    The Waterworks
    My overall experience with them has been excellent. Their workers worked really hard when they were here. They showed up when they were supposed to. It was about a three or four day project. It was a lot of work and those guys worked like I cannot tell you. Their supervisor was very knowledgeable. He was extremely professional. This was one of the commercial grade type projects done in a residential area in a very small space and they did not leave a nick to trim around my garage. They were down in there with ladders, did hand digging and they had to remove big sandstone rocks, etc. I live in a historical house and they were able to do all this without any damage and that was amazing. We had several estimates from different providers to solve the problem and Water Works caused the least damage and the cost was fair. Regarding quality, I think they did a very good job.

    Mammoth Restoration & Cleaning


    My elderly parents home/basement was contaminated with a major septic tank back-up.  After the plumber came, I contacted them after hours on a week night - They returned my call immediately.  They came to Lancaster, OH from Columbus the next morning. They gave us a complete description of what they could do for us. We decided what was necessary - the whole process took 3 days, with the de-humidifiers in place. They did an excellent, thorough job, cleaned up the trash and took away all the contaminated carpet, vanity, etc.  It took them a multiple return trips to get it all done.  They were also happy to make arrangements for the payment of invoice.



    This whole process was very upsetting to me and my family.  They remained calm, kind and very professional -

    They kept their word about arrival times, estimate, and follow up.  Highest recommendation!.

    Scott Hall Remodeling
    This was an extremely challenging project for several reasons. Our older brick residence was built in 1931, with narrow oak hardwood floors, and a poured concrete floor in the tiled bathroom. Even the sink counter was poured concrete. All surfaces were tiled. The fire burned through supporting floor joists, and the poured concrete pad tilted and partially collapsed, causing plumbing, electrical, and structural damage, air duct collapse. Essentially, the floor and joists had to be replaced and the entire bathroom space rebuilt, rewired, and re-plumbed. To complicate things, the lathe and mortar walls included hand formed coves around the top. Before I called Scott Hall, I called several contractors for estimates; I have a background in the construction and woodworking trades so I was able to evaluate these bids fairly. Two were artificially low bids, one was extremely high, and all did not properly specify the project elements I had clearly identified. 
    Scott Hall completely  and correctly studied and evaluated the scope and specifics of the project in his written Project Scope. He found some hidden issues that I had missed. He and his staff explained each step of the work, a realistic timetable, and started on time and stayed on schedule.
    In our older home, nothing is square, and the damage was not only extensive in the space but in all the supporting systems. Scott Hall and his crew were able to come up with some ingenious solutions to challenging situations that all contributed to a very high quality result. They cleaned up every day stayed in constant communication throughout the project.
    I can recommend Scott Hall Remodeling without qualification; these guys are very, very good. Honesty, integrity, and attention to detail were top flight. If you use this contractor, you will be pleased.

    I lodged a complaint about them. They are a very dishonest company.  They billed me for $9200.  We had a storm and a lot of rain and the electric went out.  The sump wasn’t working and the basement flooded.  My insurance agent contacted them and I thought he was familiar with the company but he wasn’t.  He called them and hired them.  They came in and before they started the work they made me sign a bunch of papers.  There was a performance evaluation even before they started work.  They seen a chance to charge us more and brought in more fans and they pulled off all my drywall and cut up all the carpet. I don’t understand why they did some areas and not the others. I kept asking for an estimate and they said they would give me one but I never got one. Everyday I would ask several times because I could see they were going to charge me a lot but I never got one.  They put so many fans in my basement that it was blowing my circuit breaker. I had about 33 fans and 3 humidifiers down there. It was ridiculous.  They did a bunch of damage to my woodwork down there and they threw away my baseboard without asking me.  I seen that only about 2 baseboards had damage and the rest were fine but they threw them away.  They tried to install all new baseboards and the solid wood frames which were already there were damaged.  They did a lot of damage to the wall even where they didn’t cut up.  They just made a huge mess.  I could never get an estimate and my insurance was going to pay only $5000 and they sent me a bill for $9200.   I had to pay about $8000 for the contractor to come back and put it back together.  It was just a mess from the word go.  I talked to several contractors who have been to basements and houses larger than mine and they said the total bills were between $3000 and $3500.  They sent me a bill of $9200 which is ridiculous.  I told them I am disputing their bill and they asked me not to do so and this happened in November and I still haven’t heard back from them.  I keep calling them and they say it is on their desk and they are so busy.  That was always an excuse.  They were completely dishonest but they say they want to settle it with me and never call me back. I have not paid the bill yet. They are really crooked and they treat their employees badly.  I think legally if you ask for one they should give you one. The insurance company has also lodged a complaint against them as well.  They just won’t call me back. Everything looks so shady that it looks weird. They did work hard but they made a mess and they were just not dealing with me honestly.  The price is more than twice of what it should have been.  They are charging me $6763 just to run the fans and that is a ridiculous amount of money to run fans.  They didn’t tell me that also and they just faxed it to my insurance agent. They also told me that they found mold and they would send somebody for it.  A kid showed up without any equipment and now they say I have mold in my house which I don’t believe I do.  They were here the day after the flood happened.

    I would caution people about the company.  My insurance agent called them.  They showed up.  They had me sign some papers that they went through really quickly and I shouldn't have signed up.  My charge just for the fans is almost $7000.00.  I could have replaced my carpet and fixed the drywall for that price.  I asked them to finally get their equipment out because several times a day I would be asking for an estimate which I thought was getting outrageous.  For the little bit of work they did which they did not finish, they charged me $9200.00.  Every time I asked for an estimate, they would give me excuses like they needed to talk to someone.  I finally called the manager myself and she told me her computer was down.  She never got back to me.  It was just a ridiculous run-around.  I got a huge charge because they thought my insurance would pay, which they will not because it was water.  I just would caution people not to sign the paperwork until they know what they are getting into.  They were not very professional.  They buffaloed me and would not give information.  By the second day I felt like I was getting a charge-up.  I could have fixed my basement myself and replaced it with brand new carpeting for what they charged me to rip out the pads and put fans down.  People need to find out who they are dealing with financially before they commit to something like that.  They may be better off starting it from scratch and replacing everything new than paying for their service.  If they knew that my insurance coverage was only $5000.00, I think they wouldn't have brought in so much equipment.  They showed up the same day, but they would not respond to my requests for an estimate.  I would never use them again and I want to make sure other people know what they are getting into before they use them.  I would not recommend them.
