few minutes. Dr. Adkins is a true professional. He has diagnosed several issues with me and been "right on the money" every time. Even when I was thought that he might be wrong, he turned out to be exactly right in his diagnosis and treatment plan. He is really busy and you likely won't get to (or really need to) spend too much time with him, so I always have what I want to tell him written down, so that I don't leave anything important out. It doesn't seem to take him very long at all to accurately size up any injury or illness. He has a ton of experience at this stage of his career and is at the top of his game. I no longer have health insurance and without it the cost can be $85 dollars just to spend a few minutes talking to him. But that is just the nature of medical care costs these days. Like I said, I consider myself fortunate to have someone of Dr. Adkins high level of competency to speak with and understand that it may seem a bit pricy. It is still a very good value. The staff area all very nice and very efficient as well.

The staff is nice and you can always get in to see her. She is very nice. But, 3 members of my family have seen her and 3 of us have asthma. She does not give refills unless you come in to see her every 2 to 3 weeks. I thnk she gives everyone or most everyone an asthma diagnosiss. She runs an EKG on me every time I am in and I have seen a heart specialist and nothing is rong! I will be getting a new Doctor as soon as I can.
