Lawnmower hero! Saved my Craftsman Rider Mower from the scrap yard for a few more years. Over 15 yrs old it stopped moving last fall. Mr. Scott arrived on my doorstep and found the problem right away, a half melted off pulley so the belt was just sliding around. He replaced the pulley with a new one he brought and hooked up the 2 belts i bought. My blades were warped and gouged out and he replaced those with ones he had on hand. Changed the oil, oil filter and fuel filter and plugged the flat tire that had a shiny nail in it for 3 years. This guy is efficient, professional and prices for the "stuff" was very reasonable.

Responsive and convenient because he comes to your residence. There was some snag with an Angie's List software conversion so he wasn't getting notified of request for service (after I'd paid) but this was easily resolved. Appointment was set up a couple weeks out and he was punctual and performed the service I expected.

    1. I was told the reason it wouldn't hold a charge was the wires were not securely fastened to the battery. WRONG. I had loosened the connections because I was manually charging the battery  prior to repair, and knowing they would be working on it, I didn't tighten them on the way to the shop. Apparently adjusting a belt during tune up corrected the problem. A new problem after it was returned was that the blades kept disengaging, even if I was holding the stop up. They apparently broke this.
    2. When the trimmer was returned, the person dropping it off attempted to demonstrate its operation. He had trouble starting it, and it ran rough. When I attempted to use it a couple days later, I had the same issues keeping the motor alive. When I squeezed the lever to start cutting, the motor stalled EVERY TIME. I am having to get it fixed at a different shop. A friend told me this is a simple adjustment to the carburetor.
    3. I was told the mower was completely ruined because the "pulley" was bent and they couldn't remove it to replace it. It took 3 weeks to get the mower back because
    a. they hadn't started working on it yet, and seemingly wouldn't have if I didn't keep calling
    b. they couldn't work on it yet because they'd just fired all their mechanics for stealing
    c. it was unfixable.
When the mower was returned, there was a charge for a new battery. I told the delivery person that I had a problem with the bill. He said he wouldn't wait long enough for me to make a phone call to clarify the charge and he left. The phone call lasted 2 minutes max, and he had to come back. Terrible customer service.
I disputed the charge for the new battery since I had never given permission for one to be installed. I had just purchased one and used it 4 times, so I had no reason to replace it. They insisted I had to pay for it and I couldn't get my old battery back as it had been sent to the recycler. I finally agreed just to get the mower back.
I had the mower taken to a different shop and they quickly diagnosed a broken rod. Expensive to fix, but absolutely salvageable.
Lastly, it sounds like this business is run from someone's living room, with an associated level of professionalism.
One more thing. When they picked the mower up, they ran over and completely smashed 2 solar lights at the end of the driveway. When they drove away after delivering the trimmer, they flattened the last one. I'm pretty sure they were aware it happened, because they pulled forward and back to redirect the car, but no apology or offer of compensation was given.

I took advantage of the free pick-up and delivery of my lawn mower, with a winter tune-up.  The lawn mower was picked up as scheduled and the work was completed in a timely manner.  They called when they were ready to deliver.  Because I am often not home during the hours that they deliver (and I was going to have them leave it in a fenced yard), they called back to deliver as soon as the snow melted.  They made having the lawnmower served an easy, stress-free process.  I've used the mower once since they delivered it and it worked wonderfully.

It went very well.  It is pretty much exactly as advertised.  They came, fixed it up and they were on time.  They delivered on time.  The work was done properly and they were pretty easy to deal with.

Took a mower here for a tune up and repair. I have always taken any mower I've had to Como. Family owned and a Columbus staple for many years, you will get quality service and value that is undeniable. Reasonably priced and quick turnaround, Como will keep your equipment in top condition and not break your budget. Highly recommended.

We just walked into the shop, so no scheduling was necessary. The technicians were professional. They did the maintenance on the snow blower and it started up just fine at the shop but we haven’t used it since. However, the location was far away from my home.

I called Aydler on a week night after the cable broke on my mower.  I received a call back within 24 hours and was able to schedule the appointment during that call.  He had to order a part, but he arrived as promised and fixed the mower in his van outside my house.  He called to let me know he was on his way and then completed the repair within 20 minutes.  He was very nice and did a great job.  I will definitely use him in the future.

I called them about an hour before their closing time. When I told Thomas (the service manager) that I could be there in 10 minutes, and would like to get the blades changed so I could mow my lawn this evening, he told me to come on in. He met me at the door, we unloaded the mower, and I went inside to fill out the paperwork. When I returned to the service area, the blades were off and sharpened. I gave the technician the new blades and he installed them. I went back to the service manager, paid the bill, and was out of there in 15 minutes total time. All of the technicians were busy when I arrived, but Thomas had one of them take care of my mower right away. I was very impressed with his concern for helping me out, the promptness in completing the work, and their help in unloading and loading the mower in my van. Great service; polite personnel; good place to do business.

Awesome, so convenient to have him come to the house, and after work hours at that.  He only does this business part time evenings and weekends so his schedule is a little full but he's worth the wait.
He came back a few weeks later to change the fuel filter at no charge.  He doesn't want to 'throw parts at a problem" unnecessarily. Basically he's careful with his customers' money.
    Great business to work with.
