Construction went well. It was in three phases: laying concrete, building structure, and electricity. All were done timely and professionally. (Note: concrete and electricity were done by sub-contractors, also good.). Buschurs also ably handled legal notification to the city. Payment was in four stages. I've enjoyed the sunroom for about three months now; no problems thus far. Windows slide open easily and close/lock securely. Price was about $29,000 USD, but I cannot seem to enter it below so am putting it here.

It was fantastic!  Our windows included a bay and a garden window which our cats absolutely adore.  The siding was completely installed by Art  and the trim work he put into the job shows his pride and professionalism in his craft.  It's really impeccable and all my neighbors' siding is very poor compared to ours.

When it comes to the bathroom, WOW!  he totally renovated it, literally to the studs.  The plumbing (as I expected) was screwed up once they got into the wall.  That resulted in a decently expensive change order (but like I said I expected it) and it was well worth it.

Art is as polite and professional as anyone could ever want.  He did most of the work himself but he subbed a few things out.  With the exception of the insulation guys, every one of Art's subs was as polite/professional and detail oriented as he was.

We'll be doing our kitchen soon and Art is at the head of the list.

I feel like I'm missing some things but Art did right by us on a very expensive upgrade!

Everything was great!  Art is a pro and takes pride in his work.  This pride is evident in the quality of both his and his subs work.  Our bathroom was a mess and Art tore the whole thing out and refreshed it.  It looks and works great now.  I was sick of painting and we sided the house, Art's attention to detail is evident in the trim work for anyone that cares to look, this was not a "slap the siding on" job.  Our windows are great and the cats love the bay window and the garden window is awesome.  The front porch sunroom is pretty darned great too, plus he put in a steel basement door and added a whole bunch of electrical (mostly lighting) upgrades.

We're going to be doing the kitchen soon, Art will be our first estimate.

responsive and knowledgeable salesperson.  Estimate when the job would be done was correct.  Installers showed up on scheduled day and finished job that day (as advertised).  Awning looks great.

Archadeck of West Central & Southwest Ohio
This is the second time in about 20 years that we have used Archadeck for a home improvement project, and although the local franchise is now under different ownership, the end result was the same:  A beautiful, custom-designed and well-built project that we are proud of and meets our living needs even better than we expected.
I'll get the bad news out of the way first, though:  Custom construction is nothing like buying something from the big box store and bringing it home; there are just too many unpredictable variables in play, especially around timing.  Due to weather and delays on previous commitments, our project took five months to start and three months to complete, and the waiting became frustrating.  Once our crew started our project, though, they were almost exclusively dedicated to it through its completion, and made steady progress.  We paid a quarter of the total cost at the initial signing, but I'd suggest negotiating that payment down to shift more of it toward the work once it is actually in progress.
Archadeck really specializes in creating beautiful, interesting, and functional customized designs, and the company has an incredibly rich experience and design portfolio to work from.  Tim listened really, really well to our desires for the project, how we wanted to use it, and the problems we had experienced with the existing structure, and presented us with a design that addressed all of that as well as suggesting features and options that we hadn't thought of.  Ultimately, the cost was at the upper limit of our budget, but the design was very compelling.  As a sanity check, we also got a quote from another large local home improvement builder, and got similar numbers for what we felt was a much inferior design -- basically a prefab Florida room and deck.  The price still feels a bit high, but as a premium for excellent design and quality it seems well worth it.
Actual construction went pretty smoothly and steadily, but seemed slow and meticulous at times.  The two-man crew generally paid careful attention to detail, including the quality of materials, and I was very impressed with their expertise and workmanship.  They accommodated all of my requests along the way, and made sure that everything was done the way we wanted it.  In the end, everything appears to be very well made, using high quality materials, and is backed by strong warranty from a strong company.  We are absolutely delighted with our purchase.

    Morris and Moffitt Inc
Well I don't know what say for the most recent bad review, but we have used Morris and Moffitt for a complete renovation on our Lake home and have been completely satisfied with their work. they do what they say they will do. We have been extremely happy with all of their subcontractors, by the way they are all background checked. We have used them exclusively for the past four years, and being very detailed oriented myself, everything has been completed to my satisfaction, and if there was a problem , addressed immediately. This is a second home for us, and they had made it very easy for us to complete the large scale project via email, texts and pics. As we come up with new projects, Morris and Moffitt is the only call we make because that's how good they are!

