    We had Joe do a shower renovation for us.  He removed our old builder grade shower with surround, and enlarged and replaced it with a beautiful tiled shower.  His design instincts and craftsmanship are top notch.  We couldn't be happier, and wouldn't hesitate to contact him for any other renovation projects we may need!  He was super easy to work with, and our project specifications were clearly delineated in our contract before starting.  No surprises- just beautiful results!

    Nic did a fantastic job with our kitchen.  His prices were very reasonable and he was helpful in our selection of cabinets, counter tops, flooring, lighting & appliance's. The crew was neat and clean and completed the demo and installation in 3 days!  The cabinets are high quality and have a lifetime warranty.  We couldn't be more pleased and happy with our new kitchen!

    I have used Mr. Electric before and was impressed with his meticulous work. He now uses helpers that he works with and supervises, but the work continues to be clean, accurate and overall very excellent. After quoting one price in the estimate, he lowered the cost admitting that they did not have to rewire as many outlets as first expected. I found that honesty refreshing and agreed to have them do some extra work cleaning up some additional wiring in the basement.

    JD was unable to complete the project. From the start I told him that it was not as important when the project began, but that once it did begin it was very important that things move along at a good rate. I first paid him in mid-April and they began work at the start of May. I have quite a few important visitors that come by and I was told that the remodel would be finished in time for a visit in mid-July, but this was far from the truth. It is now mid-October and I had to tell JD that we would no longer use his service to complete our project. He is dishonest and has told me countless times that he would be done in a week. I was very patient and gave him numerous opportunities to complete this. Throughout the whole process there was a constant trend of 2-3 week periods where no one was even here to work on the remodel. When someone did come in to work it was often just for a couple hours at a time. Communication was poor and the quality of work was amateur. Corners were cut in several areas and the attention to detail was lacking. JD was very disconnected from the project and did not understand how much work was yet to be done throughout the process. There were a number excuses and he would accept no responsibility himself. The whole experience was disappointing. I am finishing the remaining tasks myself and am paying an electrician and HVAC company to complete some of the tasks as well. The HVAC company is having to redo quite a bit of the work done by the person working for JD. I had 10% left to pay JD upon completion, but now that I am paying these other contractors, the total project is costing me more than what it should have been.

    We had a deck cover built in last year and the installers put in provisiion for two fans to be installed. Electrical lines were routed out of the covers into the house and joined to the line that controlled the light in the back porch. The electrical lines going into the house were neatly put inside pipes and routed into the attic. The pipes were painted to match the cover and are very unobtrusive. They also installed remote controls for the fans and lights. The bathroom fans we had were original to the house and about 20 years old and needed to be replaced. They suggested the type of fan to get during the visit for the quote and the size of fan to get. The fans in all three bathrooms were replaced and they are working very well indeed. They arrived at 8 am as promised and worked till around 2 pm. They were courteous and cleaned up afterwards. The cost may be more than others but you definitely get what you pay for.

    I made an appointment for Zimax to come out and give me a bid to finish my basement. I also submitted our initial plans to maximize the time spent. I had an appointment window 8~8:30am. This was my day off and I had other plans for the remainder of the day. The employee didn't show up on time, nor call to indicate he would be late. When I reached out to the office later in the morning (after 9am), I was finally contacted back with an excuse/apology and he indicated he would be there in 15~20 minutes. He indicated there was an issue with water in the basement and he had to take care of that first. I was under the impression it was his personal basement and gave him the okay to still come out as I understand how that can go. An hour later he still wasn't there. I received a text that it would be later in the morning at about 11am. Again, I was more than patient because I understand what it's like to have these types of issues. He still didn't show up by 11am as indicated in the text. He then asked if he could come later in the day and I let him know he could come after 2pm but to call first to be sure I would be home as I had an appointment that could not be rescheduled. At this point, I was just trying to not reschedule to another day as it would not be possible. At 4:30, I called the office again and let them know that I still haven't heard from the estimator. She apologized, explained it was due to another customer's issue with water in the basement and said she would have him reach out again. He called and said he could be out at 6pm. He never showed. No one from the company ever followed up at that point. This is not how I would expect a company to behave that has such a high rating in both Angie's list and Home Advisors. 1. They should have called before they were going to be late. 2. They should have been up front about the actual issues at hand and not imply they were on their way when they were clearly not. 3. I should not have had to call them more than once. 4. The company should have followed up with me once I reached out the final time after 7:30pm to let them know he never showed. Bottom line: Considering the issue they were experiencing, I should have been contacted first thing in the morning and offered the option of rescheduling.

    Everything was done and work was quality. I don't think I would purchase services this way again though. I bought 4 hours of work but I had no way of knowing how long the work I needed done would take. I think I overpaid based on the time the electrician was there.

    Initially we went with a non granite surface for the shower but it did not look as good as the installer and my wife and I had hoped. The contractor tore it all out and we decided to go with granite and it looks great. There was no additional charge for changing it.
