    My roommate and I started hearing noises in the attic at night and upon further inspection found that we had at least 2 raccoons. I contacted at least 9 different raccoon removal service providers and Mark was the only one who got back with my promptly and had the best price. He was very prompt and always very helpful and seemed to have extensive knowledge regarding the issue and what should be done to fix it. He set out a trap and a raccoon was caught in it within a few days. He set out another trap and the other raccoon was caught in another few days. He was able to get up into the attic no problem despite the awkwardness with the attic access. He was able to seal up the vent in the attic that the raccoons were getting in through with no issues. He made the whole thing a simple and easy and painless process for me and I appreciated it very much. Will definitely be using him in the future if I have anymore problems and will recommend him to anyone who has any issues as well.

    I had a problem with snakes hanging around my entry doors and called Barnes Wildlife Control to set some traps to catch and remove them. Tommy was my assigned technician and did a fantastic job. He is very professional, always arrived on time, and explained the process to me. Early one morning I spotted a snake lounging on the sidewalk at my front door. I called immediately and 15 minutes later Tommy was there to remove the critter. Other snakes were caught in one of the traps several days later. He kept me informed on the type of snakes that were removed to assure me that they were not poisonous. There is a service charge to set the traps and a fee to remove the snakes; but for me the cost of the service was worth the results and peace of mind.

    The first words that come to mind for the rodent exclusion and insulation services that we allegedly received are grossly negligent and/or fraudulent. Please continue reading for further details. LACK OF COMMUNICATION WAS CONSISTENT At this point, you should know that we have a fairly large unoccupied home. Based on the price tag alone, we assumed that Orkin would do a first-rate job. WRONG! On insulation removal Day 1, an Orkin team of four literally just showed up at our house at around 3 PM with no notice. We honestly had no idea at all when they were coming and were just about to leave. These pop-up visits continued all week. PROPERTY DAMAGE BEGAN IMMEDIATELY At 4 PM on Day 1, we get a call that a tech has fallen through our ceiling and left a large gaping hole. This first impression did not inspire trust or confidence. We were told that the crew would return the next day, and that the hole would be covered up in the interim. It was not. The crew was no-call/no-show the next day. Below is a more concise summary of everything that happened. Orkin DID NOT: ��� Use plywood or boards to cover attic walking paths so as to avoid falling through the ceiling; ���Remove all of the contaminated insulation; ���Perform exclusion or sanitizing services prior to blowing in the new insulation; ���Take relevant pictures in the empty attic during insulation removal and exclusion services as requested; ���Cover up our new built-in furniture or flooring (which left loose insulation material all over our brand new master bedroom built-ins); ���Reinstall the windows screens they removed (creating new access points); ���Put moved attic access furnishings back into place; or ���Email, call or visit for quality control purposes after the "completion" of the job, and prior to sending us a link to write a review. Orkin DID: ���Damage our attic and ceilings; ���Leave huge black and white bags of contaminated insulation in our driveway for five straight days; ���Cover and damage the motor and vents of our whole house fan system with blow-in insulation; and ���Delay our move-in date because now we have to redo the work and fix the damage caused by Orkin. (Where should we send the bills?) WE WERE CHARGED FOR WORK THAT WAS NOT PERFORMED Although we do not work in the pest control industry, the following seems to be warranted when performing rodent exclusion and attic insulation services: 1. Set rodent traps in the attic prior to the exclusion service; 2. Secure the home's entry points so that no new rodent families can enter; 3. Do not create new entry points during the service; 4. Lay tarps or plastic to protect the customer's furniture and carpet prior to removing attic insulation; 5. Remove 100% of the contaminated attic insulation; 6. Further secure attic entry points while the attic is EMPTY and while you can see everything; 7. Set more rodent traps in the empty attic; 8. Return later to remove carcasses; 9. Thoroughly sanitize the attic; 10. Install new attic insulation in the newly secured and sanitized attic; ANOTHER COMPANY INSPECTED ORKIN���S WORK AND WE HAVE PICTURES On June 26, we had another company come out to inspect the work that Orkin supposedly completed on June 22, and to provide an estimate for doing the work correctly. The estimate read like Orkin was never there! We have used Orkin for many years at our current home and words simply cannot express how disappointed we are that Orkin did not deliver the services as promised at our new home.

    Called Monday, scheduled tech for 8-10 AM Tue. Tech Chris called at 8:30, arrived 8:45. Chris gave an estimate of $160 and explained the process. He suggested staying out of the area for abt an hour after he finished. It took him abt half an hour to spray the nest and remove it completely. Chris said to expect a few hornets to hang around for a couple of days. Exceptional service!!

    They come out 4 times a year. They are due in a month I think. They are an A. They really do a good job at getting rid of them, and it lasts. I mean it works. They are very throughout. They really take their time. They have these long handled dusters and they go into corners. They go up as far as they can reach on the house and they do windows. If someone asked we would recommend them. We will definitely keep using them. They quality is an A. Their responsiveness is good also. We called them when we first moved in and had them. Then in a few weeks later I noticed that we had the tiny sugar ants and called them out. They were coming out of the electrical outlet. It was the tiniest minute itsy bitsy ant. WE called them out and they took care of it. They were here the next day so their responsiveness is very good. They are good when they say they are going to be here they are because we had them spray inside and out. I want them inside too. I think right down the line I would have to give them an A. There is nothing that we have been dissatisfied with at all. They have been a great company to work with. Like I said I would not hesitate to recommend them.

    They didn't show three times. I wrote a bad review and the manager offer to do the service for free to make it up. They came and performed the service twice. The first time was supposed to be free. I'm getting collection letters for a supposedly free service.

    Drew, the technician, completed the job about a month and a half ago, and we have seen no evidence of mice since then. We are more than pleased! Sealing the entry points also stopped our insect problem. We live in the woods and thought we would just have to live with spiders, crickets, etc. But even though the goal was to prevent mice from entering, it has kept the other critters out, too. The price seems fair for all the entry-point repairs, trips to check traps, and sanitizing fogger in three separate attics.

    It went really well they were very helpful. They actually had to come back and came back and took care of the problem, so I was very pleased with them. They charged me more than the big deal price but it was fine because what I needed them to do was not a standard pest control treatment. They had to treat the curb disease so we agreed on a price that included the Angie's List deal and then I gave them a little more to cover the difference between the carpenter bee treatment and what the Angie's deal was so they work with me on it, no problem. The price was fine because they way they treat for carpenter bees is different than the standard pesticide treatment to spray. What they use for carpenter bees is they actually have to go in the hole and treat inside the hole so I know it's a different treatment. It was absolutely fine.
