    Brown's Plumbing
I called Roger Brown and he called me back that day, and he came out when he said he would. He worked for a couple of hours with the auger but things were not draining until he persisted. Boom! Whatever he hit (maybe in the city's part of the sewer line) it opened up and the water flowed out like crazy. He found the outside clean-out when another local plumber I had a year earlier charged me a lot extra to cut the main stack in the basement to use as a clean out. I may never call that other company again!

    Drain Patrol Plumbing
Drain Patrol answered every question and provided advice on how to clean the drain (which started as PVC and dumped into flexible corrugated pipe) in order to minimize the chance of a rupture. Other plumbers either didn't have the right equipment or didn't think through how to address my unique circumstances. They showed up on time and and did a great job. Provided a six month warranty on their work,, which is rare for this type of job.

    Hauser Heating & Air Conditioning
You cannot go wrong with Hauser!  Greg had been out before and removed a clog from the furnace drain, water was coming out on the floor from the A/C.  We were very happy with his service, but we noticed the water had started to pool on the floor again yesterday.  I called hoping they could fit us in soon and Greg came within HOURS!!
This time he found GROSS!! a dead mouse way back inside the drain pipe.  He removed it and flushed out the drain again.  It is working perfectly and he did not charge us this time because he said the mouse had to be there before but he could not see it where it was.  We are just so happy the clog is gone and none of us had to see it.
These people are top professionals, responsive and fair.  We will never call anyone else for heating or AC problems.  I would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

    Roto Rooter
The first 2 guys that came out (Jarrod and Luke (?)) were nice and professional.  They did the job and even helped me clean up raw sewage.  I opted to have them tack on an extra fee for having a camera put down the main.  It was a good thing that I did.
The camera guy (John) came out separate a few hours later after the first guys left.   He was nice and professional.  He could only put the camera down the main so far because there was a huge clog further down the line.  Because of the first guys inexperience they used the wrong blade to clean out the main the first time.  John used the correct blades and then checked it again with the camera.  All was clear.  Over all I think Roto Rooter has some very good people working for them.  However it is a kind of "luck of the draw" as to how much experience the guy or guys showing up at your door have unless you ask for a certain person. Jarrod is a nice guy and does have competence in some jobs (we have used him before), but John has more experience on his side for all jobs.

    Brown's Plumbing
It's July 4th and a tenant called to say her kitchen drain was clogged. I never expected to get anyone to come out on a holiday. This was the first time I had to call someone other than my usual plumber as he does not deal with drains. Roger came out and cleared the drain and I'm very pleased with his service. I will absolutely call on him again. I have 4 apartments to take care of and need reliable service people.

    Steve Jones Plumbing LLC
The work was completed in a timely fashion.  The pipe is now fixed to avoid future problems.  The original builder/plumber installed the pipe incorrectly, so after 8 years it plugged.

    Call Tim Ryan Inc
On a Thursday night, I noticed a wet spot in the carpet leading to a puddle under my 19 year-old water heater in the basement.  On Friday, I contacted 3 plumbers via Angie's list to provide a replacement water heater.  All gave very similar price quotes over the phone.  Two of the plumbers would be able to replace my water heater in about a week.  Tim said he could come the next day (Saturday).  He did indeed arrive Saturday afternoon (with a telephone update telling me of his arrival time) and installed the new heater (with a big drip pan this time).  He also removed the old one.  He discovered the floor drain in the basement partially clogged and cleared that for me at no extra charge.  His work was clean and professional and I would definitely use him again.

    Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
We were not happy with the service they provided.  They did not do it right and we had to hire someone else.  We ended up paying another company an additional $900 to fix the problem.  If they had done the job right the price would have been fair.  They were quick to respond.

run a camera to the septic tank.  The tank was full.  If the first guy had the initiative to do that, it would have saved us money and a lot of cleanup in the house.  I liked the second guy, but was not impressed with the company overall.

    Pete the Plumber
Pete arrived promptly (as usual), carrying his booties and a large sheet to wipe his feet on to keep my house clean.  His helper immediately began to clear the drain while I explained to him the problem with the tub.  I wanted to replace the fixtures on the 12-year-old tub and was having a hard time finding parts.  He asked me to get on the internet, show him what research I had already done and called Kohler (the manufacturer of the parts) to ask them what options we had to replace the fixtures.  He then explained to me what they said, and gave me estimates as to the different options I had and what each would probably cost. Most impressive of all, in case I decided to replace the fixtures myself, he described how I would do it, in great detail.
