    Adopt a Pit
We could not have asked for a more wonderful experience even though we did not end up adopting the pair we found because of our current situation dealing with COVID-19. The rescue owner, Kirsten, was responsive to all of our questions and honest about the qualities of the dogs we were considering. She was willing to drive over three hours for us to meet. From our lengthy conversations it was clear she is passionate about providing the best care for the dogs she rescues. I would readily work with her again when we find a rescue which is a better fit for our current situation and family. Adopt a Pit is a quality rescue organization.

    Save a Mom Rescue
I filled out an application and followed up with a phone call the next day because I hadn't heard back yet. The phone number was available on the website. Denise was super nice and easy to work with. She made time to meet up after business hours and I got to adopt a wonderful puppy!

They allowed us to meet the puppy before any final decisions were made. Once were were convinced ( we knew before, we've had dogs in the past and an older dog now) that we were ready to adopt another one. Better to adopt that to BUY! They met us at a pet store in a private room to meet, discuss, share and experience our new furry family member!

If you're going to adopt a dog or a cat, this is an excellent place to go. They take care of the animals before you adopt them. They make sure they are spayed and neutered and have all of their shots.

    GEAUGA HUMANE SOCIETY
All we wanted was the one cat but we had to take his brother too, he has a little brain damage. There are tons of pets there. It is a great place but they do get overloaded. They do not put their animals to sleep. They are wonderful. The prices are good, we got two for the price of one.

    Bevan's Pet Supply
I have used their services for three years. They have a complete grooming list for cats and dogs. They will even give cats flee baths. They rescue and adopt out animals. When I board my dogs I am happy that they let them out for exercise. They have organic pet food as well that is gluten free and also no grain foods. They are very reasonably priced for a small business. They always have great rapport with the animals and are very calming. They always exceed my expectations.

    Paws and Prayers
Paws and Prayers is well run, with daily updates on their website, and application processes and policies well established. All adoptees are neutered or spayed, shots current, and evaluated by a vet for any medical issues prior to adoption. I adopted a senior Lhasa Apso named Chester who is just terrific. Patty, his foster mom, couldn't have been more helpful and knowledgeable about this little dog and shared everything she could about Chester's personality and his likes and dislikes. This is a charity worthy of donations!

I went to an adoption event at Chapel Hill PetsMart and fell in love with him! I filled out an application and took him home that day! He had already had all his shots and was neutered. They were very professional and courteous. They followed up to make sure everything was going okay and offered training services should I need them. I liked my experience with them so much I ended up adopting another dog from them 2 years later.

It was very clean. The surgery site was absolutely beautiful. She was very well taken care of. When she came home to me, she was fine. They are great with helping people of lower income. They also have an adoption center. They have a very nice layout and very clean. The people there are very courteous and nice. They do a lot for the community and pet care and making sure that pets are well taken care of. They do take donations.

My only complaint (and there is really nothing they did wrong) was that my pup had developed a cough right before I got her. Of course, she had kennel cough and I needed to take her to the vet right away. Otherwise, the whole process was very smooth.
