    Really well. We needed a half split system as we have a 100 + year old house with a boiler and required air conditioning for health reasons. We didn���t want to have to deal with window air conditioners or removing the boiler system to replace with a forced air system; the half split was the best choice. Sal���s had the most reasonable bid and was very prompt in scheduling and installing. Every person we dealt with from Sal���s was professional, kind and had wonderful senses of humor. Grade A+ all around.

    Wonderful! This is our only furnace company from now on. Our 100 year old boiler died on a Friday afternoon at 2:30pm right before Thanksgiving. We have some medical issues and cannot move easily to a hotel or be without heat. We explained our situation to Slife over the phone and Dave Slife came over himself in an hour, gave us a quote cheaper than any other company. He also had his staff set us up with a temporary furnace free of charge until they could come and install a new boiler. We had heat by 6:30pm on a Friday. They treated us like family and we will never forget their generosity or caring.

    Slife is the absolute best! My boiler was making a suspicious clicking noise, so I called to get it checked. Liz sent a technician who was in the area within the hour, and he determined that my thermostat had given up the ghost. He replaced it, and now all is good. I have used Slife for my residence and commercial properties for several years and have never been disappointed. In addition, they have taken very good care of the heating system at the home of my 89 year old parents. Professional, responsive, honest, and reasonably priced... I cannot say enough good things about this awesome company!

    Matt came by early the next day and diagnosed the problem and fixed it up without too much hassle and for a very reasonable price. You can't put a price on cool air on a hot day - but the price here was excellent all the same. Matt is a great guy too - professional and efficient. Highly recommended.

    Again Dan Donnelly HVAC comes to the rescue. One of my tenants reported to me on Friday March 30th that her furnace would not turn on. I texted Brett that evening and he immediately got back to me saying he could be there between 8 and 10 AM the next morning. Brett came out as promised and fixed the problem (bad thermocouple) quickly. I have used Dan Donnelly several times and each time Brett came out the next day, the job was quickly diagnosed, the repair was done correctly, all at a very reasonable cost. Much appreciated for the prompt service especially since it was the day before Easter and the weather was frigid.

    I do my best to try to support local small businesses, but dealing with Slife has been an overall disappointing experience due to the lack of follow-up by the owner. I called for an estimate for a new furnace and AC ($8,000 - $10,000 job) as I plan on having it installed during their slower season. I was told by the receptionist that Dave Slife would call me back to schedule the estimate as he is the only one that handles estimates. After a week, I never received a call back. I am not one to post a negative review for this type of occurrence as people are busy and can be forgetful, but this is the second time Slife has failed to follow-up. The first time was almost a year ago after I never received an estimate for a prior job (I had to follow-up and remind Dave about the estimate). I ended up hiring Slife for the job and they did a good job. Overall, Slife does a quality job but the lack of follow-up and customer service is unfortunate. It might be time to empower another individual to provide estimates if they are so busy they can't follow-up as they say they will. Also, a simple 10 second phone call stating they are too busy would be an adequate response (even though the estimates from two other companies took only ten minutes, my house is five minutes away from their office, and I plan on having the new unit installed in the spring/slow season).

    I woke up in the middle of the night to a burning smell and the temperature rapidly dropping in the house during Cleveland���s sub-zero cold snap! I called one ���24 hour��� place that didn���t answer, and then called my family for a recommendation. They referred me to Slife, so I gave them a call. The phone was answered promptly at 4:30 am (!!) and then said that a tech would call me back. I was called back very quickly and walked through some minor diagnostics. The tech (who turned out to be the owner of the company because all others were busy) made sure that I knew the fees up front and was at my house within minutes. He was able to diagnose the dead blower motor right away and took pieces parts to the shop to replace the motor. He was back quicker than he estimated and I had heat again all within 2 hours of my initial call! I was very pleased with the level of service, their patience with my lack of knowledge about anything to do with my furnace while walking me through checking stuff in the initial diagnosis, the speed of his work and the reasonable cost. I would recommend them to anyone and will definitely use them again!

    The technician arrived an hour past the window given without informing me he would be late. He then told me there would be a diagnostic fee, which I was not aware I was going to be charged since I had requested an estimate and was not under the impression that this was a "service call" for a "repair" as the tech explained. He also mentioned that the office often does not correctly explain that an estimate for this service requires the diagnostic (and the fee). I was hesitant at first but I do need the work done, and the tech said the diagnostic fee was standard with this type of work, which I have also heard. Initially he was very doubtful it could be moved and questioned why I wanted to move it, then he looked around and said it could probably very easily be done. It got off to a rocky start, as the tech was late and I was not expecting a diagnostic fee, but it ended alright.

    In the middle of one of the hottest days of the summer, our AC broke. Apparently, so did everyone else's in Cleveland. These guys still managed to get us in, provide good service and do good work. They didn't try to upsell us or exaggerate the problem. They just did good work. Kudos! Good service is hard to come by so we are very glad to hire these guys again!
