Plastering reviews in Loveland

  • Gillespie Drywall did a wonderful job. Charles could not have been a nicer guy and the work he and his team did was awesome. We had hung the drywall ourselves and there were several less than perfect spots. Now that the walls are prepped for painting you'd never know. Any premium we may have paid in price was worth it for the quality and speed of the work. We received a quote on Monday and the work was complete Thursday (500 square foot basement, walls and ceiling finished). The basement and walls were left fairly dusty - but it was easy to clean.

  • The men who came out were punctual and professional. They were very conscientious of my family and our home while they were here, taking great care to not damage anything and to clean up after themselves. Though a miscommunication got the project started late they still finished on time. The quality of their work was great overall but wish I had looked more closely before they left as I have noticed a couple places where the finishing is not quite as good as the rest. In the end I was very pleased and have already had them out to estimate some other projects that are too big for me to take on myself. I highly recommend them.

  • Ken arrived on time and set to work right away.  He removed all damaged materials and repairs were done very carefully.  Super clean and very efficient worker.  I would hire him again in a second.  I only wish I had more plaster walls!

  • They were very responsive. They immediately replied to my email. It was literally almost instantaneous. He also called and was very courteous and enthusiastic. He was a fairly young person. It was just really great and a very positive exchange. He's very professional. His pricing was very competitive. The only reason we didn't use him was because we used someone else who was already working on different parts of the house. I really was disappointed that I didn't use them. They were also very punctual. They know what they're doing. They also have a fabulous website. They're really good designers, too. He listened. He made me comfortable with what he told me.

  • He was real good but expensive.  He had done some other work for us previously and he was very good about matching things.  He just does incredible matching of paints or paints with another type of fabric that I had trouble matching, so he was just excellent in that.  That time it was $1300 plus something.  This time he wanted to charge me $1300, I told him that was too much, then he asked me how I would like to spend and I told him, and he took it.  He is just very particular with his painting and is a very good painter.  The best thing about him is the quality of his work.  I would advice others to negotiate with him on the price, once they get the estimate, because if it is too high, he might adjust it.

  • I contracted Sawdust Therapy to remodel a master bath and to install a new tub and shower insert in our hall bath. After both jobs were completed and all payments made, I discovered the chalking on the hall bath shower insert would not properly seal causing a leak. In conversations with Greg Matulionis it was determined that proper support studs were not added to the inner wall as indicated in the manufacturers instructions thus causing excessivel flexibility in the insert. I phoned American Standard and learned that without proper installation my warranty for the insert was useless. Sawdust Therapy suggested cutting out the wall from the adjoining room to install the necessary studs and suggested this would maintain my warranty. Although we were not too excited to have another room torn up to fix the situation, I agreed with the process once approved by American Standard. After a couple of days of not hearing from Mr. Sawdust Therapy we received a check in the mail for a portion of our payment as a refund leaving us with a useless warranty, a leaking insert, and the need to start the process all over agian. I sent a text message (a form of communication we have used throught this process) to Greg Matulionis the owner of Sawdust Therapy asking him to call me regarding the partial refund. His return text was this "I am at dinner with friends. Please secure another company to address your concerns." I intentionally checked each category of service when posting this review as this speaks directly to the workmanship and professionalism of this provider. Stay away.

  • George McCoy and his crew did an unbelievable job on our house. We had just bought it and before we moved in, we needed to undo some of the hideous decor. First of all, George was able to work us in to the schedule so that we could move in on time, which was great. He and his crew showed up on time and worked quickly with excellent results. The dining room had some weird 3-d plaster flowers and other designs protruding from the wall which were painted and looked very odd. The crew sanded the walls and skimmed where necessary. When they finished, you would never know the paint is not on virgin drywall. They did a similarly impressive job removing the wallpaper in the study and painting. once again, the paint is perfect. Same with the huge wall of trim, bookshelves and fireplace/mantel in the family room. Top quality work. And George is a genuinely nice, honest, hard-working man. He worked with the crew himself on most days. He even came out one Saturday and worked by himself for a while so that the job would be at the right stage for his crew to work as fast as possible on Monday morning! We only had one problem, but the way George handled it is a testament to the kind of work he does. About 6 months after they were finished, we started noticing that the trim was pulling away from the walls and ceiling in the dining room, family room and entry hall. I called George. He came out the next day to take a look. He was both embarrassed and apologetic. He told me that is not the kind of work he does. The next day, his crew was back at our house removing all the caulk and replacing it. After they let it cure, they came back and painted it. Within a week, it was good as new. No hassle. No questions asked. That is what I call dedication to quality and top-notch service.

  • It had been 15 years or more since some of the house had been painted, and probably 20 or more in some of the other areas. They were very prompt. Did a good job. 100% improvement. Just good work, and the guys she has working for them are very nice and polite. I have a health problem - found out I have a brain tumbor, so I have a balance problem. They removed things for me that I cannot reach and my husband cannot get to. They went above and beyond.