First sales call was late. After typical pitch, we decided to do some more homework. Product came highly recommended by friends, and if we didn't like the window constructon so much, we would've gone somewhere else. Their low end window was as pricey as some higher end windows; however, they were the only distributor in our area. After a second, more detailed sales call, we settled on the lower end, without the dual color (it was way more than we were willing to spend). The next day we got a call the manufacturer discontinued the color we picked, so we had to make a second choice. We were not happy, though, again, if we had not believed in the construction of the window so much, we woudl've walked. We were told the windows arrived a day later than promised, so we had to wait another day for installation. They sent their most seasoned team to install, probably because of the hassels we had overcome. They were very good and knew what they were doing. They had to take two days due to the way the previous windows were installed. They had to replace some wood, break aluminum that matched our house on the outside, and caulk both inside and out. They were as neat as they possibly could be, and cleaned up every last nail. We were very pleased with the installers. Other than a few cosmetics which they had to finish as best they could, we were pleased overall. The warranty was also good.

I am very pleased with the work they have done.  I waited a few months to leave the review to make sure all was well.  I had to be away a couple of weeks ago and called and let them know that a door needed some attention.  They came and took care of the situation while I was away.  I am happy with thier work.

Early this spring we decided we wanted to have a sunroom built. We had a concrete patio but couldn't enjoy it as much as we would have liked due to the weather and bugs, so we figured it was time to do something about it.

Our initial contact was with Jody Johnson who came to do the estimate. He looked at our house, asked questions about what we had in mind, and took some measurements. Our house has a large wall of windows so that limited our options on the size of the sunroom and where it could be attached to the house. We actually ended up going with a larger sunroom than we initially anticipated because of those windows, but we are very pleased with how it turned out.

Jody was our main contact throughout the project. After we signed the sales contract, his role changed to project manager. He promised that if we contacted him with any questions, he would respond within 24 hours and he did as promised. Communication is very important in a project like this and Jody provided several means to contact him--via phone, email, or by text. Having different methods of contact was very helpful--sometimes a text was great for a quick question, or a phone call was better when something needed more discussion, or an email if I needed to send a photo. Jody did a great job throughout this whole project!

Their engineer, Harold, came out next to do the detailed measurements. He also answered questions about our options for installing a mini split heating/ac unit (done by a different company) and he located a great woodworker to build us some oak steps, when I was having problems finding someone to build them.

Mark and Danny were the installers. Another person also helped on the first day when they cut back the roof, but I didn't get his name. They did an excellent job with the installation. I spoke with Mark and he said he had been doing this for nearly 20 years and his experience definitely showed!! He took care to make sure everything was sealed well. I appreciated his attention to detail and doing a neat job. I know how easy it is to mess up a caulking job, especially against brick, but Mark's caulking was very neatly done. We have had several heavy rains since then and there have been no leaks whatsoever.

Buschurs uses their own employees to do the installations so this means they are very experienced and do a great job with the installation. The down side is there may be a backlog, especially during the busy months, and you will need to wait before the construction can begin. We signed the contract on May 15th and the room was finished on Aug. 5th (but this also included a two-week delay for a zoning variation we had to request). So if you want a sunroom to enjoy in the summer, it is best to start the process earlier in the year.

This sunroom project turned into a "backyard makeover" and during this process we used 10 different companies. Of these companies, two companies provided outstanding service and Buschurs was one of those two. They did a great job, and we would not hesitate to used them again in the future. We love the new room and have been using it most every day. (And no mosquitoes!!)

Thanks Buschurs for a job well done!

The work went very well.  The concrete people were great. They were neat, thorough, and friendly.  The new patio is perfect.  The Buschers crew who built the actual room were also very good and attentive to detail.  We have a beautiful new sunroom and are completely satisfied with all of the Buschurs employees, including the salesman and plan on using them for any future needs!
