    Bruce Hornbeck Painting
Great. I hired Bruce after being blown off by another painter. I was skeptical at first, but he had good reviews on here so I figured it'd be worth a shot. He came out the day after I called him to do an estimate and it was very affordable. We scheduled a day to paint, but a previous job had run long. He called and informed me of this delay, and that he would get to a stopping point to come out and paint my place the following day. I told him I appreciated the call but to finish that job because I expect him to do the same for my project. He certainly delivered too. Bruce and his assistance Toby showed up on time and ready to paint, there was no delay or messing around. Toby taped while Bruce began to free-hand/edge the crown molding. It was very impressive, he did not splatter paint or make a mess. They finished the job in in 6 hours, which my wife and I did not expect. While they did the job quickly, they left no brush marks, no splattered paint, and no mess. In short, Bruce does and amazing job and is very affordable. He seems intimidating but is very nice and will talk if you want to get to know him, yet is also very business oriented. I felt comfortable with him and his assistant in my home, and am planning on getting him to paint our crown molding down the road.

It worked out very well, They did a great job on it, it got delayed a little a few times but other than I was   pleased to get it done, it was fine but I think somebody that was in an hurry might have been a little frustrated because it kept getting delayed but other than that the work was all very good. Part of it was my fault too because I was installing carpeting in that room also and he wanted me to have the carpet installed first that way he go in and fix any walls scratches and all that kind of stuff. He did seem cordial he told me when things were coming up and that kind of things.
They did a really nice quality job, he gave me ideas, he was very thorough he kept the job very clean, cleaned up after himself but they would have to be patient because his schedule looked very full and he had a lot of things that came up on his end that require rescheduling and so I had moved all my furniture out of my bedroom well not all my furniture it just got moved it was a little bit much longer that I wanted it to be.

We can't imagine anyone doing a better job. The price was fair and we got an all around excellent, professional job. There would be no hesitation in using this company in the future and recommending them to friends and family.

Rhino Painting & Color Consulting LLC
I had Ryan and rhino Painting come out on 2 separate occasions.
First visit I purchased the $199 deal through Angie's List to for 2 painters for 4 hours for $199.  I had them fix numerous drywall spots that needed Spackle and sanded.  They also caulked cracks in my ceilings where the wall met the ceiling.
I was happy with the service so i had them come back and re-paint several areas of the home most of which they spackled the first time.  I was schedule for 3 painters for $900.  They had a cancellation and brought 4.  They were there at 8:30 and had all work done by 3:00..cleanup included.
I was very happy how they operated and quality was excellent.  I was use them again.
I do like the fact it is on the customer to get the paint.  So all you pay for is mainly their labor but they do provide some things like tape, spackle, brushes, pans, etc.

Adam Janis  11/10/2014 Either the 19th or 20th should be fine. The job is basically finishing up some work I had started but have been unable to complete due to time constraints. 8 & 9 foot walls...pretty typical stuff. Mostly trim that I just never got around to finishing up.

    Painting Excellence LLC
Kevin McHugh and another man arrived early on the 27th ready to work. They moved furniture away from the walls, took down pictures and laid down tarps prior to beginning work. They wetted a small section of the walls, prepped the paper with a round toothed tool and then pulled and scrapped the paper off of the wall. In many places the glue had been applied so copiously, the crew had to re-wet that section to scrape the glue away to get down to the wallboard/Sheetrock. Kevin had originally estimated that the job would be complete in an 8 hour day with the two f them working. But due to the length of time it took to thoroughly clear the walls, they were unable to finish in one day. The owner returned on a second day and completed the work in an additional 4 hours. There was no increase in cost due to the extra time it took but was considered covered in the cost of the bid. I also took advantage of a coupon offered by Angie's List for 4 hours at $125.00 for part of the cost of this job. I would recommend Painting Excellence for any job for requiring wallpaper removal no matter what shape your walls are in. The room which I had done is out of square and off plumb. The walls had wallboard sheets which were not taped at the seams, holes had been patched but not sanded and sections of panels were not supported by a stud every 16 inches causing flexing as they pressed on them to take the wallpaper off.

