    Elite Chiropractic
Positive: Dr. Matt Kelly is knowledgeable and seems to want his patients to get better. He is extremely chatty; making it hard to get a word in edgewise (this could be a good or a bad thing depending on if you want conversation). Negative things: A word of caution regarding Elite Chiropractic's and Dr. Matt Kelly: He is extremely unethical regarding insurance. They do not adequately explain benefits and how they will be billing. If you are going to see the chiropractor, BEWARE that they bill for more than just chiropractic's. While I saw Dr. Matt Kelly, he billed for Physical Therapy visits as well as Chiropractic. That may not be an issue for some people. However, I was also seeing a physical therapist for rehab from a separate injury. Dr. Matt knew this the entire time I was going to see him, (he asked me occasionally how my physical therapy was going) and he nor his staff thought to mention to me that they were also billing PT, and that might be an issue with the limited PT visits I have per year. This ended up causing me $1000 dollars in medical bills from my physical therapist, because my insurance denied the claims due to maximum benefit reached(since Dr. Matt had used up my visits unbeknownst to me). DO NOT GO TO DR. MATT unless you are extremely familiar with how chiropractors bill as well as your exact benefits. Elite Chiropractic WILL NOT inform you on the specifics. They will simply run your insurance and tell you if you are covered or not. I spoke with several other chiropractors, social workers, and lawyers concerning this. Every single one of them was aghast at this situation. However unethical it was, it was legal so I had nothing I could do. Dr. Matt is greedy and unethical. I did not see a single bill nor EOB from them until it was too late to do anything about.

I have seen several chiropractors in different cities over the past 25 years, for successful spinal adjustments that I need because of inherited back abnormalities.
Several years ago, a backpacking injury left me with multiple disc ruptures and herniations.  Afterward, I underwent physical therapy (including traction), spinal adjustments, medical massage, cortisone shots, pain and anti-inflammatory medications and acupuncture, but the sciatic pain continued and was chronic and ruining my life.
A friend kept insisting that I try her chiropractor for disc-decompression.  I finally did, and for the past 2 years I've been driving 60 miles round-trip once a month, because this turned out to be my silver bullet.
Because of my increasingly busy schedule (and almost $4 a gallon for gas!), I decided to try to find a chiropractor closer to home that had one of these computerized tables (which is basically a form of traction, but which I found to be much more effective).  I made several phone calls and found Dr. Roth had this table and was highly rated on the list, so I called and scheduled an appointment, making it very clear that I had already been fully assessed and was only interested in continuing the table therapy, which they said would be fine.
First, I was slightly annoyed when I arrived to find that I did not have an appointment with Dr. Roth, but with another, new doctor.  But because I was there for the table, I decided to continue.
Second, I was surprised by the open concept in this office.  If you are there for an assessment or an adjustment, you are out in the middle of the room with everyone else--similar to many physical therapy offices, but at least at PT offices they have privacy curtains that can be pulled if you're doing passive therapy such as ultrasound treatment.  Even the room with the decompression table had 2 of them in it, so you're lying just a few feet from another patient--very awkward.
The doctor was also very pushy, insisting that I needed to be assessed, x-rayed, despite the fact that I told him I have multiple x-rays from the Cleveland Clinic (which he seemed to feel weren't current enough) and adjusted, despite the fact that I told him I no longer adjust effectively because of spurring and other arthritic changes in my back.
So over the course of several treatments, I had a lot of x-rays (so a lot of radiation), which showed exactly what I had told him, and I had 2 attempts at adjustment, which were both unsuccessful (nothing moved but it certainly hurt--remember I have been a regular chiropractic patient for many years with several very good chiropractors, so I know what a successful adjustment is).
Third, having gone through all this, the disc decompression they provided didn't help my back at all.  They use a different computer sequence that is much less aggressive than what I had been having, and despite my telling them each time that it didn't feel effective, nothing different happened the next time.
And finally, there were other things about the practice that I did not like.  Their hours are not convenient for someone who works 8-5 (they have no late evenings and no Saturday hours, so I had to leave work early and hope I didn't run into traffic).  They put you in the low-light room with soft music for your decompression table, which is good, but they leave the door open so you hear the loud top-40 music blaring from the other room at the same time which completely ruins the relaxation effect.  They had a teenager setting up my x-rays, which I was not happy about because I take x-ray exposure very seriously.  I was supposed to get a 'free' 30 minute massage as a new patient, but each time they came up with some excuse why I couldn't get the massage (oh, she's busy now, maybe next time).
I understand that the practice might be experiencing growing pains because they've added another provider, but my overall experience was a disappointment.  They didn't acknowledge me when I told them I just needed to continue on with an established treatment--maybe they'll see this review and finally listen.

After 2 months of treatment, my low back problems are significantly improved.........almost completely gone.  I was given a lift to put in my shoe and within 2 weeks my hip pain was gone.
I love that they take a holistic approach.  They have a massage therapist and a trainer to work every angle and get you back to normal.
They communicate with each other and come up with the best plan for your needs.
I was given stretches and strengthening exercises to do along with the adjustments.  At first I went 3 days per week.  Then I cut back to 2 and I am just about to cut back to one day.
Never having been to a chiropractor, I was doubtful in the beginning.  They have made a believer out of me.  Their treatment plan worked for me.
THey did not accept my insurance, but I purchased a package of 18 visits for around $575.  Worth every penny because I feel so much better.  I have returned to all the activities I could not do before.  Very pleased with the entire experience.

He was terrific. He completely got rid of her pain. He is very thorough. He is very quick; he just takes 5 minutes to get you in and out. He does not do anything unnecessary. My wife and I have seen chiropractor before but he is different. Dr. Duermit explains what the problem is and what he is going to do about it. He is trained in acupuncture, acupressure and a lot of natural healing. My wife was scheduled for a surgery and he did some acupressure thing. In just 2 visits my wife has felt so good. You are in and out quickly and it takes care of the problems. He fixes you up and you are on your way. We are so glad we found him. His office is beautiful; its like a spa. It is modern and it has a lot of wood and leather furniture in it.
