I am very happy with the service. The basement is finished and looks completely different. Jimmy is a very nice person to work with. He always responses to my email/text message/phone call. He has well prepared contract and invoices that list all the details . The works are done well and they always clean up afterwards. We had an unexpected water leaking problem in the basement and Jimmy helped me find a good waterproofing company that fixed the problem with a reasonable price. Will definitely hire him again !

I personally would not rehire Mark Weinhardt/ Bella Remodeling for any reason. I do advise you perform the needed due diligence prior to engaging into a contract. As with any research this would include searches of county court records for all counties that the contractor operates in (for example Summit and Cuyahoga) as well as local Municipal Courts (for example Stow Municipal Court), online reviews from websites such as the Better Business Bureau and Angies List, as well as a thorough review of references provided by the contractor. We entered into a contract with Mark Weinhardt of Bella Remodeling (previously doing business as Prestige Remodeling as well as Nu Look Remodeling) in July of 2016 to finish our basement. He was to complete one job that was scheduled ahead of us and then begin our basement starting on October 17, 2016. Our job was to be substantially completed approximately 6 weeks later on November 25, 2016. Work did not actually begin until November 7, 2016 due to the previous job taking several weeks longer than Mark originally planned for. He worked mostly partial days at our house and the job started to run well behind the original timeline. We approached Mark on several occasions over the following months in order to try to get the project back on track, but did not see a change in his work habits or pace of work. On February 27, 2017 (17 weeks after the start of the project) Mark removed all of his tools form the worksite and informed us via a text message he would not be finishing the job. We paid 80% of our financial obligation to Mark, for less than 80% of a finished product. The work that Mark left incomplete includes (but is not limited to) completion of the custom bar (which was to include the purchase and installation of the granite countertops), completion of the custom build-ins for the entertainment center, completion of the bathroom (including installation of the shower hardware, purchase and installation of the shower door, purchase and installation of the tile floor, purchase and installation of the toilet and purchase and installation of the vanity), purchase and installation of the drop ceiling, purchase and installation of the stair case rails, casing of the support posts, final paint and removal of debris. Attached are pictures time stamped February 27th 2017 that show status of the basement when Mark informed us he was not going to complete his obligation. We have since been awarded a judgement in our favor against Mark in Stow Municipal Small Claims court for the maximum damages allowed by the court of $6,000. We have attempted to contact Mark several times post judgement, but he has not returned any of our phone calls and we have not collected any of the judgement. Details of the court judgement against Mark Weinhardt can be found on the Stow Municipal website. Stow Municipal website: [*** Link removed ***]

We were first introduced to this company after our basement flooded and they rebuilt it.  It is a finished basement that had mold that was removed, and LMI rebuilt it to what it looked like before.  It looks great.  Then my wife asked them to bid to fix the problems above.  They sent us a quote.  When we sent it back with a down payment, they contacted us to set up a date that they could start the jobs.  They finished them in about a day and a half.  The dryer no longer vents into our garage, and the ceiling looks great.  We are very happy with the job they did.

Very well, it was somewhat sporadic being over the holidays, but the contractors always called first and let me know when they were arriving.  I was amazed at the speed and quality with which they all worked.  They even installed the click together floor for me in the smaller room, and framed/drywalled a kids cubby under the stairs.  Chip Answered all my questions in a timely manner and was communicative about details.

Outstanding work. We spent the past four months renovating our home, which was full of dust. Ray and his team cleaned every square inch including inside every cabinet, along the walls, all light fixtures, baseboards, fans, counters, windows, shelves, surfaces. Because of this company, we were able to officially unpack all of our things and move in! I am a total type A cleaner and would have done the job myself, but it literally would have taken months for me to finish. There was a layer of dust over everything and I'm not sure I even have the equipment necessary to handle that. The team dispersed and each focused on a different space. They were all friendly and professional and fun--laughing and joking. Not sure they were having a great time, but everyone sure seemed like it. Yes, you must budget for this type of service and it wasn't cheap, but I'm a believer in you get what you pay for, and we did. The floors in the unfinished portion of our basement and garage were scrubbed! I'm pretty sure no other company would have gone to that level of detail. Ray is very experienced and knew how to tackle every challenge. On top of that, the house immediately began to smell clean. Before Ray came, we were worried a lot of the windows were shot, but it turns out they were just dirty. I can't even express how clean they were able to get my windows. I thought Ray was joking and that they were really open when he showed me. They also removed all muttons and wiped them down. Total attention to detail. Beyond all of this, Ray helped move a mattress, fix a drawer and a couple of the guys moved a large buffet we couldn't lift. We couldn't appreciate the help more. I feel like we have a brand new home that we can properly maintain. Although I wouldn't be opposed to having Ray and his team out every year for a deep clean if we can swing it :)

