    Attic Experts Insulation
Very well! "JB" is a real professional with an engineering background and the trade-craft training to make a very knowledgeable insulation assessment of my house. After inspecting several areas of my attic, he said that I actually had a very sufficient amount of insulation. Since I purchased the house three years ago, I did not really know how adequate my insulation was. He indicated that at this time for me to pay for additional insulation would be a waste of my money. The previous owner must have already added insulation. It is very refreshing when you come across a company and employees that have real integrity. I will not hesitate in recommending "Attic Experts Insulation" to others. I will let my extended family know about this company... that's for sure!

    Healthy Basement Concepts,LLC
After 15+ years of dealing with the huge temperature variations throughout my house I finally decided to look at insulating/encapsulating our crawl space. I had 3 different companies come out to look at my situation. Healthy Basement Concepts was not only less expensive overall, but explained why I did not need the drain tile the other guys said "was all part of the package" or "as long as were down there it couldn't hurt" (other than the $2k+ it added to the cost). Healthy Basement Concepts ended up approx. 30% cheaper than my other two estimates. Jason (owner) told me that they would be here at 8:00am on a Monday to get started and it would take them 2-2.5 days to complete. They were in the driveway at 7:58am Monday to get started and were finished in 1.5 days. Exceeding my expectations based on dealing with contractors in the past. Jason and his crew were friendly and professional and left the house cleaner than they found it. The end results have made a HUGE difference in my home. Prior to having the work done I used a thermometer to take temperature readings throughout my house for a couple days and did the same after, the results speak for themselves: Prior to Encapsulating: Thermostat set to 71*: 1st Floor (on coffee table) - 71*, 1st Floor (on floor) - 66*, Master Bedroom - 79*, Spare Bedroom - 77* After Encapsulating: Thermostat set to 71*: 1st Floor (on coffee table) - 71*, 1st Floor (on floor) - 70*, Master Bedroom - 72*, Spare Bedroom - 72* The difference has been so drastic that the first evening the project was done I went and checked to make sure I didn't blow a breaker because it was 22* outside and the heat was not running. It was 71* in the house but I simply was not use to the heat not running constantly when the outside temp was below freezing. I could not be happier with the end result and the overall experience working with Healthy Basement Concepts.

Bone Dry Roofing & Masonry - Cincinnati
Bone Dry is an outstanding roofing company! They did an excellent job of replacing our 20 year old roof, adding attic insulation, and replacing the gutters. We are very pleased with their work and the new roof and gutters look fantastic! They were very easy to deal with from start to finish. We had them inspect our roof for the last few years and they once did a small repair. They documented the roofs condition with pictures and videos. That positive experience and great reviews led us to choose them for this job. Our primary contact in the planning was John. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and quickly gained our trust. He clearly explained the process and answered all our questions in the meetings. He was amazingly responsive and helpful as I continued to ask questions leading up to job day. Brenda in the office supplied a list of addresses to help us select our shingles color. On job day a text chain was set up to facilitate communication. Pictures and descriptions were added showing the progress of the work. Any question I had was quickly answered. James did a great job as supervisor. He was a pleasure to work with and always gave his best effort. He was an excellent communicator and always kept us informed. He was a calm and steady presence as we worked through scheduling questions. He was a major contributor to the success of the project. The work went very well and the cleanup was extremely thorough. The workmanship and warranty are both clearly top notch. The roof is guaranteed for 50 years! Bone Dry will check it every 5 years and fix anything that is wrong. After the job was complete, both Scott (Scheduler) and Steve (Manager) checked in with me to ensure I was satisfied. I would not hesitate to recommend Bone Dry to anyone based on their professionalism and quality of work!

