Asphalt Paving reviews in Loveland

    Hartz Sealcoating
They showed up when they said they would and one of the guys came to the door to tell us what was going to happen, how long it would take and what we needed to do when they were finished. They were done in less than an hour (our driveway is 100 yards). I was initially worried about splatter on my flower bed rocks/side walk but not one drop. They were very professional, neat and it looks great! Highly recommend and will use again in the future. We could of not done this for the price with all the tools and equipment needed.

We asked for a quote in late summer of 2015 but due to the great reviews, they had a wait list.  They called us early this spring to let us know they would still honor their price from 2015 and would be out in a few days. The prep guys were great and removed all our gravel drive, leveled & measured it out to make it even and the next day the crew showed up to pave.  They did an excellent job, were very efficient (I even noticed them having a team meeting before they began to pour the asphalt to confirm who was doing what).  They evened it out to make sure water wasn't going to sit against the garage and it looks great!  Highly recommended. These guys know what their doing.  Thanks!

    Joe Wheeler Blacktop Sealing
We paid a little extra to have them do a few more cracks.  The guys were on time and worked quickly.  The coating was very thick and took a few extra days to cure before we started driving on it.

    Joe Wheeler Blacktop Sealing
Sealed all the cracks, added extra sand on an incline, and seal coated my driveway. They were very careful around the edges of the drive and my new landscaping. After an initial screwup with an email or two (totally not their fault) they got back to me right away and scheduled the work. They showed up on the appointed day and completed the work in a timely fashion.

    Premium Sealcoat LLC
I have modified my review to reflect the redo on my driveway. After the first installation of sealer a thunderstorm hit right afterward. I had warned the installers the storm was coming. The rain splashed tar all over my garage doors and washed out portions of the sealer. I called Premium to get them to fix and after two weeks of no show / response, I painted the garage door myself, put some crack sealer in some of the washed out spots and did my (fairly negative) review.

After the review was published they called to say they meant to come out to repair but had been busy. Maybe. In any case, we did schedule a return and they did put down a second coat. Weather this time was perfect for sealing.

I would say if I was to use them again in the future, I would be very insistent on the weather being sunny for a day after the sealing.Even if they felt it was OK to do it, I would use my own judgement and cancel the appt if it looked like rain. If weather is good then they are fine and put down a nice seal job for a reasonable fee.

I would probably forego any additional charges for "patching" and "high end" crack sealer they offer. The cartridge crack filler I used from Lowes does a better job than the liquid they use, in my opinion.

    Sure-Seal Co
I would not recommend Sure-Seal to anyone; not a friend, acquaintance, or as a referral.  This is not a company to to trust their word or quality of work.  I would recommend anyone having work done by Vic be present during the job and take photos, as I did, of all areas of scheduled.
Vic connected a drain to my existing drain.  He cut out the support for the existing drain cover.  The installed drain is pinched closed by the packing he installed and he failed to replace the support for the drain cover; therefore cover falls into the drain hole, which besides being unsightly and poor quality, could create injury. Any crack over 1/4 inch were supposed to be filled; such was not the case.  There are several areas were sealant was applied has already washed or flaked away.
Vic provided a resolution that was similar to other estimated and he provided a competitive estimate. Additionally, he seemed very personable. It was agreed the driveway did not need a resurfacing at this time, that sealing and coating would be all that's necessary. The initial work was performed while I was out of town.  I was not satisfied with several areas and advised Vic of same. When he returned to complete the job, he was paid in full.  I was home long enough for him to receive payment but I was not home when the work was performed. When I returned I again had questions about the work and called Vic, to which Vic stated, "I don't have time to keep coming out there." I asked him if it was his house would he be satisfied with the work performed?  Vic returned a third time to perform the uncompleted work.  To date, my job has not been completed to a satisfactory level.  I have had two other companies provide estimates on the job, without informing them of the previous work performed by Vic.  Both noted issues with the installed drain, sealant, and coating.  In early August I sent Vic an email asking if the work was complete, to which he has yet to reply.
I tried to be accommodating with Vic by paying in full even though he work was not completed to satisfaction.  He performed work while I was gone, because he combined my job with other jobs in the area; which seemed efficient for him.  However, not being here when the work was performed was obviously an error.
What I paid for was quality work for the agreed upon price and to be completed in a professional manner; neither occurred on this job.  At this point additional action is required to satisfy the agreement Vic was paid.

    Premium Sealcoat LLC
First of all we are blown away to look on Angies List and find that Premium Sealcoat has an A rating. Except for some of the guys on the many crews that have come to our house over the past year, we would have to give an F rating on all levels.

In the summer of 2013, we asked Premium Sealcoat to seal our driveway and also to patch an area of the driveway. They came and sealed the driveway, but said that they would need more money for the patch as they had to use more patching material. On at least two occasions we gave them more money. The patch looked so bad that they came and put even more material on it.

