AKousma InsulationWe selected this company from a list of approved insulation contractors as a result of an energy audit done by Columbia Gas. Kousma Insultaion had the best price, even though the estimator found an error in Columbia Gas' measurement of the area of the attic floor resulting in a larger area to insulate. The work was scheduled, and the work crew arrived promptly at the designated time. They explained what they would do and then went about it professionally. Even though the crew was working in the basement, attic, and all around the house, we were able to work around them easily throughout the the three-day duration of the job. The work was completed, except for painting the plugs that were drilled from the exterior of the house and replaced as part of the sidewall insulation (the caulking had to dry), and the addition of insulation to the sidewalls of the attac stairwell (which was initially overlooked). The company came back a week later to complete these two tasks, which were done in a few hours. The company also processed and submitted the applications for rebates to Columbia Gas. The only down side was that a few drilled-out wooden plugs were found around the exterior of the house afterwards. However, this was a minor issue. Overall we were satisfied with the work performed. Of course we won't know how much of an effect this work will have on our gas bill until next winter, but we have every reason to believe that it will make a significant difference.- JOHN H.

ACASUAL COMFORT INSULATIONThis was the second time we've used Casual Comfort Insulation for work on our home which sits on the shores of Lake Erie.....with Sandusky Bay in our back yard. This time we had the siding removed and blown in insulation installed in the walls of the house. Previously the ceiling was insulated with fiberglass blown in insulation. We were so impressed with the work that was done the first time around......we decided to have the rest of the house completed. It has been a few months since the work has been done and we definitely notice the difference in our heating bills......especially with the rough winds and cold temps we endured on the Lake this winter. The owner and crew of Casual Comfort insulation were meticulous in their work and the price was and quot;GREAT!and quot; for the work done. It is very evident that this company does care about their reputation and strives to do excellent work. Thank you for a job well done!- Susan T.

BOur experience was as expected. The install was delayed due to COVID restrictions on importing materials but only by 2 weeks. The crew who installed was very nice and professional. Our only concern was when outside one of the crew members was smoking a lot. Even when using power tools. That seems unsafe to me. They did a nice job in cleaning up as well. Later that day the company called to see how things went. We explained about the smoking but she just said “well in this profession some of the guys do that. We can’t stop them”. The sales person was nice and the person who did the measurements did a good job. We still think the price was a bit high but so were all the estimates. We went with them because of the lifetime warranty. Haven’t had to use it yet. We did not use their financing so we cannot speak to that. Overall it seemed to be a routine job. So far we are pleased.

BVery well only minor complaint is that they could've been more tidy. The guys tracked mud all over my carpet and entryway, some cement specs were dropped randomly in the driveway. Otherwise it was a timely job and I appreciate the urgency.

AA-1 Superior Home Improvement, Travis Workman. We highly recommend this business. All work we required was completed. Our sister’s metal roof was painted ensuring a number of years of use without problems. Our gutters were cleaned and most important out siding was replaced that was damaged by a tree a number of years ago. We had sought out other service providers to repair the siding, but no one ever followed up. Most house siding is 4” but ours is 4 ½”, harder to find. Travis and his wife made calls and search to find siding that would work on our house. While it took a little time, they did not give up. After a number of years of tattered siding, thanks to their efforts, our house siding is renewed.

CThe job was mostly completed. John did not respond to our request to repair loose shakes. We paid upfront for maintenance of roof and gutters. Because he didn't appear after several requests, we hired a gutter cleaner and will hire another maintenance company. We paid a pretty price and resent that he has be AWOl.

FLiberty Home Construction was recommended by my insurance company, Westfield. During one of our many wind storms some of my asphalt shingles fell off my roof. Called Westfield, and in two hours Liberty was at my door. Hank, the adjuster, told me that he will take off a completed shingle to take to the lab to see if the shingles could be matched. That was done about three weeks later, and never heard from Liberty. I called my adjuster on a weekly basis, to ask about the status of my roof, nothing from Hank. Westfield stated that my roof would be completely replaced. Jean from Liberty called and asked when I wanted to have the work done. I received no paper work. I asked the cost and Jean stated around $800. I stated "wow", that is for a complete roof. She said no, and told me that she would get back to me, and never got back to me. A few weeks, later, Westfield told me that they couldn't wait any longer for Hank to contact her or me. She sent me a packet of what was to be done, and a check. Finally, Rich from Liberty left a message on my answering machine. He asked me if I got the paper work, and did I want Liberty to replace my roof. He told me to call Jean. So that is what I did....Jean, had not idea what I was talking about. She placed me on hold to get Hank. He had no answers, he also didn't know who Rich was that called me a few days before. I don't understand why Westfield would recommend this company. Hank told me that he would call me to tell me what was going on with my roof. He never called, so I called him. He told me that it will take weeks to write an estimate. He wasn't very nice on the phone, and kept talking over me. Wow, this is the way that Hanks treats future customers from insurance companies. I'm writing my Westfield to state how disappointing I am with their choice on roofing companies. Westfield is so professional, I can't say that for Liberty Home Construction. I love my home, and I don't have good vibes from Liberty. No WAY will they touch my home.
