    We have had some issues with our system. However, the team at Select Security has been nothing but customer service oriented and accommodating in rectifying the issues. They have been very proactive and courteous in making us a priority. They sent their territory manager and a technician to expedite the install today. Both gentlemen were extremely knowledgeable and professional during the process. I would definitely recommend them because from everyone I have talked to from Select Security, they are one of the few out there that make sure their customers are their number one priority.

    Self install, but everything arrived as expected and the customer support was relatively good. Only slight irritation was that the difference between the services offered for $20/month and $35/month monitoring were not well enumerated or explained.

    It sounded too good to be true, but has not disappointed
    After researching the best home security systems, we decided to go with Frontpoint. Where we don't have a landline phone, we liked the idea of using our smartphones to access and monitor the system. Although we were nervous about installing the system ourselves, it was easy and the Frontpoint reps were exceptional at walking us through the process. 
    Our home is close to 100 years old so we wanted extra monitors (i.e., carbon monoxide, smoke/fire, flooding) to alert us to any unexpected issues. Adding extra sensors beyond the $199 deal through Angie's List was easy.

    I have been in contact with Mauricio and Ryan, both of whom made promises that they did not keep.  I still don't have the refund for the last five months that they promised me, and they continue to charge me $42.99 every month.

    I don't usually leave good reviews, but in this case I feel like I should leave a compliment for Dr. Electric's service  and hopefully save some of you the time looking around for someone who isn't going to take advantage of you.  I initially called a "different" company for an estimate because I was continuously blowing a fuse. I was told I needed to replace my fuse box with a new breaker box.  The "other" company (I would tell you the name if I think they would still post this review) initially gave me a price, then wanted to add on extra charges after they got started.  I told them I wanted to hold off due to financial issues, then called around for other prices. 
    I got prices from 3 other companies and decided to go with Dr. Electric.  The first company was VERY overpriced.  The other  estimates were more comparable.  One estimate was a little cheaper, but I went with Dr. Electric because they seemed more professional and knowledgeable.  I am so happy that I went with Dr. Electric!  The electrician was very comfortable and honest, and the best part was not being overcharged.  He was even nice enough to wear shoe covers to keep the carpet clean and give a treat to my dog :)
    I am planning on adding a room addition to my house, and I will definitely be calling Dr. Electric back for this, not only for the price but also because they are trustworthy and comfortable!  Hope this helps & good luck

    We were able to install the system completely on our own.  The problem we ran into was that we have recessed doors and the 2 monitor parts (the part that sticks on the door and the part that sticks on the doorframe) need to be very close together.  However, FrontPoint was very responsive to our problem and gave us suggestions to make it work.  They even sent us extra adhesive to attach the monitors to small pieces of wood in order to raise the monitor off the door and bring it close to the doorframe monitor.  Based on the reviews I'd seen, FrontPoint seemed to be the leader in cost and service.  The only downside is that we had to sign up for 3 years service.  I hate contracts but that's the only way they did it.  I love the fact that everything is wireless and no internet connection is required.  We are satisfied so far.

    With respect to the installation, everything went well with the exception of some minor issues which were handled quickly and professionally.  Specifically, one sensor was not working properly.  A replacement was sent immediately.  There was also a couple of problems with activiating the system but this was resolved with a couple of follow up phone calls.
    On the negative side, the information that came with the doors and windows sensors indicated that there were special instructions for use with double-hung windows.  Although this information is supposed to be available on their website, I have been unable to access it due to apparent server errors.  Also, I have called them and e-mailed them to request that the information be sent to me via e-mail but I did not get any response.

    I was using ADT, it was extremely expensive, and it didn't have web or smart phone features.  FrontPoint was very helpful and I feel much better now that I can use my smart phone to arm my house if I forget when I walk out of the house.  The price is more reasonable, even with the new features.  They dealt with all my questions, and were very kind about it, even though I was really grilling them on the technical perspective of the system.  The only cons are that you have to install the system yourself.  Though this is one layer of security up, because you don't have a person in your home, I really like when  professional installs the system.  They know the sensors are set up correctly.  Activating the system is easy and quick.  You can only activate at certain times of the day (even with longer hours), and I just caught the window, but they didn't rush me.  If you want a monitored system that has a lot of features like web and smart phone communication, FrontPoint is a good solution.

    It was and continues to be a fantastic experience.  The price of the system I chose was less then that of one of thier competitors.  I chose the system that uses a cell signal instead of a landline.  I installed the system myself and it couldn't have been easier.  The phone call to activate it was very helpful and professional.  I love the fact that I didn't have to drill any holes in my walls, doors or windows to have the system.  My favorite feature is being able to arm and disarm the system from an app on my cell phone!  this works perfectly as I travel and have dogs.  So when I leave town, my dog sitter can come and pick up the dogs and then text me that they have them.  I then arm the system remotely with my cell.  I don't have to give my alarm code to anyone nor does anyone have to worry about accidentally setting the alarm off.   I am also able to check the status of the alarm to see what time people have come and gone.  I love it!

    I like that they can do wireless. They have done pretty well over the years. They call me before they call the police. They are fairly responsive. They have been punctual every time I have had a service guy out. I had some problems with the equipment cost for maintenance. I might shop around, but I will continue for now.