    Pete's Professional Insulation
I originally contacted Petes to provide batt insulation on the exterior walls of a basement remodel. Pete recommended I consider insulating all the walls and ceiling as well in order to suppress noise between levels of the house. I ultimately agreed and am thoroughly impressed with the results. The care that his team took to completely cover the ceiling was really great. Josh worked hard to get R30 batts above HVAC ducts and around wiring, braces, etc. The job took longer than expected but only because they were committed to doing a quality job.

    Dr. Energy Saver Cincinnati
We are so glad we found Dr. Energy Saver and couldnt be happier with the improvements they made to our home. We first had Chris out for an energy audit which was extremely helpful and informative. He knows his stuff. We had several rooms in our home with very uneven heating and cooling. We proceeded with work based on his findings and recommendations. All I can say is from the first night after the work was completed I found myself saying Wow I cant believe the difference! Our hot and cold spots are gone, the house feels so much more comfortable, and our furnace runs less. Best investment weve made in our house in quite a while. I will certainly be calling Dr Energy Saver for any future work and highly recommended them. You will not be disappointed.

    AIT American Insulation Technologies
I contacted this company per Home Advisor reviews. A sales person came out named Chris. He oversold what they could accomplish, he did not understand the results per the style of my house,. After the installation - i immediately called as there was no improvement. He told me to put a towel under the door to block out the noise, and realized they used a different product then what they had used in the past for the sound batting between my basement and master bedroom. They sent out some guys to add additional sound batting. It did not improve the noise issue. I called Chris back and his number was disconnected. I called the company and spoke with Cassandra who promised they would send out someone. After 6 weeks of calling her and not getting anyone out to my house. I requested a credit from my credit card company - which the company contested. I then found out that the reviews i read were under a different owner who sold to a minority contractor so they could do commercial work. So i feel i was mislead by the reviews. After the requested charge back i received a phone call from the previous owner requesting to come out. By this time I was over the entire thing and just wanted my money back. Never heard back from Mark (previous owner). Called him and he said i needed to contact new owner. I called and they wanted to send someone out - i am not interested in this as they are who did the poor job to begin with and they did not respond to getting it resolved for over 6 weeks. He told me write whatever review I wanted - he didn't care. So here i am. requesting my money back again with my credit card company, writing reviews and contacting the Attorney general for the state of Ohio. I am tired of getting poor customer service and paying a lot of money for something that does not work correctly.

    Attic Experts Insulation
I went exceptionally well. First, I thought I had already posted this review, but will repeat here. All aspects of this transaction were pleasant.. from meeting the first rep at a local Homearama, to calling back a couple years later when I was ready to act. The sit-down with the sales rep in my home was extremely easy and pleasant. Pricing was provided, promises were made about the installation and crew... and ALL went perfectly according to the expectations that were generated. The job went the way we would wish every service purchase would go. Not a single complaint. AND.. the after effect of a newly insulated crawl space has shown its worth. Monthly energy bills had routinely crossed the $300 threshold in the depths of winter and summer... but no more. The product sold itself, but the service made it enjoyable.

    Attic Experts Insulation
It went as perfectly as it could go. The sit-down, the discussion, the sale, the appointment, the installation... and, most importantly, the results. All perfect. I'd be completely surprised if anything non-positive has ever been reported for Attic Experts. Personally, I've dealt with plumbers, cable installers, electricians, concrete, landscapers...on and on... and while none has ever graded poor in my book, none has ever graded higher than this. This experience was how it's supposed to be, so much so, that even though almost four months have passed, I still wanted to make this entry with Angie's List.

