I talked with him initially and he advised me he was going to come out and look over everything. After not hearing back from him in 2 weeks, I called him back and left a message. I still have yet to hear from him at all. I have no idea why. This is very unprofessional.

Instead of apologizing and discussing issues they sent letter canceling my contract after 26 years. Would not take responsibility for not blowing off deck, patio, stairs,or not mowing a large part of my yard! They appeared very indignant when I drew attention to their mistakes. Felt like I was taken advantage of.. I won't pay for services not rendered.

Used them for several years, last year they did not plow until someone called. Not what the contract specified. Their phone numbers have been disconnected. Not sure if they are still in business.

we have used Village Lawn Maintenance to plow our large driveway the past two winters and will use them again this winter. They generally have the driveway plowed before we are even awake in the morning. Even with last year's tremendous amount of snow, they kept the driveway clear. There has never been any damage to any of our landscaping plants or hardscapes. They do a really nice job for a reasonable rate. I like that they charge per plow and that if we need them to do an extra because we are having guests or to skip one they are accomodating.

The work, once performed, was always fine.  Given other reviews on the list, I was disappointed that he couldn't give the service more in line with our work schedules as we are medical couriers and need to get out of the drive at the right hour no matter what.  We work odd hours, and I thought we had it understood as to the timing that was needed and that it would work for Ron since we didn't need service on the same schedule as the majority of folks who work a typical 9-5 type day.
I needed to call on many occasions, feeling like I was begging for him to come and plow on time.  He usually did get there in time, although he did miss on a couple of major snowfalls.
My big complaint is that he could never return a phone call, which over time just made me angrier and angrier.  Had he called and at least offered some semblance of regret that he couldn't make it in a timely fashion, I would have been mostly appeased and much more patient with the whole situation.

The first year went well.  The second year did not go as well.  We had three major snowstorms in 2010 and my driveway was not plowed for me to get to work for any of these major snowfalls.  I called them and was told to "just gun it" to get through the drifts.  For two of the three storms, the driveway still was not plowed when I returned home from work and my husband had to shovel the driveway.  The contract states that they would plow for every 2 inches of snowfall and would return as many times as needed during any given storm, but clearly they wait until all the snow has fallen and then remove it in one big push.  This does not work well for those of us who need to be at work at 7:30am.

He does a really good job. It is not a big company and I think that it is just he and his brother and a couple of other guys. He came in a lot cheaper than the other estimates we got. It took him longer because it is a small company, but the quality of the job was really. We think they do a great lawn service for a good price and I would recommend him for any kind of landscaping work.

They are prompt to show up and get the job done, so that is good. On the negative side, their quality and attention to detail are not what I had experienced from my prior snow plow contractor. They don?t take the plow out to the very edges of the driveway, but they get the driveway open though. They said that the contract price was $72 for a month or $18 a push. There have been more than 4 pushes in a month because it is a particularly snowy winter. They were going to send me a contract, and did not; now I have got a bill for per push. It is much more than what the contract price would have been. I have to go back and talk to them about that. I would use them in the future but that would depend on how this contract comes through.

I found his name under snow plowing on Angie's List. I called him on the evening of 1/12/2010. I requested that the snow be plowed prior to 5:00 PM on 1/13/2010. He said ok and when I was there at noon on 1/13/2010 the job was done. I called him and we made arraingements to meet. We met and I paid him $25.00. I thought that it would be a lot more expensive!

Ron Tishma has been plowing our driveway for the past 5 or 6 winters. One of those winters, Ron had equipment problems, so we did not always get our driveway plowed in a timely manner (and we were not notified of the reason for the delays until we called him). Other than that one "glitch," Ron has consistently provided excellent snowplowing for us, and we highly recommend him for that service.
