(This company is in Liberty Township, OH, however, the zip code causes automated systems to say, "Middletown") Dave is one of the best (if not the best) mechanics I have ever used. I am in my late 60's, so I have used many mechanics, and I know when their diagnostics make sense. I will not go into a lot of detail, but, the problem diagnoses precluded me having several types of catastrophic failures on distant travel. Dave keeps at it until he finds the problem. He is NOT a superficial mechanic. Aside from that, Dave doesn't wait for a question, he takes you step-by-step into the nature of the more complex problems, answers your questions, and always appreciates the need for excellent communications. The courteous nature of Dave, his co-workers, and his wife, Tracy (she's awesome), make the process a pleasant one. I go away wanting his shop to continue succeeding in car and customer care. The same amount of work at other auto-shops will cost you as much or more, and you won't go away with the confidence of knowing... "It doesn't get better than this!"

    Kings Toyota
It's a company car and I don't pay for it so I don't really pay attention to be honest to the cost. I really have no idea on the price. I'm not quite sure how to put this but from previous experience from a different dealership; Kings Toyota, they do follow the Toyota prescription for maintenance & I've had the experience of others adding a lot more things on that at the time we were unaware of. It varies depending on when you bring it in, but usually it doesn't take more than an hour to complete. Their waiting area was very nice. I'm not sure if they offer beverages or snacks because I usually do is drop it off at lunch and come back and pick it up. I've never actually talked to a mechanic but the sales reps have always been friendly and helpful.

    Mr. Godwrench Automotive
Our 2005 Chevy Cobalt had the power steering suddenly go out. After reading a variety of recalls on the car, we took it to Mr. Godwrench to have it inspected. He inspected it for free, which is a HUGE bonus because most retailers charge $100+ to look at the car before doing any work. I fully expected to pay something for his time, but he insisted on looking for free. He got it in the next day and after looking at it for a few hours, he determined it was likely very early signs of the engine going out, but determined the repair was too expensive when he wasn't absolutely certain. He suggested we take it home and see if anything else happens. Nothing else has happened, he never took any of our money, and our car has been running fine ever since. I wish we would have found Mr. Godwrench sooner; I would love to continue bringing our service to him. Incredibly polite, generous, and will not try to nickel-and-dime you.

    Kirsch's Automotive Service Center
There was a problem where my husband was smelling gas in the car, so he had them check it out. They didn't really find anything in the exhaust system. There was no warranty and I don't remember how much they charged. They always do good work. I'm happy with their work. They are honest. What keeps me going back is because we trust them.

Rick was great to work with. I originally had my car towed to a dealer and they wanted $5200 to put a rebuilt transmission in my car. That's the only way they would warrant it. Cincinnati Transmission picked it up for free and brought it back to their shop. They offered me a used transmission which was a big savings, but when it came in they didn't like the quality so they did a full rebuild for the same price! It took a little while extra, but I really appreciate that they lived up to their committed price. They were great to work with.

They don't take their time to find out what's wrong with your car. I brought my car in because it was making a noise. The guy told me it was an alignment. I took my car back and he goes, oh I'm sorry I made a mistake, it wasn't your alignment. It ended up my axle was splitting away from the car. He basically charged me for something I didn't need to do. After that, I didn't use him again.

It was a standard oil change where they check the levels of the fuel and things like that, but they do a fast turn around and they wash he car after they are done.

Very courteous very knowledgeable if there is anything out of the ordinary they let you know, they don't just do work without tell you or confirm anything with you.

    Bob Sumerel Tire & Service

This guy I trust. I sat and talked with him a few times when I brought the car in. By doing that I learned a little bit about his family and his life in general. Next thing you know I sent him a couple of Christmas gifts catered to our discussions. After that he has been straight with me. I even took my car in once and said I thought the car was shot and it was time to get rid of it. He put it up on the rack, fixed up a few things, came back to me and said he would not get rid of it and that it was still solid.

Ryan got us on the schedule right away and got our tires changed out, balanced them and checked our brakes while performing the service. They did a great job and we will continue to use them for future repairs. Very honest and thorough!

    Midas Auto Service Experts
When I picked up the car, I received a suggested repairs list based on their unsolicited examination of the car. The cost estimate for the repairs was approximately $1,000. The manager asked if I would like to schedule the repairs. I told him that I needed time to review the list and then decide. I was uncomfortable with items on the list having been categorized as needing repair. I then took the Midas list to the garage I frequent. I asked them to tell me to what extent the list was valid. The bill for the assessment by my garage was approximately $100. The results were that all but one of the items did not, in their opinion require any repair. The one item that was a slight anomaly was two rubber boots that appeared to have been intentionally cut. I need to say that, there is a possibility that the tears existed prior to Midas' examination. Nothing, including the tears, were seen as requiring attention. I always heard that Midas tries to use a cheap oil change to get you in for an "up-sale"... However, based on my experience, I would not recommend this store.