    Mooney & Moses of Ohio
Synopsis - Mooney and Moses (Overhead Door) charged to install 13"  of blown in fiberglass insulation. M&M only installed 8" (40% less) but still charged for 13". M&M will not return phone calls and the salesperson was combative when challenged on their cheat. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
    Full in-depth issue below:
Contacted Mooney and Moses (subsidary of Overhead Door) to quote installation of additional insulation to bring us to an R49 or R60. House was built in 1996 and has 12.5" of insulation for an existing R30 ( I found the paperwork stapled into the attic after I inspected M&M insulation install)
M&M sent a salesperson to quote the install in August. She quoted some odd things, such as PSK paper having an R10 value, so we spent a few weeks going back and forth trying to get a cut sheet from the salesperson Kimberly Quinn. We finally got a contact to verify the PSK R value in early September - by this time I had to travel out of town and we tried to reconnect with Kim in the end of September. Weeks go by and I finally call M&M and the original salesperson had quit. M&M wanted to send out another person to requote the install. We agreed and in the middle of October their Salesperson John Smith came out to quote the job. We explained to him our concerns. He figured the area to be ~1,000 and then he sent us a quote the next day. (John nor Kim never did inspect the attic which in hind sight was very odd)
I paid Mooney and Moses $100 down on an $760 installation for 13" of blown in fiberglass insulation plus $100 to extend baffles in attic. I was told I'd be contacted to schedule the install. I finally called over a week later and the less than friendly scheduler says they'll be there Thursday in the morning. I tell her no, I work and I need a Friday afternoon. She's says they are busy but schedules me for November 5th and says they will call on Thursday the 4th to confirm. November 4th comes around and no phone call. I call to verify and it's obvious they didn't have me on the schedule. They take my number and call me back later, saying they will be there in the morning on the next day. I tell them no, I need afternoon, and they finally come back to the phone and tell me they will be there between 12 noon and 5 pm. I ask if they will call before arrival and she says no. FIVE HOUR INSTALLATION WINDOW WITH OUT A PHONE CALL?
Anyway not always trusting contractors I made sure I photographed the attic prior to the install. Installers come on November 5th and are nice and courteous. They never did call but did arrive at 1pm. A week goes by and I got curious and decided to inspect the attic and low and behold they have only blown in ~6-8" of insulation BUT  I was still charged for 13" of insulation.
I call M&M to see how we will remedy this. Billing tells me I need to call the salesman. I call John Smith and he is immediately combative, telling me they have been in business for X amount of years and how did I know they didn't blow in 13". I told him I took photos and he immediately changed his tone and asked me to email him the photos, although I did not have a warm and fuzzy from out exchange. I didn't receive a follow up so I contacted M&M again. I left messages for two days for the OPs manager. And then when I would call I was told their OPs manager Beverly Fitzsimmons had just left for lunch, she'll call you right back. Then when I didn't get a return call, I was told 'oh she just left' when I called again.
I finally got ahold of a woman who claimed to be a general manager. She said they were busy and wouldn't have time to come out and verify what they actually installed. She was less than friendly and wanted to know how much money I wanted back. I told her I wanted to pay for what I received, nothing more, nothing less. I told her I think they blew in between 6 and 10" and that would mean I overpaid by ~$200. She said she would adjust my account. Essentially they didn't care that they overcharged, they just wanted me to go away. What about the person who didn't document or double check their install? How many other people have been overcharged?
Now 3 days later I have seen nothing on my AMEX and have heard nothing from Beverly Fitzsimmons or John Smith. I have since filed a dispute with AMEX and contacted the Better Business bureau. John Mattarese with WCPO is next.
In conclusion a shady company who cares only about swindling as many people as they can - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

    Attic Experts Insulation
I was impressed with every person I worked with at Attic Experts. From the first phone call to talk with Brian, the owner, to Sid, who took measurements and explained pricing and the process, to Joe and Scott, who actually performed the work, the entire procedure was smooth. Customer service was a high priority for this company. Every individual I worked with was very personable, and I felt comfortable with having them in my home.
The entire time took a little over 3 hours to complete. I had previously removed everything from the closet where the men would be working to save time. When the e-shield, Rafter Mates, and insulation were installed Joe and Scott cleaned up any mess they had made (which was minimal). Throughout the entire time the work was being completed, I was informed of what the men were doing. At the completion, I was invited to inspect their work. I would highly recommend The Attic Experts to anyone.
