    Liquid Color
I highly, highly recommend James and his team at Liquid Color. We bought our house and soon realized that someone did a quick paint job to sell. While its looked good for a bit, it wasnt long until the paint started to peel off much of the doors and trim. It was such a mess! We tried sanding ourselves and planned to do the painting, but it became way too much. James came and saved the day! He went above and beyond by putting oil primer and Sherwin Williams Proclassic to ensure adhesion. The trim now looks like glass because he uses an amazing sprayer. He also painted a few rooms in our house to perfection. I consider myself very picky (really overly so). James made absolutely sure that everything was done right down to the smallest detail. He went above and beyond what I was even quoted to do the job right. We are so thankful to no longer deal with peeling paint. There are a couple more rooms we plan to have done and will be calling James! We are customers for life!!

    Newman Roofing
After a bad experience with a large roofing company in Columbus, I was looking for a company with an excellent reputation and Newman was recommended. And they didnt disappoint. No high pressure sales, great customer service, and attention to detail. Replaced the roof in one day and cleaned up after themselves. And our roof looks great! Very professionally done and the price was reasonable. Would definitely recommend!

    Creative Finishes Painting
It started off rocky but ended up good. Our house was in dire need of wood replacement and painting so we were very motivated to get the work done. Nate was early for the designated appointment time to give me a quote which was awesome, he gave me a great quote for the painting but the bump in the road was the gutter quote. Nate recommended a new gutter but the short of the long is that the gutter person he uses was unavailable, and then the next gutter person was unavailable. A couple of weeks went by before they sent Dave from their company to the house to replace wood, remove the gutter and rehang the original gutter. Once Dave completed the work it was smooth sailing. Bottom line Jason and his crew did a great job and the paint/caulk looks great for being put on top of such old wood. The star of the show was Ashley, I don't know what her overall role in the company is but if she was not involved in keeping me posted on the behind the scenes of trying to schedule gutter companies as well as scheduling of the painting/wood replacement I would have probably gone elsewhere. Kudos Ashley!

    Ascent Roofing Solutions
I cant say enough good things about Ascent Roofing. Replacing a roof can be a daunting process for a homeowner and it was important to me to hire a company that would walk us through the process with open lines of communication. With Ascent Roofing, we got that and so much more. From the initial (very detailed) estimate, to the time spent talking to us, going up into the attic and onto the roof, I got the feeling that Steve was not going to start this job without a thorough knowledge of every square inch of our roof. When problem areas (leak into garage) were pointed out to him, he dropped everything to go up into the garage portion of our attic (twice) as well. Ironically, Ascent Roofing was the only company we got estimates from who physically went into the attic, let alone the garage portion of our attic. I find that amazing! After our deposit was paid, it was time to choose colors for shingles. I had a terrible time with this but Steve was there once again helping me through the process sending me several addresses of houses with the shingle colors that I was interested in seeing. After viewing several houses and it still not helping me, Steve was kind enough, at my request, to drop by a couple sample shingles of the colors I requested. This was such a huge help to me and Im sure so inconvenient for him but he did it anyway. The customer service of this company is first rate!!! Once the shingle decision was finally made, it was less than 2 wks before we were scheduled. The morning work was to begin, our doorbell rang exactly when we were told to expect the crew. Everyone was very polite. About halfway through the day, when I was thinking to myself itd be nice to have an update, my doorbell rang again. It was Steve giving me an update w/o me having to ask. Work was pretty much completed in one day with a return trip the following day for finishing touches. The yard, driveway and even out into the street was thoroughly cleaned up, making sure no nails were left behind. Steves attention to detail gave me peace of mind that such a big job was in very competent hands. After just a few conversations with Steve, and witnessing his work, I could tell immediately that this company truly does do business by their core values of God, family, dedication, loyalty, trust and hard work. It is so evident and so refreshing! A company like this is hard to come by these days. Thank you Ascent Roofing!

    Wonderwall Painting, LLC
I usually do this kind of work myself but was unable to this time. The crew were steady workers, cared about the finished product, and wanted us to be pleased. Best of all, when asked about a minor touch up, Doug took care of it himself. He scheduled us in on short notice before an event at our home, which was much appreciated by me (the one with the broken arm.)

