Weickert's was professional from beginning to end. They gave us a quote in a timely manner, and the scheduling process was very simple. The man who came to test finish colors was friendly, and gave me feedback on how different finishes/colors would work with my specific flooring type. The work was completed while we were out of town, in the exact time frame we agreed on, after we left their provided lockbox on the back door. We came home to fresh and beautiful floors. We are so happy with the finish and the floors look like new. There was one small flaw where something fell into one of the layers of poly, but they set up a day to come back and touch up that area free of charge. Thanks, Weickerts!

    Assured Construction
Absolutely fantastic! I couldn't of asked for a better company to come in and totally renovate my house! From the slate tile to the wood ceiling and both kitchen and bathroom full remodeled and so much more this company is by far the best company! They showed up on time everyday! They got work done on or before the deadline! And the work was absolutely perfect they are very meticulous and pay attention to ALL the detail! They made sure both me and my wife were 100% satisfied along the way! The communication is a big thing with me and they exceeded my expectations when it came to that! This is by far the best company! All around 5 stars! I will be using them soon to finish my basement!

    Hometown Flooring Inc
    * Over a 2 week period of seeing 5 different men who work for Hometown Flooring, they would show up work for an hour or so & leave & not come back, we went w/o a stove for 4 days b/c they left & didn't hook it back up over the Labor Day wknd & the wood floor pieces they put down had to be completely removed & a new floor put down. The carpet is not properly attached in basement or living room. It was such a bad job the contractor I was using who hired Hometown Flooring "Fired" them. I would NEVER use Hometown Flooring Again * He (Chris Huhn, owner) even had his brother come to work on the house, no problem, but his brother invited a friend (I wasn't home, my sister was there to let them in) to train him, ok but should have worked it in advance, the friend brought his 2 year old daughter to leave outside in the car or bring in the house, then they let Chris Huhns daughter in my home to take pictures.....all this without my permission & as I stated not only did they not finish the job after weeks of bad workmanship & Unprofessional behavior, I would not allow them back in my home & they were fired by the contractor I was using. The pictures are what I came home too (early from vacation b/c of this mess) on Labor Day when the floor was supposed to be completed the 1st time

    Floor Coverings International - Cincinnati
When I decided to move forward with installing the wood flooring throughout the remaining portion of my living area I researched potential service providers on Angie's List. I reached out to Floor Coverings International (FCI) and within a few days of speaking with Katie Fitzgerald, we met and she took me through the process FCI goes through in completing the workrequested, and gave me a quote.

After about three weeks, Katie followed up with me to see if I had any other questions and whether I had made a decision. I was waiting on one more quote and after Katie got back with me on a couple of other questions that I had, we agreed to FCI doing the work. I was going to be on vacation during the week Katie was planning on FCI performing the work and when I indicated that would not fit with my schedule she said it was not a problem and the work was scheduled for the following week.

A couple or so days prior to the start of the work, Katie and her husband Jim picked up the wood from their supplier anddelivered the wood to my home, in two separate trips, so the wood could acclimate to the room temperature. They also gave me the names of the installers who would be doing the work and the time I should expect them. As promised, Chris and Steve were here as scheduled and ready to get to work. They took about 1/2 day to take up the carpet and ceramic tile, vacuumed, swept up and removed all debris from the demolition. Over the next two days, Chris and Steve installed the wood flooring constantly cleaning and vacuuming behind their work. I had moved into my townhome a year earlier so we didn't know if the wood that was ordered would match that laid down by the builder. Fortunately it was a perfect match and Chris and Steve were able to tooth the wood in so the floor looked as if it was allinstalled when my place was built. They did an outstanding job and tried their best to minimize the dust level and debris. This was my first time living through a remodeling project and although it was a relatively small job, any interruption can be an inconvenience. However, both Chris and Steve were focused on getting the job done and went about their work with a high level of professionalism and customer service. Prior to leaving each day, Chris advised me as to the time they would arrive the next morning and what the plan was for the next day's work; they were true to this schedule.

This project was completed from Wednesday to Friday and later that Fridayafternoon, Jim and Katie were wanting to do a walk through of the area to review the work completed but I was not available sothis was done the following day. I was thrilled with the way the entire project was handled and the new look of my open living area! From my first contact with Katie through the end, I felt FCI was concerned about their clients and wanted them to know their project would be a priority and handled with a high level of quality. I would not hesitate to use FCI again.

