    Basement Remedy
This wall was close to a septic and the work area was confined. They knew what to do and the work was done correct. I am a Design Engineer by profession and had confidence in their ability from the start. Everything turned out great!

Requested basement inspection. Date set up. Day before scheduled inspection company called to reschedule as they had way overbooked their personnel with this offer on Angies' List. Rescheduled. Tech showed up but the inspection was very cursory. He did not address our concerns but gave us the "maybe this will fix it" solution. BIG disappointment.

    Ohio Basement Authority
Joe came out and did the inspection. I could tell immediately that this was a different kind of company. Felt no pressure at all to sign that night. Called them back and set everything up. Jose and his crew came out and finished the work in two days. They cleaned up everything and left it better then when they arrived. I could not ask for a better experience.

Puroclean Water, Fire, & Mold Experts

I was preparing to purchase a house and the inspector had seen what he thought was mold. I have a partial finished basement and a concreted crawl space. The owner showed up and inspected where I said the mold was. He told me what needed done. The next day he sent me an estimate of $4,164.42. He didn't check any part of the finished basement. I called another company for an estimate. When they came and did the inspection they took out ceiling tiles in the finished part of he basement and showed me mold above them also. They said it was probably caused by the dryer vent pipe being broken and discharging the damp dryer air into the basement. There estimate to clean the crawl space and the finished part of the basement was $2,800. I just was not impressed with the thoroughness or the price of PuroClean

    Everdry Waterproofing
Since we are intending to remodel our farmhouse that is presently vacant we are gathering estimates for our basement. After meeting with one very professional company a few weeks before we called Ever Dry. They were prompt, nice and professional, however, very high pressure. Of course they wanted my husband and me both there and I know why now.  They wanted us to sign up that day with free financing for a year.  When we explained that we are simply gathering estimates, it is Christmas and nothing is happening with the house until at least spring they still piled on the pressure.  They offered some deals that would take the price down a couple of thousand.  Finally they believed we were not going to sign anything when we said we need to think about it.  Then a call came the next day.  Their reps just happened to be in our town that day and could we meet again. Perhaps the measurements were off and the price could be less.  Hearing this was a real turn off because it sounds so deceitful and desperate. It makes them look bad as if they did an improper measure! We knew they didn't or shouldn't have because if you are professional that certainly wouldn't look good! So in the course of the next couple days the calls continued wanting us both to be here and as it is difficult since I work outside the home my hus band said we aren't interested and that was the end of that.  I would never recommend them because of their sales pitch, pushy and very in your face. The lady who schedules the appointment was rude to a degree when she insisted that we both be here for the follow-up appointment asking me what time I get off work, etc. with no regard to my personal schedule. Much too forward.  That was enough for us!!!!

    Hydra Basement Waterproofing

Called three companies to get estimate on waterproofing our basement. All three were on time each did a thought job of defining the problem and providing the cost of repair. The Hydro Co. was the lowest  bidder by far, and I was a little skeptical if they would do as good a job as the other two because of the price differences. I needn't have worried! They did and excellent job and when addition problems were found(plumbing)I was informed on what was needed to fix the problems and the additional cost. This was done at a very fair price and both the waterproofing and additional problems were completed in a timely manner.

The entire crew were extremely professional : arriving on time stated, were very courteous and friendly, and always cleaned up before leaving.

I Highly recommend this company to anyone considering basement waterproofing.

    SERVPRO
I would caution people about the company.  My insurance agent called them.  They showed up.  They had me sign some papers that they went through really quickly and I shouldn't have signed up.  My charge just for the fans is almost $7000.00.  I could have replaced my carpet and fixed the drywall for that price.  I asked them to finally get their equipment out because several times a day I would be asking for an estimate which I thought was getting outrageous.  For the little bit of work they did which they did not finish, they charged me $9200.00.  Every time I asked for an estimate, they would give me excuses like they needed to talk to someone.  I finally called the manager myself and she told me her computer was down.  She never got back to me.  It was just a ridiculous run-around.  I got a huge charge because they thought my insurance would pay, which they will not because it was water.  I just would caution people not to sign the paperwork until they know what they are getting into.  They were not very professional.  They buffaloed me and would not give information.  By the second day I felt like I was getting a charge-up.  I could have fixed my basement myself and replaced it with brand new carpeting for what they charged me to rip out the pads and put fans down.  People need to find out who they are dealing with financially before they commit to something like that.  They may be better off starting it from scratch and replacing everything new than paying for their service.  If they knew that my insurance coverage was only $5000.00, I think they wouldn't have brought in so much equipment.  They showed up the same day, but they would not respond to my requests for an estimate.  I would never use them again and I want to make sure other people know what they are getting into before they use them.  I would not recommend them.