    Got A Guy LLC
Ryan and Jason arrived on time, were courteous, and professional. They removed our old cabinets and flooring and disposed of it the same day and without a mess! They made sure to clean up after each work day and you would never know a renovation was taking place in my house. They even made suggestions for some minor things I hadn't thought to do that I gladly agreed to, and the finished work looks fabulous. I can't say enough about how great this experience was. Communication was good all throughout the job and they had it finished in only 4 days! I will definitely use Got A Guy, LLC for other projects in my house and highly recommend this contractor. Price-wise, I don't think anyone can beat Got A Guy, LLC. Very reasonable and high quality work.

Rhino Painting & Color Consulting LLC
I hired the team at Rhino painting to paint the interior of my house. I was anxious about this but they put we right at ease. They had 2 guys and 1 woman paint my house and they did an excellent job., Derrick the manager came every day to check how things were going and was very accommodating to my requests and needs. I couldn't be more happy with their work. I give them an A+ rating

Rhino Painting & Color Consulting LLC
Ryan was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout the process and their customer service is absolutely top notch. They came out to see the space, sent me a quote the next day and were able to schedule the following week. The painting was done quickly and looks fantastic. I'll be hiring them again soon to do some additional painting in bedrooms and bathroom. I highly recommend Rhino Painting!

    BELFOR USA
Belfor batted clean-up after a broken water pipe was fixed by Eco Plumbers (see separate review) and water damage/mold remediation was done by Restoration 1 (see separate review). Belfor assigned a site supervisor to the job who handled the carpet order and installation as well as the dry walling and painting. There was a minor problem with the carpet laying crew missing a few spots in terms of stretching the carpet the whole way to the wall, which the site supervisor quickly remedied by bringing another crew back out immediately. The painters who were subcontracted by Restoration 1 did a fabulous job and also are reviewed separately (RCI Painting).

    Rising Height Unlimited
Working with Rising Height was the absolute worst professional experience I've ever encountered. Work we wanted done: tape and mud previously hung drywall, install 5 canned lights on existing 4-way switch, install drop ceiling, and trim out the space. We were also quoted for painting the approximately 200 sq ft space. At the time of the quote (in July) the owner said his crew could start the work within the next two weeks and predicted a one-week job. I know construction projects ALWAYS take longer than expected. Getting all the work done took 6 weeks, not 1. Part of the problem stemmed from an incomplete quote, which was our fault for missing that Rising Height didn't quote the trim install that we requested. So comparing his quote to others was apples to oranges. We opted out of having Rising Height do the painting. We signed and were promised work would begin in early August. The first project that needed completed was taping and mudding the drywall we had hung. The drywall guy was amazing, showed up on time, and came on a Sunday to complete the work that took a little longer than expected. Once the drywall work was complete, we had to call and call Rising Height to get the next crew out: lights and drop ceiling. It was supposed to be a 2-day job. We were met with sob story after sob story. This guy was in the hospital, that guy didn't show up. We were never given advanced notice of no-shows so missed several days of work waiting on a crew to never show up . Once we finally did have a crew show up, they decided that a portion of the ceiling that they were to install should have been drywalled and had to improvise to install a drop ceiling there. (That would have been nice to know when work was quoted, and we could have hung some drywall to be included in the mudding process.) We ended up installing the trim ourselves once we discovered it was not on the quote and needed the project DONE. After two weeks (not two days) of crews working off and on in our basement, the job was finally done. I wish I could say that the drop ceiling looks amazing, but many of the ceiling tiles have nicks or were cut poorly. (I acknowledge that it is an odd-shaped space, which made some cuts difficult.) They didn't have enough tiles to finish the job and we have mismatched tiles in the ceiling. Rising Height promised to deliver a few extra tiles (they have boxes in their warehouse!) to fix the mismatch, but so far, every appointment to deliver the tiles has been missed. When it came time to pay, there was a 20% fee added to the quote and not explained. We also payed an agreed upon with a 3% charge to pay by credit card. We decided to buy ourselves some ceiling tiles and wash our hands of this company. If their drywall guy worked as an independent contractor, I would totally hire him again if we needed drywall work done. He was the only positive in a long, painful experience.
