    The worst example of sleezy is that I had a problem with the wireless router that I had purchased and when the problem was discovered they offered me one of theirs for free. I accepted and was happy with the situation until about two years later when noticed that had decided to charge me for the router. Approximately $7 per month for my FREE router that if I purchased it would cost me ~$50. You have to call them and threaten to quit Windstream to get these little charges removed!

    Our service that I paid for was not delivered at the time so we have constant internet outages daily internet problems. They could staff their calls to let people actually know that they are talking to occasionally. They are usually professional but they are not knowledgeable in their own field so.

    I was sent this email and asked to rate this internet provider. It's service has been unreliable, its customer support personnel, while well trained, obviously have systems that aren't able to accurately to troubleshoot local connection problems. Repeated outages and long waits on both tech support and billing line calls (in excess of 15 minutes, sometimes in excess of a half hour to get a person.) Always the assumption is that the problem is the modem or the router or a connection, but this is never the case. Problems mysteriously fix themselves hours or days later without any connection to what they ask you to do on the phone. I can not tell you how many calls I have made to this company but I can say it has meant hundreds of wasted hours over several years. I can not state more adamantly that I would not recommend this company as an internet service provider to anyone in our neighborhood, and in fact am now willing to pay a premium to obtain service from another company.

    I don't hate it. I would certainly recommend it to others. I think it is a better package. We had the satellite going off especially when it rains and when there is a bad weather. I also have a traditional cable running up to each of my room and hooked it up to my TV. The quality of signal reception is good when the weather is good.

    We haven't had any problems with them at all. We only have internet with them and not phone or cable. I work from home and the internet is reliable. It has been good so far.
