Very pleased with the process and results. Jose and his team went beyond expectations, arranged carpenter service, paid attention to all details and worked fast with no disruptions. There are many plants around the house, and we were worried about damage, but to our surprise they have been well looked after! Especially impressive was the extra step taken to prepare the deck. Jose hired at his own expense a professional with orbital sander to completely strip down the old paint to ensure the job is done right.

I would not refer Joe for any composite deck work. While he did claim to have worked with composite materials before, it became apparent early on that this was not the case. Joe and his partner used fascia screws in solid deck boards resulting in over $300 of wasted materials. Additionally, the cuts were poor and not square. He did not keep a clean workspace and left screws all around my deck and lawn. I had to let Joe go before completion of the project. While he did cover a portion of the materials damaged, hiring Joe will set my deck project back months.

Best experience I have had with a contractor. From the start, communication was great. Would text me every day to let me know when he would be there. I had some issues with the original structure and he explained everything about what he would repair and why. Attention to detail and the quality of work was outstanding. Always left the jobsite clean. I already have other projects we will have him do in the future.

    Neal's Design Remodel
My husband and I recently completed a six month whole house renovation using Neal's Design Remodel. I can't say enough good things about them. I was looking for a company that could handle a complete house remodel from start to finish. I read many online reviews for Neal's and was pleasantly surprised to find that some of the people had used them for more than one project. The nice thing about Neal's is that you only deal with three main people throughout your whole project. Our first contact was with Frank Kuhlmeier, he was our Project consultant. Frank was very professional, gave us a complete description of the services Neal's offers and described how they handle a project from start to finish. We were also very pleased to find out they offer a full two year warranty on their work. Frank handled working up the design details and the quote for the cost of the project. Once we signed on with Neal's they even provided an architect and engineer to work out some issues during the planning stage of the project. After the project began we were introduced to our Lead Designer Connie Hampton. She came to our house to look things over and get an idea of kind of look we were going for. My husband and I are not designers, so it was great that Neal's provides a designer to help you accomplish the look you had in mind. They even have their own design studio with all the tile and flooring samples you need in one place. Connie was great at showing us all of our options and helping us make our decisions, always keeping our budget in mind. The last person assigned to us was Drew Schroeder. Drew was our Project Manager. He did a fantastic job handling the day to day operations of the renovation. He provided weekly schedules of who would be working on the house and what was being worked on. He handled the scheduling of all the different trades people that worked on the project. He was also the person that answered all of my questions or concerns as the project moved along. Drew was somewhat of a perfectionist as am I, so he really paid attention to the details in the finishing work, which I greatly appreciated. Frank and Drew were also very accommodating to our ever changing list of additions to the project. Frank and Drew never avoided a phone call or text and always replied in a timely manner. In the end we ended up with a beautiful renovation. The quality of materials and workmanship is fantastic. Everyone who worked on our project did an excellent job. They pay very close attention to the details. Overall Neal's was great to work with and provided an excellent result. This is the only project we have done over the years where the result exceeded our expectations. Neals is definitely worth the investment, we would highly recommend them.

    PJ'S Painting & Decorating
I met Patty and her team in 2002. She painted the inside of my home and my outside trim and shutters. I have move since then, and she recently painted the entire inside of the home I coulght and did outside painting too. She has a reliable and focused team. They are on time, keep things neat and clean, and if an occasional light spot noted, they happily touch up if you point out. They are good at trim paining and ceilings too. Ive also had Pattys team paint furniture and paint kitchen cabinets. Painters pricing can vary. She is not the cheapest and not the most expensive, but you get food quality work done for the price you pay. I would not go with someone cheaper, because they are likely to not be as professional, cut corners or use less quality products. The better paints are made to roll better on your walls. Now that I know the difference between box store paints and paints such as Sherwin Williams or a few other good companies, I would never use box store paint again. Go with Patty. Shes knowledgeable and has a good ey for colors and coordinating. Trust her eye, my home now looks like a homearama home inside and out.

My 84-year old mother-in-law didn't like the original contractor we, as the homeowner, had selected, so she tried to find one on her own. She selected Chris because he was charming with her and she felt she could "relate" to him. After giving him a deposit to start work on the project, he basically disappeared for over 10 days and didn't return any phone calls or emails. So we decided to do some research on him, and found very scathing,, about others' experiences with him. I wish we had researched him more in depth before my mother-in-law gave him money. Others have stated he has a history of coming up with a story to explain his absences and lack of response to calls and emails, and for not completing a job as promised. When he did perform a job, a lot of others stated there was poor quality and additional costs. He also seems to me that he changes addresses and moves his company around. His current address (with the same phone number) is now listed in Lebanon, not Harrison. With this information, and due to his lack of response to our calls, we decided to terminate the agreement, especially since we as the homeowners never agreed nor signed anything with him - it was just with my mother-in-law. He soon after responded with a story about how he had been called away on an emergency in Florida and someone else in his company was supposed to handle things but didn't. He promised to return my mother-in-law's deposit to her since no work had been performed, not even applying for permit (which he outright lied about having done). To date, the money has not been returned. The other reviews on him and his company are pretty accurate...I would not recommend hiring him. I cannot personally vouch for the quality of his work since he didn't do anything. But ethically, he gets an F in my book. I believe he has no business even being listed on Angie's List.

The project went smoothly - on time and on budget. Could not be happier with the deck! My husband is particularly satisfied with the shed which is large enough for our riding lawn mower and is wired with electric!

    Decks N More Inc
The onsite crew was fantastic. They came early, worked very hard, and took minimal breaks for lunch and rest. They kept the job site very clean, and made it safe as possible for my kids. They were very willing to show and explain to me what they were doing, and took GREAT LENGTHS to do everything to PERFECTION! I was very impressed!

It went well. There was a rain postponement and then a traffic delay another day. They called each time before the appointment time to let us know. The deck was sanded, power washed, then re sanded to remove the old stain that had lifted. Three boards were rotten and they replaced them. I would definitely use this company again.

My first concern is that they didn't contact me after I selected 3 dates that I wanted to have the work done. I had to call them, and the owner answered the phone. He told me that they would have called me when they were ready. I told him they should have contacted me to be up front about their time frame. The offer broke down to $1.13 per sq foot. They wanted to charge me $6 per sq. foot for the additional. This was discussed the day the work was supposed to start. James was due to arrive at 9AM, and didn't arrive until 9:40, due to traffic, he said when he arrived. They came down to $3, but that is quite a build up from the initial offer. They should be disclosing the extra cost in their deal offer. I would not use them, because I just don't trust the owner and how he handled the call. He was abrasive and unfriendly.
