AOhio Basement AuthorityMitchell from Ohio Basement Authority was amazing. He was quite knowledgeable and thorough with our maintenance and only replaced what needed replaced and left spares for when needed. He was quite accommodating. I definitely like OBA and their staff. I would highly recommend.- Misty S.

AComplete Structural InstallationsComplete Structural Installations completed a job for our family in a very timely manner. Even though our location was two hours away, they arrived on time, as they said. They installed 8 hydraulic piers to stabilize the foundation of our home. They were not only prompt and worked quickly, they were professionals and I didn't worry about strange men working around my house for several days in a row. I would definitely recommend them. Several years later, we still have not had one single issue with their work. We just had a complimentary visit per our request, just to make sure everything still measured okay. It was perfect. :) Worth the money for the quality work!- Melody C.

AComplete Structural InstallationsEverything was done well and still working. Steel piers were installed and are still holding firmly. Water abatement is working after CSI placed concrete sidewalk and garage entrance repairs. Workers were professional, informative and cleaned up after themselves. Estimate was spot on communication was exceptional. I would definitely hire them again and highly recommend them.- Gwynn M.

AHigh Tech Basement SystemsThey were excellent. They came in and they got it finished. We have not had any issues at all. As a matter of fact they have done several jobs in the area since and so there have been not any problems. The gentleman who came out and talked with us was very professional. It was a very messy job and the guys that did the work were just great. They were wonderful. They did not do anything on the outside; we did not have any standing water we only had dampness around the edges and we just simply did not want to invest in finishing the basement without having that fixed.- Saundra H.

FCrawl Space & Basement SolutionsThe only good thing I can say about this whole experience is they were on time and installed their product. Thats my good review of this company. Now to the rest. Crawl Space and Basement Solutions dealt with my wife, she called Crawl Space and Basement Solutions on recommendation of a couple of her friends. I offered to get involved because these type of companies are dubious at best (remember B-Dry). But she felt Basement Solutions would do the honourable thing. Heh Heh. Lets just say Jerry (aka. front man aka. salesman) didn't listen to a word my wife said (well because she is a woman). She told him we get quite a bit of water in our basement and we would need something to handle the deluge of water. Jerry said we have just the thing (translation: anal probe). Well to make a long story short they came (on time) installed their product (as advertised) and were gone. Nothing but trouble from the start. Had trouble with the dehumidifier from the start, call, after call, after call. Stall, stall, stall say there is nothing wrong, finally sent someone after a month and a bazillion calls, the tech looks at the dehumidifier and proclaims "Yeah it needs to be replaced!" (Well DUH). Did we see this new 1400.00 (yeah thats right 1400.00) dehumidifier...nope. So we get to the night of 6/30/13 and we have a good rainstorm...a gully worsher if you will. Guess what....yeah almost a foot of water in our basement. Called Crawl Space and Basement Solutions and knew how this was going to go from the start, and it wasn't going to be good for us. We got almost ever excuse under the sun, we had leaks elsewhere, even asked if our hot water tank exploded????? Yeah a forty gallon tank will fill a 20x25 foot room with a foot of water. Finally a tech showed up to look at our basement. It was obvious where the water had came from. See, we painted the walls with snow white water blocking paint after the fix. So any leaking from the walls would be easy to spot. The service tech hem-hawed around saying "Well its not obvious," where the water came from, we didn't have that much water in the basement. Even though the snow white walls had a water line mark all the way around, the dehumidifier was fried, and the back-up battery case was full of water. Really I felt for the tech you could tell he agreed with us, and the blank stare on his face when my wife tore into his behind. I have seen that look before, its the look of a defeated soul. Its the look of being sent out, day after day, to be executed by customer after customer. Plus when he was asked point blank questions by my wife he kept saying "I have a daughter to raise." The excuse to get out of fixing their crappy system???? The old trusty, all encompassing "Act of God". So, even though Crawl Space and Basement Solutions were supposed to replace our dehumidifier before this, now they wont. Even though the service tech said "Wow you need a bigger system," as my wife told Jerry (aka. salesman, aka. Five Fingers Discount Mcgillicutty) nothing forth coming. For the bargain basement price of a couple grand more they will fix their incompetence. So I get to pay for their stupidity...wow I need to get in on this racket, people pay me to be a gimp. Bob Runion is a d*****. He doesn't have enough balls to face his accusers, he sends his lackeys to that for him. See if you have to pay people to insulate you from your customers, you know you have a crappy, substandard product or service. I have a feeling this company will go the way of B-Dry, most of them do, but how many people will they rip off in the process. Like my wife, she trusted this was a good company that would do what was right and stand behind their product...but once again as with most contractors and people of this ilk. They proved why you have to have sites like Angie's list or Yahoo, because its about a quick buck, and not taking care of the customer.- Reva C.