Everything went great. We met Jim Sr at their store and told him what we were looking for. He took the time to explain all the different flooring options (laminate, engineered hardwood, hardwood, and vinyl) so we could make an informed decision. We took samples from the store for a day to determine what we thought would look good. He had someone come measure our house within 24 hours so he could give us an accurate quote. Their price was comparable to another quote we received. They told us it would take 3 days and it did take 3 days. The workers were very good and provided little disruption to our house. Everything looks wonderful.

Ed and his team did an excellent job in all areas. He was quick to return my call to set up a time for an estimate and stayed in touch until the work was completed.  Work was done to repair a small area in my hardwood floors in one of our bedrooms.  The young men that Ed sent to do the job were very personable, on time and completed the job in a timely manner. They even went a step further by matching the stain on the existing hardwood floor and left me a small amount so I could blend in the repair myself, saving me extra money.  When I had a question later that day regarding the work that had been completed,  Ed was very quick to respond to my phone call and answer any questions I had.  Would definitely use them again  when I am ready to completely refinish my  floors.

Their installers were fabulous, very knowledgeable, courteous and professional.  We had to stack our 900 sq ft of bamboo in the house for 7 days prior to the install to ensure the product adjusted to its surroundings. I highly recommend you take Katie on her offer to come and help!  It was an undertaking and took about 5 hours to stack the planks!  We paid the extra to  have all the old flooring removed; something well worth the money! It took them a full day to remove the carpet, vinyl and hardwood that was down.  If you're thinking of saving money and doing it yourself DON'T!

We have 2 large German Shepherds, 1 and 2 years old.  The Cali Bamboo is one strong product; which is why we went with it.  They both have rather large solid Nylabones that will break your toe if dropped.  At first I was very hesitant to allow them to have them after the floors were installed, I finally gave in and I'm happy to report there is no damage to the floors.  They drop them slide and slide them across the floors with no scratches or dents to report!  Hands down I am very pleased we spent the extra money and went with the bamboo!

We have had a small issues with a few of our boards separating and trust that they take care of it.

One other thing to note; if you have plants in the house be sure to have something under them before you water them.  We had a small OOPPS and had standing water on the floor overnight.  Not a large amount but enough for the boards to warp a bit, this was 2 weeks after our install.  I was beside myself thinking we would have to pay to have the boards pulled up and replaced, we left it alone to see what would happen and the boards did straighten out and lay flat about a month later!   Lesson learned but know that if you do get water damage, leave it alone to see what happens!

    Fabulous Floors of Cincinnati
It was easy to schedule an appointment and he was on time.  I really appreciated his honesty.  He carefully assessed  our outcome goals and then told us that we would not be pleased with the results of the simple non-sanding resurfacing.  (The floors are pretty far gone!)  He still measured everything and gave us a quote and also told us what he thought we could do to get them looking new again.  (This rep didn't do the needed kind of full-refinishing, but he would contract with someone to have it done.)  He understood that wasn't in our budget at this time, but gave us the info for future reference.  So, all in all- I was delighted with the interaction.  Not the answer I wanted, but I was so thankful to discover that prior to spending money rather than after!  When we have the funds for the sanding/refinishing, we will definitely be giving them a call.

    Hammonds Hardwood Floor Co
He is the only one of the three companies contacted that actually showed up when promised. Measured my room and asked that I come out to his shop to choose the type of wood I would like so he could provide a quote. Finally got out there to choose some colors and received a quote that afternoon. Very fair price. Will review again after work complete, but my experience so far has been excellent

Selected Brazilian Teak for its hardness rating and good reviews. After purchasing the flooring things went down hill from there. Installation was poor. They left large gaps up to the wall. When I complained they came out and "repaired it" They did not remove the baseboards like I asked, but just cut a sliver of wood and placed it in the area. It looks horrible. Left one large gap with nothing. Did not measure or include any floor vents. When I went back and asked why I had no vent covers, they said they forgot. They had to come out and cut the area to fit the vent leaving the area chipped and it looks like it was done after the fact. They kept all excess wood flooring, 2 full boxes, and would not give them to me. I demanded their return to me and they finally gave me one box. Good way to build up a little free inventory for them. Now one year later the floor looks like h***. Lots of dents, chipped, cracked. It will have to be eventually replaced it looks so bad. Spacing between the boards is too large, to the point you can really fell it when you walk on the floor. Horrible company and experience. Not responsive to my complaints.
