He did a very professional job. He told me exactly what was going on. He was very quick in doing his procedures but did a fine job. I think this is because he is very proficient. Everything turned out exactly like he predicted. I would use him again in the future.

He is very caring and treats you like you are his only patients.  My husband had cancer and he had to take off part of his lung and he was amazing!  He takes his time with each patient, and his receptionist will call you on the phone to tell

I found him through Angie's List. He is very thorough, very empathetic, and has a very nice manner. I liked him very much. He didn't treat me for anything, but recommended another doctor to do the surgery on my knees. He seemed to think that my knees needed some extra attention.

Dr. Nitz performed the outpatient procedure on April 4 at a surgical center near his office. In addition to treating the frozen shoulder (not invasive surgery but done with general anesthetic), he used athroscopic surgery to clean debris out of the shoulder area. Follow-up appointments were scheduled to monitor recovery. Pain after surgery was much less than expected. The only complaint was that I was not told that a steroid would be implanted to ease post-surgical discomfort (probably a major reason for the lack of pain), but would wear off abruptly after 3 weeks; when it did, I became alarmed that I had somehow reinjured the shoulder and quickly scheduled an appointment with the PA. Overall recuperation was slower than I had been led to believe it would be, but was steady. I went to physical therapy for 10 weeks, and have done prescribed exercises daily. The physical therapy facility is in the same building, and was outstanding in dealing with my rehabilitation. Five months later, the shoulder felt almost normal; I am able to play tennis and do other activities with no difficulty or limitations.

Dr. Donigian asked that I have an x ray done at his main office at Kettering Hospital so that he could truly establish the problem.  He found that I had bone on bone arthritis in one half of my left knee.  He began treating me with steroids which did not really help the pain. He did an outpatient procedure to further assess the problem.  After several months, he gave me an option of a gel treatment which in some cases replaces the lost fluid in the knee and takes care of the problem.  That seemed to work for a short while, but the pain came back.  At that point the only options were to live with the pain or have knee replacement surgery.  He recommended a partial knee replacement as only half of my knee had the problem.  I went ahead with the surgery and just had my 6 week check up.  I am going to physical therapy and although I still have some swelling in my upper knee, I have very little to no pain when I walk.  I would call this a success!

He is the most caring physician I have ever encountered. He explains everything very thoroughly and has "dun-a-way" with my pain! I have referred over 15 people to him, both friends and family and they are very happy as well.

I really love Dr. Nitz, a family member suggested him. I was finally able to get a thorough exam of my knee and help for it. I go back to Dr. Nitz tonight to see what the MRI has shown and what the next step will be for me. He has a great overall bedside manner and was not rushed. He made sure I understood all that was going to be done & waited to see if I had any questions about anything after he completed the exam. He also provided me with wedges to put in my shoes to help with my knee situation until he can resolve my knee issues. He's a very great, personable, knowledgable doctor.

I was pleased with the two visits I had with the doctor. He recommended surgery as an option. He did not pressure me into this decision and at this point, I have not decided to have the surgery or not.
