    Brothers Roofing and Construction
I hired Brothers Roofing and Construction to fix several problems with my roof area which includes and is not limited to replacing a flat roof, replacing rotten eves and trim and replacing box gutters - when I met with Bill Schmidt I specifically pointed out a problem area of our roof/box gutter/eves, where water had been flowing over the gutter to the pavers below as such eroding the bricks and joint material - I explained to Mr. Schmidt I bought the house knowing extensive repairs were needed and I decided to proceed with repairs as the water flowing over the gutter was damaging my new brick sidewalk below as well as causing foundation issues - materials were delivered in October/November 2018 - work did not begin until the end of March 2019, I was sympathetic to weather conditions which delayed the start date on my roof - at some point during the job someone spilled TOXIC adhesive on an area of my sidewalk which was not cleaned/removed - my retired working dog Rexo (9 years in Afghanistan working as a PED, PATROL EXPLOSIVES DETECTION) licked and/or ate the toxic adhesive and nearly died - he was in acute liver failure and we had no idea why as the spilled adhesive was not brought to our attention - we incurred over $2,000 in vet bills to save Rexos life - I explained all of this to Mr. Schmidt, he did not assume responsibility for this on behalf of his workers and did not reimburse me for Rexos vet bills - several days after the job was completed my husband noticed the problem area of our roof was still a problem - water was still gushing over the gutter - Mr. Schmidt met with us and said that area needs a downspout - I asked why a downspout wasnt installed, he said, it didnt occur to me???????? - He said he would send his best roof guy to see what could be done to fix this issue and asked for the remainder of the bill - reluctantly I gave him a check, I havent heard from him since -

    LeafFilter Gutter Protection
Installation was in October. Installer was rude, and they were in a hurry. We realized in the spring that there was an overflowing buildup of maple tree debris in some of the gutters. Al, the man who came, checked and found multiple problems with the installation (not attached properly and at the wrong angle). He cleaned out the backed up gutters and said they would send someone out to correct the problems, but as far as we know, no one has come. Within a few days, the gutter was backed up again. The price of the product was supposed to include clean-up, but ever since it was installed we have kept finding many long attachment nails that were removed from the original gutter installation and dropped in our yard and flower beds. Even if they send someone to clean our gutters by hand every time they get full, that is not what our warranty is supposed to be about. This product is not performing as promised. We'd be interested in a follow-up review a year later by people who gave it a good rating right after installation, to see how the system is performing. It was windy the day that Al cleaned out our gutters and the next. I took this photo the day after that.

Salesman was not pushy and gave good information. Office contact was extremely nice. Was pleased with the results. Have gotten lots of comments on how nice our house looks. The men did a great job cleaning when job was finished. Would certainly use again and recommend.

Came and looked at shed and was to meet with insurance adjuster for estimate. No response to follow up phone calls and never returned for adjuster meeting. If the job was beyond his capabilities, or if he didn't want to do the work, he could have had the courtesy to say so. I found another contractor. To leave me hanging was non-professional and non-reliable. Would not contact for work again.

    AIS Renovations Ltd
We are hard folks to please but we were indeed pleased in the end. Along the way we ran into some unforeseen issues such as rotten wood under the siding of our three seasons room, a 5 foot tall bees nest that needed to be removed and fiber board replaced, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Parks came out each day to assess the progress and we would do a walk through to see if we were on the same page. If there was something I didn't like, parks tended to agree and they would make the change. If you are like me, I recommend you are clear on your asks and assess every so often. It's important to remember that I can ask for someone to build me a green box and 25 builders will build you a box of all different sizes and 25 different shades of green. I learned a long time ago, if you want a 5x5 box with Sherman paint code 43562, 2 feet tall, made of hickory, that needs explained. The job can only as good as the decription. If you make your wants these, these guys will delivery.

    Arrow Roofing & Siding
I called Arrow & explained the problem. They sent out a supervisor to assess the problem & explain the solution. Within a few weeks, (weather permitting) they corrected the problem by replacing all damaged shingles which had been cut

    C&A Seamless Gutters
Initially I really liked this company they were responsive and sent someone out to inspect and give me an estimate quickly. I scheduled an appointment. The day of the appt, I called in at 10a, because I had been told they would be there at 9am. The person I spoke to assured me that they would be there by noon. He said he wasn't sure where the time of 9am had come from. Hour after hour passed. So at 6:30pm 2 guys in an unmarked box truck show up at my house. He said there was an emergency earlier. There's no good way to say this, the guy looked strung out. He had a pack of Newports hanging out of his shirt, and just generally did not look like the kind of person you want near your home, let alone on top of or inside it. I told them absolutely not. The original guy who gave me the estimate called to apologize. He said, "I don't know what happened, I guess they were just working slow today." He offered to take $150 off my estimate, but honestly, I wouldn't let them do work on my house for free now.

    Newman Roofing
ALEX FROM TIM NEWMAN ROOFING CAME OUT FOR THE INITIAL APPOINTMENT ON TIME.   HE WALKED THE ROOF AND TOOK ACTUAL MEASUREMENTS, PICTURES, AND NOTED ITEMS THAT ALSO NEEDED REPLACED OR REPAIRED.   OUR HOUSE IS 40 YEARS OLD AND NEEDED ROTTED PLYWOOD, SKYLIGHT, SHINGLES, GUTTERS, AND FACIA BOARD
REPLACED.   ALEX AND HIS CREW SHOWED UP EARLY FOR THE FIRST DAY OF WORK.
ALEX AND NEWMAN ROOFING PROVIDED A COMPETITIVE QUOTE.  ALEX'S EXPERTISE IN ROOFING WAS APPLIED TO
MY ROOFING PROJECT.  HE MADE SURE THAT ICE GUARD WAS TO BE USED IN A DOUBLE WIDTH WHERE NEEDED.
HE MADE SUGGESTIONS THAT REDUCED THE COST OF THE REROOFING PROJECT SO THAT WE COULD ALSO HAVE
OUR STORAGE SHED REROOFED, AND THE BOATHOUSE GUTTERS AND SMALL REPAIRS DONE.
THE CREW WORKED RAPIDLY WITH GREAT SKILL.  THEY CLEANED UP EVERY DAY BEFORE THEY LEFT.  THE WHOLE PROJECT TOOK 2 DAYS .
MY HOUSE ROOF LOOKS GREAT!    I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE WORK THAT NEWMAN ROOFING DID ON OUR LAKE
    HOME.

It went great Mr Mullins was very professional and pointed out several areas where the water may be working its way in. He told me he would drop off an estimate to have someone come out and hopefully finally get rid of this persistent leak.

    BROWN ROOFING
Steve came and gave us an estimate, and we were impressed with the care he took to explain everything. He is prompt and responds to calls diligently. He obviously takes great pride in the work he does, and he oversees every step to be sure all work is up to his high standard. He does extra things as needed, and he didn't charge extra. He also gave us information about needed chimney repair and recommended a chimney person (who, unfortunately, will not travel this far). Our roof had never had a tar paper base, and it was in terrible shape from improper repairs in the past. We now feel we have a roof that can withstand almost any kind of challenge and will be good for years to come.
