No more mold and the source of the mold an incorrectly venting bathroom exhaust was rerouted correctly through a goose neck vent via the roof.

    Robert got in touch with me as soon as my original review showed up yesterday, and showed me that he sent a response within a couple of days of the original request for quote. He did his best to get me back as a customer, and show that he did provide what we agreed on, at the right time. Not sure where that original email went, but probably went into my spam folder while I was on vacation. We're good now, so please ignore my "D" review from January 15. (My word of advice is to always follow up a quotation with a quick phone call if you don't hear back from a customer. That prevents email issues like this from turning into problems.)

    I am extremely disappointed in Airguard's inability to keep information straight. Robert came out to my house to look at some mold in my bathroom and to give an estimate for its removal, along with the installation of a bathroom fan/light unit. I was given a quote and accepted. Soon after, in an e-mail to Robert, I asked him if a unit would be provided or if I had to supply one myself since things were not clear. He told me I would have to purchase one. No problem there. I made my purchase and waited for the install date. The day of the service, they screwed up my time with another customer. We had to reschedule, but I was the one who had to call to ask what was going on when nobody had shown up or even called after over 30 minutes. On the day of the reschedule, one of Robert's contractors came to install the unit that THEY had brought with them. My wife was home for the appointment, so she had to call me at work so I could talk to the guy and figure out what was going on. Long story short, the guy that came was told by his boss (Robert? I'm not sure) that they were to install their own unit, and that they were not told to do any drywall work. Robert confirmed to me in an e-mail that they would be installing MY unit and going through the ceiling and attic, and out through the roof for the ventilation. When I explained this to the guy that came, he had no idea what I was talking about despite the fact that I had a written quote and e-mails from Robert confirming what would be done. I don't blame the person who came to do the job, as he was just doing what he was told by his boss. Unfortunately, he was given incredibly wrong information. I told him to cancel the service. I was really looking forward to having this done, and now I need to find another company to do the job.

    After finding black mold on an indoor wall of a second floor bedroom closet, I hired Rick Nesselhauf to determine the type of mold and the cause of the mold. He used a moisture meter placed against the wall in that closet, the wall directly below it on the second floor interior as well as interior walls in  the basement .  He said he did not find any moisture. He took no samples. He did no testing of the air quality. He did not inspect the attic or roof. H e could not tell me if or where any water was coming from. 
    His conclusion was that a camera tripod and 2 hiking poles that were stored in that closet must have carried mold spores into the closet and that was the origin.  His advice was to clean the walls with Clorox water. I did so.
    In January 2015, (two years later) I found mold again in that closet 10 times worse than it was originally plus more on the wall in an adjoining bedroom closet. (different wall) There were also water marks on the paint of those walls.
    I have since found moisture meters available at my local Ace Hardware Store similar to what he used for approximately $25 . 
    His 'misdiagnosis' caused the problem to get much worse and caused more damage to my home.

    I called PuroClean twice last week and was told both times that someone would call me back within five minutes. No one ever called. In most cases, this wouldn't be such a big deal but we had flooding the week before in the basement and needed someone right away. Even if they were too busy to respond, the receptionist should have said something.

    I called PuroClean on a Thursday afternoon, and Gary was out to my house the very next morning.  He came down to our basement to inspect some discoloration on some walls in a corner that my wife and I noticed after we suffered a minor flood.  
    Gary took out the tools and started taking readings, all while taking the time to explain to me what everything meant.  After discovering moisture behind our wall and some minor mold, we went outside to look at how the water could be getting behind the wall.  Gary found the problem immediately, and explained to me what I could do myself in order to save a significant amount of money and prevent further water flow behind that wall.  He also told me what I could purchase at the hardware store to safely remove the minor mold shown on the wall's surface as well.  The best part was, for the moisture readings and the advice he gave me, I was charged nothing at all.
    My wife and I are new homeowners, so we are still discovering the world of home-maintenance and repair.  After having a few companies come to our house for various projects throughout the past year, I can easily say that PuroClean is right there at the top of the list in terms of professionalism, friendliness, and knowledge.  The free estimate and advice certainly doesn't hurt either!  Hopefully we won't be in a position where we need to, but should we have any mold damage in the future, I would absolutely not hesitate to call PuroClean again.

    Did not go well. The owner only showed up to test and bid the job and showed up for the first day when the work started to get paid. His employees were nice enough guys but created a huge mess, especially when the air duct cleaning was performed. A second crew had to come back out clean up after the first. After they had kicked up a huge mess from the air duct cleaning I asked for a second mold test and was instructed I would have to pay to retest. After paying for the re-test it took nearly a month to get the mold test information back.

    My main contact was Anthony Jakupca, and he was uniformly promp and accurate in all respects. Work began on time, was completed early, and on budget. It was an interactive process, and they came to me with questions when any decisions needed to be made. The different trades were all very professional and meticulous, and the quality was uniformly excellent. I would recommend the company to anyone, and plan to use them again when the need arises.

    HE REMOVED THE MOLD IN ABOUT 3 DAYS. THEY HAD TO MOVE 30 YEARS OF THINGS IN THE ATTIC AND PUT IT IN THE GARAGE. HE SUGGESTED THAT WE SEAL THE WALLS IN THE BASEMENT. HE WILL BE DOING THAT IN THE FUTURE. THE PERSON IN CHARGE IS GILL GOTLIEB.