AReally nice people, straight forward, educational, reasonably priced, good guarantee. They spent a fair bit of time educating me of what was to be done. The crew doing the work ( Brian, Matt, Steve, and Joe T. ) made quick work of a large job, putting in 110%, while being very friendly and professional throughout. Would highly recommend to anyone.

AMy first encounter with United Structural Systems company ( USS) was last year, when I had to face the decision which company I go for foundation repair at my house in West Virginia. It was equal bids on my project from two companies USS and Alltek. Unfortunately for me, I made the decision to go with Alltek Environmental Services company at that time. Foundation repair was finished in August 2019 by Alltek (please read my review, that I placed separately for Alltek). 48,000 dollars payment later foundation been done. I finally be able to place my house for sale this year and come to realization, after inspection is done on the house, that it is a presence of water leak in the storage area. I could not believe, how it is possible, when the foundation repair was just done 8 months ago. I guess, things were not done properly after all. After numerous attempts to contact Alltek company, I finally be able to get the response with another promise to “fix it” in the amount of $9,200 or later for free…if I take off my review of their company from homeadvisor.com. Lack of professionalism, poor craftsmanship and PR was major disappointment for me. To be honest, after I been treating inferiorly by Alltek, I did not have any desire to go back to the same company. I was looking for second opinion how to resolve these issues. I decided to reach out again United Structural (who I was hoped to remember me from last year) and explain my dilemma. Bobby K. (Sales Manager for USS) come to the rescue! He was willing to give me his unbiased opinion on the situation. Bobby K, “commander in charge”, went to the house and informed me, that “downspout lines were never installed, the part on top of the ground went nowhere and tie back patch was poor quality”. Simply put it, Alltek did a mediocre job. I immediately made the decision go ahead and proceed with United Structural Systems company for repair of the mistakes. I cannot say enough praise for the USS company and manager Bobby K. This re-du project was done in timely matter, communication was superior ( needless to say I live out of state and it was never an issue), area after the job was clean up to perfection and…the garage/storage area now look dry bone and beautiful. Awhhhh... maybe I should not sell my house after all?! I have a buyer on the house, and I am closing in 2 weeks and can say with all honesty, I could not do that without United Structural help. It was exceedingly difficult situation for me, and it was resolved by USS company with flying colors. Thank you again USS. I recommend you without any hesitation!!! Your company should be proud of to provide such an excellent service and have knowledgeable, competent and skillful experts. Lana Y, Rochester, NY “We are NY tough”

FNOBODY ever came to assess our area to give us a quote. I called Basement Doctor Thursday, July 30. This was my first contact with them. Around 5p Jesse, called. He inquired about location of egress, our address, & our availability to meet with him. He also said that he needs to check with the auditors office. That threw a red flag. Nobody requested that. We’re homeowners. At 5:05 I texted Jesse a few pictures of the interior & exterior of the interested egress location. 9:27 that evening, Jesse texted: You have plenty enough room for egress window sorry I just got out of the appointment about 30 minutes ago we will get you on the schedule and I can come take a look at it :) I texted back, “ no problem, thanks” (Jesse didn’t read my text until Mon, Aug 3...4 days later). Mon, Aug 3 @ 11:00a Jesse texted: I have not forgotten about you lol Well, it’s now Sun, Aug 30. One day shy of four weeks! POOR business representative. Maybe something happened but someone else should’ve followed up. We WILL NOT be using Basement Doctor. Really disappointed.

Recent Review:
FTotally unprofessional. I regret using this company. Rod quoted the work, but the kid doing the job seemed to have never done it before. The chimney needed repair to the top 15 or so brick rows. I had to point out from the ground bricks that still looked (and were) loose after he was "finished". He failed to tuck point one whole side of the chimney. The chimney still leaked after they finished. I went up on the roof to inspect where water might be coming in. The poured concrete cap looked like a someone just spilled a whole bucket of concrete. It slopes toward the chimney vent and water pools on top. Completely useless. The work was "guaranteed" in word by Mr. Layman, but he has not kept his word. I have been calling about the continued leaking for two months and no one has come out. I also found a broken 6 ft extension pole in the gutter which they were too careless to remove after dropping it.
