Firewood Company reviews in Lebanon

I ordered 2 full cords of split firewood from this company. The add on craigslist said "seasoned firewood" " $ 150 per cord.  Warren County Free delivery 513-850-1602".   He said on the phone that he "could deliver on the weekend".   He showed up on time Sunday  (Mr. Keith Williams)  I asked how much he had hauled me in is trailer ? (it was loosely heaped in the trailer)  He replied "2 cords".  I confirmed the price at $ 300 and he agreed and dumped the firewood near my driveway as agreed and I paid him. Later on Sunday after I had finished stacking the wood,  I measured for proper volume (2 cords = 256 cubic feet tightly stacked)  the stack only measured out at 180 cubic feet.  This is a shortage of 30%.  I called him and e-mailed him same day on Sunday to try and work it out. It took a few frustrating days but he eventually called me back, apologized and delivered the balance of the wood.  My load of wood could have been cut more consistently on the length, but it was acceptable, fair amount of odd shapes and lengths. On the bright side,  It was 98% hardwood but included about 5 species. The second load looks more consistent for length and should stack much better. Also his price is about as low I you will find on the open market in the fall.

Case sells firewood he's seasoned over in a barn, so it's been out of the elements.  We turned to him, finding him on Craigslist, after two disappointing experiences trying to get firewood from places we found elsewheret - one was a light cord of overseasoned wood, the other was so wet we couldn't use it until we dried it out in front of the wood stove. Third time was the charm - we ordered a cord from Case and received a bit more than a full cord, and the wood was as advertised and is burning well. Case is a local farmer who sells wood on the side. He brought it out in a trailer and he and a friend helped us unload it. Very personable.  He has some cords left for this season, so if you need firewood to finish out the winter, we highly recommend the fella to you.

We ordered 2 cords. Pretty sure we got that, perhaps a bit more than 2 full cords total. Most were good size, with a lot of odd sized pieces. Our major complaint, the wood was wet - a lot more than the snowfall two days earlier would account for. We've had a real chore trying to use it. We have to dry it out, or stack it in front of the wood stove before it'll burn properly. Real pain. Won't order from them again.
