Door Installation reviews in Kent

Wonderful. Sales presentation was professional and non-pushy, We got good advice about what we were planning. Costs were very reasonable for the amount of work done, We were kept up to date on scheduling of services. Owners checked back with us during the project and installers did a great job. Very pleased.

Great! An: example--Four years ago at Thanksgiving our kitchen sink clogged after celebrating with 20 people. Walt came out directly and took care of the problem. And the charge was very reasonable. Even if it hadn't been Thanksgiving.

All went very well! The crews were friendly and professional, cleaned up after themselves, and seem to have done an excellent job (too soon to know if the new windows keep the wind and cold out). I would definitely use the company again.

Hartville Hardware is generally a little higher priced than the big box stores, however, there employees are generally better informed and more friendly.  In this case we wanted a new shower door for a Jacuzzi bath tub that we bought at big blue box store but they only had real cheap ($179 ) or real expensive ($799), with nothing in-between.  Hartivlle offered Cardinal brand out of KY, decent price of $357 and good quality, only took about 10 days for our semi-custom order of Rain Glass and Oil Rubbed Bronze.

We ordered the doors on June 26th. The sales person Ken said he wasn't sure how long it would take for them to be in given the Fourth of July holiday, but it should be around then. We heard nothing, so I sent Ken an email on July 7th to check on the status of our doors. I heard nothing for three days and decided to call instead, I left a message for him with who ever answered the phone to call me. I think it took him 2 more days return the call. To tell me that they should be in next week and I would be getting a call from Todd ( I think) on Monday or Tuesday, So of course it's Wednesday and I have to yet again call in to talk to Todd, he says "yes I was just going to call you" ( I find that hard to believe!) we proceed to schedule the installation of the doors for July 21 st. The installer puts the doors in, two panels on one door have scratches on them, I understand things happen in shipping, they will get 2 new panels and swap them out. Then the installer wanted to finish off the top of door, there was gap of a couple inches, with a 2x4!! My husband had already talked to Ken in the sales stage about using a piece of trex (maintenance free like the doors) so the installer leaves with the doors up, the 2 scratched panels and no trim on either door and an open gap at the top of a couple inches. But the real icing on the cake???? We have not heard a word from Overhead Door!!! The installer originally told us he would be back the same week to finish the trim, he didn't show or call, my husband called talked to Ken, and he acted like he shouldn't have said that at all. He said That they would do it all at the same time, and he would call me in a day or so and give me an update. That was over 3 weeks ago. We joined Angie's list just to write this review!! If you have 6 months and don't expect any customer service then call Overhead Door! If not call anyone else. ,

Radiant Windows sent a crew of 5 installers to my house. They worked very well together and completed the job professionally and efficiently. They completed the work in less time than they estimated. It looks fantastic!

The owner Mark was extremely responsive to my questions and needs. I got quotes for both painting and siding my house. Ohio State Renovations was the best value and had the best reviews. The decision was a no-brainer. Weather permitting, the crew showed up everyday by 8am. They cleaned up each afternoon and were gone by 4pm. The overall quality was excellent and I would recommend their service to anyone. I look forward to using them in the future.

They were wonderful. That was a year ago. The quality of the work and the follow up was very good.  I used them for a 2nd job. The roofing work was about 8000 dollars.  They were punctual. The estimate was spot on. There was no surprised and the work has held up for eight years.

It was that time, looking at the door in the morning you could see light shining through all sides of it.  Hilarious.  When you step on the threshold, oh wait it isn't there because it has rotted away.  It was long overdue to replace this door, and it is way over my head to do so.
That's where Mr. Handyman rocks.  I call them, and they are always courteous, knowledgable, and prompt.  Also their prices blow me away, I feel like I'm getting a great deal every time.  They came out to look at the door, we discussed options, they email a proposal, we pick a day and that's it.
Hello new door, no light leaking, new threshold.  And in the winter, it was noticeably warmer in our garage in the morning.  That's huge.  I will undoubtedly keep calling them again and again.  I've had them out to do work on 4 different occasions and I'll keep calling.  I tell my friends to call them b/c I know they are that good.

The original springs in my folding attic stairs were old and fatigued and the stairs would not close all the way.  The stairs were manufactured by a company that is no longer in business and commercially available replacement springs were not suitable. All I had to do was deliver one of the original springs to Action Door in Stow.  They measured the spring and contacted a spring manufacturer in Toledo.  The custom springs were ready to pick up in about three days.  The cost for the two springs was only twice the cost of commercial replacement springs.  And by replacing the springs, I was able to avoid replacing the stairs.

Though attic stairs are not their regular business, a good spring is a good spring, and I'm grateful to Action Door for helping me out.