My family recently moved from Michigan to Ohio and wanted to make some upgrades and improvements to our new home. The tasks ranged from installing a ceiling fan to finishing a room in our basement. Not knowing anyone, we turned to Angie?s list and found Ohio Home Improvement. My first phone call with Mike (owner) went extremely well. I could tell that not only was I looking for the right contractor but he was looking for the right client. Mike then came to our new home to quote out the engagement. He was very meticulous in his process. The quote itself was one of the most detailed that I had seen. It listed out everything that they were going to do. That way, there are no surprises in the end. Our project manager was Don, a MacGyver of the construction trade. He could solve any problem and perform any task. Don was a joy to work with. He ended each day with: ?Are you happy with our progress.? The team itself was polite and professional. Mike (another Mike) did a fantastic job with our crown molding and Jeremy made strong contributions to the project. I asked them to call me by my first name (instead of sir) which proved to be difficult for them. They were on time every day and cleaned up at the end of each day. They only worked on my engagement. There was no running between jobs. As the job progressed, we added new tasks which was no problem. They even stepped in for us when another contractor (not Ohio Home Improvement) dropped the ball a bit. It got to the point where I felt comfortable leaving them alone in the house. In short, the work was completed on time and on budget. I would highly recommend Ohio Home Improvement to anyone. On a personal note, I really enjoyed working with them. I am even planning out our next project with Mike.

We are disappointed and very angry!  After multiple meetings and an on-site visit to our home, Provider estimated our project at a relatively high (but acceptable) price.  Reviews on Angie?s List and elsewhere were very positive, so we figured that good quality and workmanship would justify a premium price.
Ten weeks into the project and after many project meetings requiring time-off from work (they don?t meet on your schedule, only theirs, and never evenings or weekends!) we were given a final proposal price, which was over 35% higher than the original estimate.  When we questioned the large increase, the Provider explained that he had erroneously included a higher profit margin in the final proposal, adding over $2,000 to the price.  Provider agreed to reduce the final price by this amount and take only the profit that was included in the original estimate.
A week later the Provider informed us that he was dropping our project but keeping our initial payment / design fee.
Considering the 11 weeks lost in the Provider?s lengthy ?process?, and the Provider?s decision (not ours) to quit, we again asked for a refund of our initial payment / design fee.  The Provider refused, claiming that he had completed the design portion of the project and was entitled to keep the design fee.  The completed design documentation (for which we were charged $1,500) contains drawings with incorrect dimensions (countertop dimensions off by more than 3 inches!) and is really of no value to anyone.
Over the years we?ve built major room additions, finished basements, remodeled kitchens and bathrooms, built garages, etc. but this was the most stressful, time-wasting, inefficient construction / remodeling experience we?ve ever had.  Buyer Beware!

It was good. I would not say that I would not use them. I was talking to another contractor and basically felt more comfortable with the other person. He was a good guy with a lot of experience. I'm sure he would have done a great job. I would definitely recommend him to a neighbor or a friend.

The project went extremely smooth. The quote was higher than two others we received but it was the most detailed offering good, better and best options. It was very difficult to compare apples to apples as the others were not very specific about what is included. During the design phase Anthony spent a lot of time on the design and getting it just right. He had some great ideas! Then Lee managed the project execution which went exactly according to schedule, to the day. The various crews were all professional and extremely neat. There were no big surprises or cost adders along the way. Any questions or problems that we had were addressed right away. We are very pleased with the outcome and really appreciated the up front quoting and design process. This is a very well run company.
