    The Eco Plumbers & Drains
I called Eco Plumbers on Tuesday and they sent someone out on Wednesday. They communicated well and in the end the service was completed properly. I googled the pump model and found that it sells retail for about $170 online. Figure $20 for a check valve. That leaves $390 for the labor, service call, etc. That seems excessive, but I agreed to the price before he started work. I have a finished basement and I needed the pump replaced with all the rain we've been getting, otherwise I would have waited until the weekend and replaced it myself. I would request a ball-park estimate ahead of time if you have the time.

    Hydra Basement Waterproofing
I talked to Pat Kirby and he listened to my explanations on my basement issues and asked for pictures of the problems.  I sent the pictures to him and he responded to me right away every time.  He explained to me that the crack in the block was very minor and to caulk it and not worry about it and if the crack ever gets bigger let him know.
Pat also told me that the issue with the wetness by the sump pump was coming from the outside and I explained that my drain pipe to the road is broken but still draining he explained that this would be the cause.  He explained that needs corrected and the wetness should be taken care of.  He said I could then reseal the block.
Pat was great to talk to and was very knowledgeable and I appreciate his help.  I will use Hydra when I need basement work completed.

    The Eco Plumbers & Drains
Pearl and Travis were extremely professional, punctual, and efficient. Pearl came out a week earlier to conduct a sump pump check up and drainage inspection. We knew there was a problem with the drainage but we didn't know exactly what we needed to do. The EcoPlumbers helped to diagnose the problem and provide a solution. They completed the entire job in one day and we couldn't be happier with the service.

    The Eco Plumbers & Drains
Eco plumber removed my old sum pum(just 3 years old) and replaced with Zoeller 507-0008. Zoeller 507-0008 contains a main pump and a battery based backup pump. The price was $935 for sum pump replacement. It also includes a Marine Battery which is maintenance free. The price is a little high compared to other back up sum pump. But it is well worth it. My old pump is noisy and I can hear how many pumps very day. After the replacement for the first time, I did not realize pump was running, very quiet. I tested the backup sumpump and it was more quieter. The back up was 1/3 HP, I wish it was 1/2, but probably enough for our house.
Then the technician fixed the MOEN bath tub leaking issue.
The technician was professional and had 15 years of experience. Customer service is good too. They call me one day ahead to remind the appointment.

    The Waterworks
I called because my main water line was busted somewhere underground between the water meter and my basement - and was leaking water into my basement as a result. The water company came out just to check on their end, diagnosed this, and let me know I had a lot of water pumping out underground (1 gallon per minute).
So Water Works came out late that afternoon, but the guy couldn't do the work because they needed an excavation crew. So he put me in touch with the dispatcher of that group (Wendy). Wendy immediately quoted me a ballpark price on the phone given the guys diagnosis. Two options: they could come out that night and do the work, or I could wait until the following day. That night it would cost twice as much (~$2,500 vs ~$1,300). I decided just to wait until the next day given the drastic price difference for after hours vs normal hours. She told me she'd get a crew out there as soon as possible the next day, and confirmed with the guy on sight.
So this morning (the next day) I was waiting until 10am when I decided to call and see if they had an ETA. I spoke with a different dispatcher who said the local guy didn't even have the job on his chart or whatever, but she'd get him over right away. He arrived, but with no excavation crew. Apparently what Wendy told me was not their "standard process" and she should have never quoted that on the phone. He was there to do a "formal" diagnosis, to which he'd draw up a proposal, then I could sign... and then they'd determine when a crew would come out. In other words, nothing like she told me the night before. Worse yet, not only was no crew available today, but one wasn't available until next Wednesday (5 days from now).
Clearly I became frustrated as I was told not only could they have a crew ready (24/7 she bragged!), but they could have even come out the night before (albeit for a premium charge given it would be after hours). The estimator on site today put me in touch with Isiah (some kind of higher up) who heard me out and said he would fix the mistake. He did not. He came back with the same story. "We misinformed you last night, but can't have a crew out until Wed".
Meanwhile, I still have a busted main water line pumping out water at a gallon a minute, while Water Works wasted a full 24 hours where I could have called and had a competently run business come out and do their jobs correctly.
In the end, I am blown away by not just the failure of Wendy at dispatch last night, who clearly dropped the ball several times - but also by the clear lack of desire and effort to rectify the situation for me given that Isiah himself said they messed up last night. But hey, he agreed to not charge me the $100 for the guy to come out last night... so there's that. I should have known better as I found them on Angie's list and saw two recent poor review right at the top (D and F). But given the emergency situation and their supposed 24/7 service, called them anyways. I deeply regret this.
Overall, I will never use Water Works again and will do my best to ensure none of my friends, colleagues or random people on the street ever call them either. Be warned. You can find other plumbers in the area that are competent and will treat you right. Water Works is not that kind of company.

    Mr Rooter Plumbing of Columbus
Couldn't be happier with the prompt service we received from the guys at Mr Rooter!  The drain pipe from our sump to the street was so clogged that we wound up with lots of water in our basement from an overnight rainstorm.  Our window for service was 2-4pm and they were there by 2:30.   They were very thorough and explained everything they were doing!

    Beacom Construction Co LLC
Aaron and his crew members (Jerry, Clayton) from Beacom Construction were very professional, courteous and cordial to work with. We engaged Aaron way before we closed out on our newly built home. The construction experience and professionalism was evident from the moment we engaged him.  He is spot on getting back to you with an estimate and if you really don't know what you want, he readily tells you what you should be looking for. No job is small for him. He and his crew proactively stepped in and helped us when we were repeatedly pushed away by our building construction manager for things the builder could have done .  When you work with a new build, it is all smiles and rosy before the closing but then you see the attitude ad arrogant side of the builder after closing. When i say that, it is for small jobs like drilling a hole for the dishwasher outlet etc. As a first time home owner, you feel helpless but then that's where Aaron and his team made a difference. He proactively helped us in those things which the builder washed off his hands in addition to the above services which we asked for from him. One thing which I which we liked very much was, Aaron considers your home as his own. He covers this work place with protective rugs (we had hardwood floors in our kitchen) as well as all the work debris is constantly vacuumed. You readily feel at home when Aaron and his team works because they quietly go with your daily routine.Aaron and his team take their time to educate you with the required operation and maintenance after they have finished their service, which is very important. We would definitely recommend Aaron and his team for any needs big and small.
You can choose to buy your own materials or give it all to Aaron. He is very easy to work with your options and you can use his 17+ years of experience.
We are using beacom construction company for our kitchen backsplash installation as well other projects for our new home..

    Blessed Plumbing Inc
I remember he left parts down. He had old parts that he took out, he left that down there. He left a jacket. He really smelled. I don't think it cost me more. He was trying to get me to purchase a backup generator and I just said, "No", a backup to the sump pump. I don't know if he left the jacket, may be that was somebody else but I think that he was nice enough but I can't stand to have anybody around me with poor hygiene. And then those parts were heavy and I had to take them out and throw them in the trash. I just didn't think he was very professional. The pricing was fine! I thought the quality was good. He came out pretty quickly.

    Amanda Plumbing Sewer & Drain
The installers name was Rick Moore. He did an outstanding job. He did such a great job, he spent half an hour getting gravel out of my old sumpump before putting in the new sumpump. That is over the top, and that is how it should be done. They are an outstanding company and they have outstanding workers.

    The Waterworks
Called them after our normal plumber said they could not come out for a couple of days. I called in the morning and they came out that afternoon. Gave us a 4 hour window, but called after 2 hours to give a status update and they were here shortly thereafter. Quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it.
