Hazard Remediation reviews in Liberty Township

Things went very well. Jeff, office guy, was on top of it and was very helpful. Darrin (owner), came out and was able to verify visually it was asbestos. He was able to get a crew out within a couple of days and they were there for only 2 hours to get it done. I would recommend them because they seemed very trustworthy to me.

Received a quote but the manner in which it was presented lead us to believe that we were being mislead. Received three other quotes and no no other provider suggested that we may need two systems to mitigate, as we only tested at 4.5. Service done by other provider, tested at 0.7 after work completed.

Our insurance company recommended Puroclean to us after we called them about a mold problem caused by a malfunctioning sump pump in our finished basement.  They came out the same day to assess the situation and got to work on it within an hour of my insurance company giving me the green light to start on it.  They were very clean and removed all damaged drywall, plus came back every day to check on the progress and the equipment until the job was done.  I felt that they were very knowledgeable and was confident they would treat the problem appropriately.  We were very happy with the service.

I am very pleased. The technicians were both professional and nice. Their van had issues, so I received a courtesy call a half hour before appt time, letting me know approximate arrival time. The install went well and they reviewed what they had done before leaving. The post-install test shows radon levels dropped from 10.5 to 1.2! I appreciate the lifetime warranty.

First to set the context... I am living in South Carolina, and buying a house in Ohio.  Since I also have an Angie's subscription in Ohio, I used Angie's list to find the inspector supporting efforts to purchase this house.  Brian Kirchner (Guardian Inspections)  does the inspections and Christie, his wife, works the office.  After going to the web site for "Guardian Inspections" in Mason OH, I reviewed Brian's credentials.  I was convinced he had extensive construction and inspection experience, as well as, all the right certifications I wanted my inspector to have.  Before putting earnest money on this house, I travelled to Ohio to see if it generally met my needs.  I say this because, being an out-of-state buyer, I knew I had to have a great inspector who could give me any and all deficiency information available... to minimize the risks associated with buying from a distance.  After talking with he and his wife, I had the confidence I needed to proceed with Brian inspecting the house.  By the way, I have bought numerous houses in my lifetime, and I am a true believer in not "buying a pig in a poke".  You just have to get a quality inspection.  The inspection results uncovered a considerable number of deficiencies. The seller and I negotiated which ones I absolutely had to have them correct, and which ones, I would take on, given the price of the house and expected costs associated with needed seller paid-for repairs.  Just to mention a few examples.  Brian's photos of the roof, provided a compelling justification for immediate roof replacement.  The seller took this on at a cost of more than $9,000.  Mold was found in the basement.  The seller paid more than $4,000 to have testing, remediation of the problem, and post remediation testing... achieving a satisfactory grade, allowing the deal to go forward another step.  Brian inspected for termites, and found none.  Additionally, he tested for radon.  The results indicated a very high level of radon.  The sellers also paid for pre remediation radon testing, for proper radon elimination/remediation to ensure the levels were safe, and for post remediation testing  (remediation alone was $850 from the sellers).  By now you would probably agree that getting a quality inspection was worth it.  Brian not only explained the entire report to me, he invited me to call him later on with any additional questions.  Each time, I called Brian, he never acted "put-out"... always "at your service' attitude.  One more thing:  I was very appreciative that Brian acknowledged me as his "boss"/customer... not any realtor, etc.  That gave me extra confidence in his loyalty.  I would recommend Guardian Inspections/Brian Kirchner to anyone who is seeking the true condition of a house.  He and Christie are professional and friendly.  I'd use them again in a heartbeat!

The inspection went great. They arrived on time and took their time, they were there for several hours. They cover their shoes when they came in the house. There wasn't an inch of the house they didn't check. I was able to get there towards the end of the inspection and they went over everything with me and walked me around the inside and outside of the house to show me what they found. Answered all my questions. I was very happy with their work, professionalism, and that they stuck around to answer my questions and go over everything with me. Very pleased.

At Home Radon started mitigation on 2/3/2015 and they did an excellent job all around. The radon level after their first test did not meet with their expectation. They stayed at it until they were satisfied that the mitigation met their and our requirements.

Brian and Christie were a pleasure to work with!  Responsive, punctual and honest.  Brian was thorough and realistic about the repairs that should be done right away, those things to look out for, and what may need attention down the road.  He was very trustworthy and took the time to point out key things to us throughout the inspection.  He had the report to us by the end of the day, so we were able to promptly close out the inspection period of the purchase contract.  Additionally, Brian made himself available for questions - and was quick to return our calls.  We don't plan to make another move for a very long time, but for those who will... we highly recommend Brian and Guardian Inspections!

The home I was selling tested at an unacceptable level for radon gas. I contacted three different companies for estimates and the prices were all with 50.00 of each other. I chose AT HOME RADON because they were the only company that suggested going through the slab instead of the sump pump and because Dave (owner) put on "protective footwear" before entering my home.  I assumed that since he took that much caution when entering my home, they would also take pride in their work and leave their work area clean.  I was right. They did such a good job on the home I was selling that I requested that the seller of my new home also hire them. The title company issued a check payable to AT HOME RADON and they recently installed my new system. Both systems were installed by Brett and I could not be more pleased with either experience. I would recommend them to anyone considering a radon mitigation system.

They were very professional and did the job for 2/3 the price of the nearest quote. Workers arrived on time and did the job right. They were able to salvage out kitchen base cabinets saving us $750. I can recommend them 100%