We waited and waited, too politely, for the final patch. They did not come until the fall. They said they would come back and put seal on the patch and didn't. When I called they said it was too late in the season to put seal on it.

Of course over the many months of winter and spring, leaves and other debris became stuck in the unsealed patch. Now so many and quot;patchesand quot; have been put on, that it is a lumpy mess, with dead leaves stuck in it and it looks terrible.

Cracks in the pavement have reopened and look worse than before. Pieces of seal come off regularly, sometimes an inch or more in diameter. Flakes of seal could be seen all winter long in the shoveled snow. The snow we shoveled off the driveway was always speckled with black.

In 2014 a representative of Sealcoat came to our house and agreed that the seal and the patch did not look good and said that it needed to be redone.

Despite the fact that we started this process in the summer of 2013, they did not make it to reseal the driveway and fix the patch until August 5, 2014. Ironically, during this long time of waiting, we watched as many of our neighbors had their driveways done by the company! We should have been top priority as the job at our house was a necessary redo by the company's own admission.

Sealcoat did attempt to come this summer and there was standing water on the driveway and they could not seal. Another time they cancelled because of rain. It was not until August 5, 2014, that they actually made it to our house again, a year having passed since we began the whole process. Before they came we weeded and swept the driveway and cleaned the area where the drain in the driveway is.

There is a low area in our driveway where water stands above a drain. The drain is not completely open and never has been since we have lived here. The covering of the drain cannot be removed unless jack hammered as previous owners of the home must have asphalted it to the driveway.

When they came on August 5 they said they now could not seal because there was mud on the driveway by the drain. This is not mud of any depth, but dust in the cracks and uneven surface of the driveway. They said we should have pressure washed the area, though we have never been asked to pressure wash even before they came the first time a year ago.

The crew that came on August 5 also admitted that the patch needed to be redone and that the driveway needed to be sealed. It was apparent our job had not been and quot;red flaggedand quot; or otherwise noted as special, etc. I don't think they were expecting to repair the patch as was promised and obviously was one of the major reasons the appointment was scheduled.

My husband at one point over the long summer of waiting, had offered to pressure wash, but I had discouraged him because I was afraid that even more seal would come off than is already flaking and peeling off on a daily basis. I was also afraid that Premium Sealcoat would say that we had damaged their work, rather than it being faulty to begin with.

The crew on August 5 said that they could pressure wash the mud off, it but then they would have the problem of the water standing on the drain. Though admittedly there is a problem with the drain, I can't believe that it is such an insurmountable problem. Not for a company that has sealed hundreds of driveways. Not for a company that has a whole bunch of our money.

There also is the problem with the patch. A crew member on August 5 said that the patch would have to be jack hammered out and said that they did not have that kind of equipment on the truck. He called the office and the person who he spoke with said that they could not fix it as they do not have a license from OSHA or the equipment to perform such a repair.

They offered to seal part of the driveway, I assume going around the lumpy patch, and not going around the drain area. I said no thank you. I want what we have paid for, a sealed driveway, the whole thing, and a patch on the part of the driveway that needed to be repaired.

If Premium could not handle our driveway to begin with, if this was beyond their area of expertise, they should have said so. The fact remains that they have our money and we don't have a product of any quality to show for it. Sealcoat did attempt it and must now accept the consequences. By their own admission, the crew that was here on August 5, and the representative that came out earlier this year, the job needs to be redone! We want our money back or the job done right.

    Hartz Sealcoating
The six-person crew worked diligently to clean the driveway in its entirety, and side-trenched a small portion to improve drainage.  The bid estimated about a dozen cracks to fill, but Hartz ended up filling more than three times that many as a result of the recent severe winter.  Care was taken to insure full and complete coverage, and not to slop any crack-filler or sealcoating onto four abutting concrete pavement areas.  All hair-line cracks and surface irregularities are covered uniformly, with no skips or bubbles.  Communications throughout the process of inspection, bidding, scheduling, and execution were excellent, and the three shared owners were able to co-operate with Hartz to get an excellent job.

    All Pro Sealcoating
Without question, this was the best seal coating job that I have paid for over the years.   i have used several companies in the past that I thought were good but All Pro's effort were a definite cut above their  work.  All Pro, for example, not only  filled all cracks - including a really  tough one worsening  from a tree recently cut down, but also took the time to explain any special work they did. They were very careful in putting the coat down and there was no sloppy splashes on our grass.  The blacktop really looks terrific.  and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

    All Pro Sealcoating
Everything went great, and the portion of the driveway they repaired looks good. He contacted me right away, gave me an estimate and was able to complete the work the following week. We need to get the driveway sealed as well, and he provided an estimate.
