    Sales process was good, courteous and helpful. Installation instructions were easy to follow. Did have a small issue with one sensor which was easily solved with a call. Control panel is easy to use and well constructed. Phone app is the best part. Not a big fan of a 2 year contract and the monthly rate feels a little high, but definitely a decent system. I had emailed them a question pertaining installing on double hung windows and never received a reply, but other than that their phone support prior to that was good.

    It was very easy to make the call and set-up an account.  The person on the phone was knowledgeable and didn't try to upsell me things that I don't need.  Equipment arrived as promised, phone call to set everything up - about 30 minutes.  The system has been working fine so far.  I like to be able to use my iphone to alarm and disarm the house.

    My alarm system indicated that two door batteries were low at the same time.  I called Monitronics for technical support.  It took 6 phone calls and then finally a service call to resolve the problem.  The technical support staff on the phones had many theories about what was wrong with the alarm, which included having me replace a $40 battery (which turned out to not be the problem).  After 6 phone calls (and hours on the phone waiting for my turning he queue), a technician was finally sent to my house.  The technician who came to the house was able to quickly diagnose and correct the problem.

    First, the sales folks completely oversold their system. We wanted some cameras and NONE were able to connect because of wireless distance issues. Second, they then installed a number of smoke detectors, CO2, and glass breakage detectors throughout the house. The two controllers had significant difficulty communicating with one another. Since we both work long hours, it was hard to find a window (or several windows) that they could come to service the system. Third, when one of the glass breakage systems became inop, they could never (or were really unwilling) to find a window to service it. We eventually disconnected it ... to which they appear to NOT have a record in a subsequent service issue! The fact that they do not have record of this is disturbing since they had to walk us through the disconnection process. Finally, we had a door open detection problem while we were out of town. The service folks were rude (extremely rude) to our house sitter such that she would rather manually ignore the open-door alarm than have these folks service it. Upon our upcoming return we will completely discard this system in favor of another. Bottom Line: AVOID Guardian Protection Service at all cost!

    We had an additional system put in (we signed a new contract with ADT when we moved to our new home in March, 2013).  The additional system was put in on a Friday.  We were out of town for the weekend for the holiday.  On Monday, i noticed our door sensors were not chirping when we open/closed the doors.  We called them Monday evening.  That was over a week ago.  The best part, the called a number not connected to our account to report that the system had a failure, on Saturday!  
    The day they were scheduled to come out to repair the system, they said they were there but that no one answered.  There was someone at the house all day.  We rescheduled and were told they were to come out 12-5.   When we called to check on the status, we were told that they would not be able to come back out until the 15th.   So, we are now working on a week and a half with no security system.  So, what is the point of the system?!  Especially when they call someone else to tell THEM that our security system has failed?

    Recently set up service with ADT n DO NOT recommend anyone to use. I
    was offered $28.99 a month by email the day they were installing the
    security system & then tried to over charge me $48.36 a mo. So I
    call them to request the $28.99 price the following day on Oct. 1st
    & they were able to over ride the bill and offer the special &
    once bill came out of account they did not follow thru n over charged
    me. N they record all calls but can't listen to them. So canceling them n
    then want to pull that contract crap. I WILL BE DISPUTING ANY & ALL
    CANCELATION FEES a $1075 what A JOKE. BRING IT ON ADT I WILL DO WHAT
    EVER IS NECESSARY TO MAKE SURE U DO NOT GET A PENNY OUT OF ME AND WILL
    POST DAILY HOW POOR YOUR SERVICE IS

    Koorsen Fire & Security
    Initially all went well.  I called Koorsen to get a job estimate to repair a leaking fire water line.  I received a phone about the problem and then received an e-mail, in sentence form, of a job estimate of approximately $302.  I approved the repair and Koorsen went to my commercial building to repair.  The next day I inspected Koorsen's work.  The leak was better but still leaking.  I contacted Koorsen and they came out promptly and completed the work.  I was a happy customer until I received the invoices.  In addition to the agreed repair cost of $302 they charged me $275 just for a job estimate.  No work was performed during the first visit to my building to assess the problem and I was not informed I would be charged for a "service call" when I requested a job estimate.  I sent the Columbus area manager a complaint by e-mail of which he did not reply.  I would have recommended Koorsen if it had not been for the bad buisiness practice of charging for a job estimate and not informing me they would charge for the job estimate.  As a result, Koorsen is requiring me to pay the $275 for a job estimate for a $302 repair.  Outrageous!  I cannot recommend Koorsen.  Find another Angies list contractor for your fire and security needs.