    EMPOWERED PAINTING INC
We are very disappointed with Ryan. The Job was supposed to be done when we got back from our 2 week vacation but we were informed one hour before arriving home (it was an 8 hour drive) that the house still needed some "touching up". It looked like  bomb had gone off, nothing had been protected by tarps and there was dust every where, there is still white paint on our furniture, they set open paint cans on unprotected eating surfaces including our baby's high chair. There were rusted nails left on our stairs for us to step on, they had opened the linen closet so all the dusk could dirty our fresh linens as well, my makeup brushes are saturated in dust and so on. We negotiated a deal where he changes two of the rooms wall colors and a petite half bath as well to make up for his mistake and i asked if he would paint our sun room as well. He said it would take an extra day to complete the initial project and one or two days to do the sun room. THE WORK IS STILL NOT DONE. After living in a hotel with our infant daughter for an additional 7 days after he those "one or two days" for the sun room to be completed we walked him thru the rough edges, the scuff marks, the wall where the old color was showing thru, the trim that no one even tried to paint, the yellow on the white trim and the white on the wall and so on, the list goes on, no really, we wrote a list, 2 actually. He said that we would fix everything and then a couple hours later he packed his things and said he was done even tho he didn't correct ANY of his work. We texted him pictures of the blatant mistakes and he argued, raised his voice, and told my husband that I had been very "hurtful" by pointing out that he had not done his job. I even called him later to apologize that he had felt hurt and that this wasn't personal at all, it was professional. Any way, he said he didn't want to finish the job and cashed the check. Thats right, he never completed the job and then he took our money. I said that he could either complete the work or I would have to write a negative review even tho I really wanted to write a positive one because our wall look great. Its just the detail work and scuff marks that I will have to do myself. When he extended this job finish it after we got home and it wasn't done I added $200 extra dollars to his check so that he knew I appreciated him. He later informed my husband that the $200 wasn't enough and that he had been insulted by it. This was a very negative experience for the whole family.  I really wanted to give Ryan more chances and more money to finish the job but unfortunately neither of those things worked. He initially said he would come fix it in the further whenever he had time but then quickly started to raise his voice and tell my husband that he didn't like me and thus would not fix his mistakes and complete the job that was already paid for. Bizarre.

    Country Painting
I worked with Joe, who was one of the owners. The first thing you notice about Joe is that he is extremely enthusiastic about their business. That was very important to me, because people who have a lot of pride in what they do tend to do a better job. Of the three quotes I recieved, Riley's was the middle quote, but they were still willing to come down on price. They were extremely timely in showing up to do the work, sent extra crews to get the exterior done before it got too cold, and generally did an excellent job on my exterior paint. Joe was frequently on site, personally, to review the work being done. Since I was so happy with the work that Joe's company did on the outside of my home, I hired him in March to paint a large portion of my home's interior. It involved multiple colors as well as wood work touch ups. The craftmanship was, again, excellent. With any large paint job, there will be small details or imperfections that may show up later. Joe told me to look through the house, and if I found any touch ups or imperfections they would come back and fix them free of charge. Although there were few things to fix, he came back today to do a review of the work and schedule the touch up. I've hired him twice and I would hire him again.

    Buckeye Restoration
Rod, was really professional and listened to what I wanted to accomplish. Buckeye Restoration was high quality in every way throughout this whole process. All the workers went above and beyond in helping get my building back into shape. This process took about 2 months but Rods crew were their everyday. Just the over all experience of a fire loss is painful , but having Buckeye Restoration their helped tremendously in getting back to better than normal.  I John Postlewaite would  highly recommend Rod and his crew for any restoration project.

    GREYSTONE INTERIORS
I had originally called Greystone for a small project, and that small project ended up becoming an entire first floor remodel/redecorate.  Pat, Dale, and the rest of their team made the entire project go quickly and efficiently.  They went out of their way to ensure we were without a kitchen for as little time as possible.  Our family was anticipating not having access to the first floor until Christmas time, however we were using the space well before Thanksgiving.  Construction began in September.   Some of the fine tune decorating extended past the holidays, but it was nothing critical and did not detract from the overall beauty of the project.
We were so impressed with Greystone that we hired them to remodel our parents bathroom to make it more handicapped accessible.  That project turned out beautifully as well.  We plan to have Greystone back in this spring and fall to continue our makeover on the house.
