AWoodmasters of Greater ColumbusWoodmasters of Greater Columbus did a fine job of repairing my wooden bar stools. I highly recommend Woodmasters for honest, quality furniture repair. They charged a fair price, and they guarantee their work.- Tresa H.

AFibrenew North East ColumbusOutstanding service! From my initial inquiry to the finished project, Greg was punctual, professional, personable, and did fantastic work! My leather sofa had a blemish on the back panel as a result of a moving mishap, and Greg was able to repair it in a cost effective way. It looks perfect. He also cleaned and conditioned the leather sofa and matching loveseat. Both pieces now look almost brand new! I could not be happier!- Deborah B.

ANaiser Furniture RestorationsThey did a great job. I was ready to throw everything out but my wife insisted on restoration because the pieces had been in the family for a very long time. After I saw the pieces restored, I was happy I didn't get rid of them! Everything looks very nice and I am very pleased with the end results. If I knew someone who wanted to get something restored I would definitely recommend Naiser Furniture Restorations. They are pricey, but did an excellent job. The quality was fantastic and he responded to any questions or concerns I had. He had my furniture back in a reasonable time period and very professional.- Beth F.

ACapital Flooring, Interiors and CarpentryWe had been on the schedule with a contractor from Home Depot, but they cancelled and were not able to reschedule for weeks (we had already waited a few weeks since our purchase for material to arrive). We were in the process of moving into a new home and were waiting for this job to be completed. When we called Tom of Capital Flooring, it was 2 days before Thanksgiving. He came out that night and assessed the situation, pointed out that their must have been a mis-measure with the previous contractor as the amount of flooring we had was not sufficient to complete the space. He had some other jobs in progress, but was not working on them on Thanksgiving or the weekend that followed, so made himself available and took on our project. He completed everything with the flooring we had and then promptly returned to finish the rest once we had received the necessary materials. He selected and purchased some necessary trim parts that we did not have. He also agreed to assemble some new dining furniture for us that had arrived during the flooring process (I was quite thankful for this, having been totally exhausted of all the "kit assemblies" that coincided with preparing the new home). Additionally, we had had someone else install some carpeting a week prior and then one of the bedroom doors would not shut...Tom cut the door appropriately so that it was no longer in conflict with the carpet, re-hinged it and all was well. We were very thankful to Tom for his promptness in meeting with us, his ability and willingness to take on our job over a holiday on short notice (one of the days he was working, his mother came by to have lunch with him--we were not at the house, I was just stopping by and met her. we thought this relationship was nice to see, but felt some guilt that he was working on a weekend that most people were not), and his straightforward and thorough approach. The quality of his work was outstanding and we would absolutely hire him for future projects and will refer him to everyone! He was outstanding! Thank you Tom!- Natasha S.

CA La Carte Upholstering - Harris House IncTHE SHOP WAS HARD TO FIND, BUT MR. HARRIS GAVE CAREFUL DIRECTIONS. I THOUGHT THE PRICE WAS OUTRAGEOUS BUT I HAD BEEN LOOKING FOR A REPLACEMENT CHAIR FOR THREE YEARS AND DIDN'T HAVE A CHOICE. HIS UPHOLSTERY WORK WAS VERY WELL DONE, BUT THE RESTORATION OF THE WOOD WAS POOR AND THE MENDING OF THE BACK WAS NOT DONE.- NONA V.

DWe had been having problems with our SubZero refrigerator not staying cold but freezing ice on the back wall for a while. Believing it was more than likely the seal around the door leaking warm air in and cold air out, because it had been a while since the door closed with a vacuum-like seal we decided to contact Ohio Furnace A&E after researching who was known for handling SubZero specifically. When we called, we expressed that we believed it to be the seal. The repairman came and diagnosed it as being the thermostat. This was fine and we thought the issue was a simple fix. After a week, the problem was back. We were having the same issues and called them back. They came back with the same part to replace the Thermostat. At this point, we pointed out again, that we believed it was the seal. Seemingly ignoring that it could be anything other than the thermostat. The thermostat replaced a second time, it still doesn't work properly, still the same issues. I called the company again, left a message for them to call me back. I did this every few days for almost 2 1/2 weeks with no callback. The final time I called, I did so with my number blocked, they pick up, audibly upset, I let them know that it still wasn't working and mentioned the seal again. Also that I left several messages waiting for a callback. He sends his guy out again. This time the guy comes in for a couple of minutes, goes outside to make a call to SubZero, comes back in only to tell us it wasn't the thermostat and Subzero told him it was more than likely the SEALED SYSTEM. Ohio Furnace A&E does not fix sealed systems. That was over 2 weeks ago. Since then, I have left several more messages. Today, he finally answers. I expressed that I felt with the misdiagnosis, I should receive a refund. I was informed that he was refusing a refund. I was told that it normally turns out to be the thermostat and it not their fault that it wasn't. I said, " So, you're telling me it's a guessing game, and as the customer, I'm left paying a bill for something that was misdiagnosed?" He then proceeded to tell me that they didn't charge me extra for the second part ordered or the last 2 trips. We had a 30-day warranty. Assumably, he thinks I should be grateful that we weren't charged more for the second replacement part and service, 2 extra trips they made while they misdiagnosed twice, even though we mentioned several times that we believed it was the seal. Very disappointed.

A***IMPORTANT*** When you invest thousands of dollars in a piano, I highly recommend any consumer do their homework. It took me 8 months to find the right company and my research paid off. The following review reflects my efforts in locating Lindeblad Piano and total satisfaction since then.
It was critically important that I find a business that:
- Has been in business for a long time and Better Business Bureau approved. A family-owned business for 80+ years with a BBB rating of A+ told me they had experience and gave me peace of mind. This increased my comfort level in dealing with a business more than 200 miles from my home.
- Stands behind ALL their work - While warranties can vary cases by case (usually 10 years) I received a 20 year warranty on all workmanship and parts, which was better than I expected. They also met a competitors' 10-year warranty on the soundboard. FYI Steinway only gives you 5 years on a new piano.
- Restores Steinways - I plan on keeping this piano for decades and I wanted to make sure they knew what they were doing with such a high-end instrument. Of the 120+ pianos restored last year, more 75% were Steinways.
- Could answer tough questions. During my 8 months of investigating piano retailers and restorers, I spent a half day at a Steinway dealer in Boston to hear their argument of why I should not buy a restored piano. I did expect a hard sell for a new piano but some of their points and literature were compelling. Aside from using the Steinway parts, they said that setting the bridge height is the most difficult and requires the elite expertise of a Steinway restoration technician. When I asked if I had a Steinway that I wanted restored, they said only the Steinway factory was qualified to restore a Steinway. Lindeblad patiently answered ALL my questions. Additionally, the Lindeblad business is in its 4th generation with the original founder a former builder at the NY Steinway factory. He passed down this craftsmanship (including authentic Steinway parts and the proper bridge technique) to his family.
- Pleasant to work with and accessible. To be frank, I wanted a company that appreciated my business. This means that if I had a problem, I could get a hold of someone and have my problem resolved quickly. Ultimately, I found that Lindeblad met and exceeded expectations. The end-to-end process at Lindeblad is a model that all businesses should aspire to - from the sale, planning, restoration process, to the photos of the finished product and delivery, they wanted to make sure I was completely happy - not just satisfied - with everything. Each member of the family had their own skills and it was a pleasure to work with each of them.
