    Green and Clean Home Services
The technician was very polite and professional, they were in contact with me throughout the day to let me know when he would arrive and he arrived on time! Very professional service and company, I definitely recommend Green and clean!

    Century Chimney Sweep Inc
This crew was so friendly, and so professional. "Graham" was the name of the sweep that arrived here. They ran a camera all the way up the inside of my chimney, and found a hole where someone apparently had vented something else into it in the past. Smoke, sparks and heat could have got into my attic if they had not found this. They might have saved us from a very bad situation! They also installed a cap to keep animals out, filled in a small hole in our fireplace wall, and put our damper plate back on track.

Called office and spoke with Bob. I told him that the chimney had a blockage and he told me that "they do not do appliance vents". He said they only do liners. He then proceeded to tell me to contact a plumber. Plumber? I then looked at their website and see that they do perform all chimney services so I called him back to clarify this is indeed a chimney that needs cleaned and/or repaired. He then stated that "if the furnace is vented to the chimney that they won't service those, only service ones with fireplace". It just doesn't make sense. It also contradicts their website page that describes the process of putting in a new liner to vent the furnace up the chimney. I have gathered from these two conversations that either Bob is sabotoging business for the owner or he is a complete moron. Either way that the owner has allowed this person to be the first point of contact of his business and losing clients because of it. Hopefully Gary the owner will read this review.

    Zemco Roofing & Repairs Inc
We have used zemco 3 times now. Brian is a great roofer and honest. He doesn't over sell and fixes what needs to be done for a fair price. Brian has always been on time and he not only shows up to look at a problem by fixes it while he is there. He is efficient and a hard worker. I wish all contractors were this great!

    PPM Slate Roofing

Great work, and these guys really into old slate! commented many times about the condition of my "green
and grey Vermont slate "roof. An education for me, as I'm into old house stuff - this one's about 100yrs. They recover slate from
    demolitions when available.
Don't forget to ask them what else they can do while they're up on the roof..ended up w slate roof tune up inc repainting valleys, a new
section of gutter, new rake aluminum siding, having the peak painted, and chimney repointed! all for around $2500. (Thier initial estimate just for the roof was $1200. Another contractor gave me an estimate of $1400 just fort he rake siding.)
They did spot a divot on the porch roof, but they dont do asphalt shingles.
They also traveled each of the 2 project days from Pennsylvania to Cleveland, Ohio. Surprised me that they were considered local.

Everything was done as promised and in a timely manner, especially given the unpredictability of Cleveland weather.  The quality of the masonry, and sub-contracted roofing, is great.  I would highly recommend Nick and his team.

    Professional Chimney Service Inc
They were very prompt, courteous and professional. They were clean, worked quickly and efficiently and answered all my questions.

They addressed my concerns and I could see the condition of my chimney watching the video inspection.

    Top Hat Chimney Sweeps Inc
It's been over a year since this service was provided and I have been meaning to come in and write a review because the world should know how great these guys were.
We were going to DIY and my husband accidentally demo'ed the firebox when he was taking down the old brick mantle.  We had several masons come out and Top Hat gave the best bid and seemed the most knowledgeable.
FAST:  It was winter and our home was exposed and open due to the demo.  Top Hat scheduled quickly to come in and get it closed back up.  They were on time everyday and finished on schedule.
CLEAN:  Our attempts left the house filled with soot, which we had cleaned prior to their arrival - so we know how easily it can get messy with this type of work.   They kept the place cleaner than they found it both during the work and at the end of the day.
FLEXIBLE:  They consulted constantly to make sure the work was to our liking, found that our chimney did not have a cap and added it to the bid without changing the labor price.  The original quote did not include mounting the heavy mantle (3 of the pieces in excess of 250 pounds).  Since they did such a great job, we asked them to add install and they did so for only $200 (it took a solid day) and instead of following the directions that came with the mantle to just glue it to the wall, they mounted it with big masonry bolts and metal ties so that thing is not going anywhere.
I was very impressed with them.  They kept the work area clean, arrived on time and worked hard, and gave me a fair price (on the low side of average.)  I won't bother getting quotes from anyone else when I need masonry or chimney work in the future.  These are my go-to.

Advance Masonry & Full Chimney Service Inc
It went ok.  Although I had to call them several times to get scheduled, and yes I understand that they were busy because it was getting colder and they had a lot of jobs, but I had been on the wait list for over 2 months and was getting anxious because it was getting rainy (chimney leaked into house) and colder (mid-Oct), so I called and sternly requested to them to get the job scheduled, which then they did within the week.  The team of 4 guys showed up promptly at the scheduled time.  Because it was a third-story chimney, they put up a huge scaffolding, and were slow and careful building the scaffolding because there were 3 guys up there working from that scaffolding, it was kind of interesting to watch.  But the 4th guy on the ground, who was to be handing up supplies, was a talker.  He talked very loud and would not shut up, and it was mundane stuff like family, going out, things he did, non-stop.  They guys on the roof didn't say much.  It would have been ok if it was occasional, but it was a constant echoing banter for 4 hours.  But the guys on the roof got the job done, and they worked diligently, and the fireplace does not leak any more.  They also cleaned up the whole area nicely.  Just that one guy who was the loud talker, he needs to be quieter.  I am grateful that they were not playing loud rock music like some repair people do.  I would have them again, they did a good job - just if you try to schedule anytime past August or you'll have a hard time getting scheduled.

They were great. It was very good. It was my first time using them. They were very professional and they're very prompt on their time. They were spot-on with their estimate. Their estimate was what the cost was.
