They do follow up checks on her heart and pacemaker. They have kept her alive for 17 years. You never get in for your appointment on time because of all the patients they have.

    Cleveland Clinic
All my doctors are from this hospital, and I have had them for several years. My last appointment with one of the doctors was for a follow up with the specialist. My experience with them has been A-one; it couldn't be better, and I am treated fabulously. I couldn't imagine the highest level I would go to recommend something, and that would be the level I would recommend them. I have had two heart surgeries and they are fine. They both were quite a bit in the past, one was almost five years ago and the other was eighteen years ago. The doctors are great. Everyone is so professional, and treats me wonderfully. On hospitalizations I am cared for wonderfully, and I can't say enough. I can get an appointment the same day if I need it. Their office environment is terrific; everything there is clean, crisp, very clinical and wonderful. They are usually very punctual, but then depending upon what the discipline or what the doctors are, they could be catching up a little longer with some patients if it's a specialty, and if they are running late I always get an apology from the doctor. I understand because there are times they had to take a longer with me at a visit, so of course that would affect somebody else. They aim to stay on time usually with your primary, and with the specialties they wouldn't take too much time for tests and things, and you are pretty much on time. Their staff is trained in being professional and how they need to treat the patients coming in, and I know about that because I worked at the clinic 25 years ago. Their staff is terrific. I have had absolutely no problems with their communication; I get a written report in my hand when I am leaving, and with other doctors there will always be an update on my vitals and my medications as I leave. They have all my information in there as all the records in the hospital are electronic, so that no matter what doctor I go to in their system they all have access. I can always remember the detail, especially as I get older. They are getting better with their billing procedures, they went through a couple of systems and all, but I think they have got in a king state out. They will treat me fine if I have got questions when I get my bills as there are lots of people who answers the questions for me. My primary care physician, all specialties and physical therapies are all usually within their system because they have provisions for all of that at multiple locations.

My husband was diagnosed with a blown heart valve. There were family members who wanted to see my husband have his surgery at the Cleveland Clinic,. After meeting Dr. Sekhon, there was no question but that he was going to perform the surgery.

    Cleveland Clinic
My experience with the Cleveland Clinic has all been good so far.  The last time when I was there, I had a little problem in getting my prescription.  My wife and I use the service of different doctors at the Cleveland Clinic.  My wife just had a cardiac stent placed, and I had an angioplasty and surgery for carpal tunnel with them.  I would see them again in the future.

    Lahorra, Dr. Joseph A
I had my fourth heart attack on October 27th and I had a bunch of stents already in.  I figured my cardiologist will be able to put another stent in and I would go home the next day; but it turned out that all three of my arteries were 70% blocked and I had already had 10 stents in there and my cardiologist could not do anything else. So Dr. Joseph A. Lahorra his partner did a triple bypass for me on Halloween. He is an excellent surgeon. I would recommend him to anybody. My overall experience with him has been excellent. Regarding availability, he was excellent. They made the appointment before I left the hospital, I got there and I was probably only in the waiting room 10 minutes may be 15 minutes, had my appointment, they released me to drive and I was on my way home. I would refer him to anyone that needed a heart surgeon.

    Cleveland Clinic
The Cleveland Clinic is outstanding. Everybody there must love their job because they are all about customer service. They come in every hour and check on you and it's not like you're sitting in your hospital bed forever waiting. They have fold out couches and the family is not only allowed but encouraged to stay all day and all night with their family member. They explain everything to you all the time and take care of your every need. The clinic takes up probably half of the city and people come from everywhere around the world to go there. The building she was in was their cardiovascular building and the hospital itself treats everything. They have buildings for illnesses and even the people who did the housekeeping were so kind and personable. I wanted to go volunteer there after she had her surgery because they were so good to her. The food was good and the first floor of the building that she was in had four restaurants in it and it looked like a convention center or something. At the very top of the building they have a pavilion where patients could go and on certain days they have tea or music or yoga and it's just unbelievable. It's awesome! They treat the whole person and not just what your illness is. The doctors that work there just work there and they don't have a practice anywhere else. They all work together and there's no competition or anything and I love that because they all talk to each other and know what's going on with the patient.

    Cleveland Clinic
It came out very well. The doctors and the nurses were very good. They explained everything beforehand. They had people come in to talk with you. Even before the surgery I was there for 3 weeks and they were very attentive, they had a lot of people come in to speak with you. After the surgery the care was very good, they sent a visiting nurse to my home and sent a physical therapist to get me started on that.
