Reasons Why Your Garage Door Opens By Itself

Home And Garage Organizing reviews in Hilliard

That was kind of odd. They cleaned my garage, yes they did, they washed the floor and things like that but they really didn’t organize it. I have some shelving units there, I thought they were going to take things off, clean the shelves, put the things the things back, that sort of thing, they did not do that. They basically power washed the floor. They did move my trashcans out and cleaned anything around the edge of the garage and they cleaned that. It might have been a complete misunderstanding. They did what they were supposed to do. They offered to power wash my sidewalk for another $100 but I was said no.

I purchased an AL big deal.  $199 for $500 in custom glide out shelving.  Prior to purchasing I was aware that each cabinet could cost approximately $500 so I was prepared for the high price.  We have a Dominion built home with the typical cabinets that have the stiles (piece of wood between cabinet doors). The design makes getting pots and pans in and out cumbersome at best.  I saw this product displayed at the home and garden show last year.  However, I also thought we would have remodeled by now. Since it will be a few years before remodeling, I was willing to spend some money to make at least one cabinet more functional for the next few years - especially since a big deal was offered.  My cabinet is a very standard size, not large by any standard. However, the cost still exceeded $500. I had to pay an additional $138.91 over and above the big deal. Part of the additional cost was the stile removal.  There is a significant cost for stile removal.  It's not itemized on my receipt, but it's in the range of $125 per cabinet.  In order to keep the cost down I had to choose the lowest quality and least nice looking drawers with no upgrades.  The glide on the cheapest option is built in China.  The other drawer options are much nicer with a much nicer glide and the warranty is longer.  However, since I will be remodeling in 3-5 years, I couldn't justify the additional price.
I was hoping the experience would be so blissful that I might be able to avoid purchasing custom cabinets for my remodel and then could possibly use this company for a more standard cabinet build. However, the cost is so high that it's better to have the cabinets custom built with all of the bells and whistles.
This is a good option if you plan on keeping your current cabinets for a long time and don't mind spending thousands of dollars. However, finding someone to remove the stiles in the same manner as this company would make me just as blissfully happy and would make all of the cabinets much more useful.  Much of the problem, in terms of the usefulness of the cabinet is the that the stile is in the way of everything.
The drawers are nice, but seem to be very, very expensive for what you are getting. I'm most surprised by the cost of the stile removal and was told that it could take about an hour per cabinet. The total amount of install time including stile removal on my project was 45 minutes.
I'd recommend this company but be aware it is a very costly upgrade for the amount of labor it takes to install and the product you receive.

    Honey Like Love
Well, we exchanged a few messages back and forth. She asked me what I wanted to have done and I wrote that with 3 hours time, I expected my whole house organized. Well, that should have been my first clue because she sent me a message back that she needed to talk to me. She wanted to know what my main areas of concern were and I again told her, 3 hours was a large amount of time and that I wanted my whole house done, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom and garage. Well, she said we will do what we can do. All along she was very polite, friendly and professional. Well, she arrived late but had called to let me know, which I thought was great. She had brought along a friend to help her. The friend was not part of her company which I thought was strange. Well, now I can see why she thought 3 hours was not enough time (even with a helper). Let me just say that after 2 hours, I told her okay, we are done. I have employed other organizers previously so I know how this works and what can be done in a given amount of time. I have had other organizers do way more in less time. She was very nice but I think maybe she should stick with closets. She took some items that I no longer needed and donated them and mailed me a receipt for my taxes inside of a very nice thank you note. So, again, I give her an A for being nice and professional, but a D on talent and ability. I would not hire her again.

With a big work project coming up, I needed to clean out my home office, which was unusable.  It had become a repository of stray objects, papers, memorabilia, books, files, paperwork, boxes, mail, etc.  Piles of stuf everywhere! I had been working at the kitchen table since I couldn't use my own desk anymore.
Ellen showed up and with in four hours, I had a tidy, rearranged, usable office.  My files had been cleaned out and reorganzied.  The floor was nearly clear of boxes.  My desk now had room for my computer and necessary papers. My bookcase shelves were recategorized.  I actually enjoyed the process.  I'm not good at this type of thing.  Alone, I know that I would have worked for an hour, become overwhelmed, and given up.  With Ellen there, she took charge and assigned me various tasks.  We worked together and made visitble progress.  Rather than get overwhelmed by the project, I was able to stay focused and just keep plugging away until the job was done.
Ellen also has recommendations for items that actually work to help with organization.  I've tried to buy such items before but they often end up being more trouble than they are worth, or they don't actually help me.  She only suggests items that meet her standards for usability.

It was a simple remodel job and we got other quotes as well. Overall, theirs was a fair estimate, but it wasn't the best price so we decided not to use them. They were on the higher end of the spectrum. When they came out, they were very professional. We didn't have any ill feelings about that. We could tell that they were qualified and knew what they needed to do. The price was a little high in my regard. They were responsive. They called me right back and kept in correspondence. They were punctual.

We had one little mix-up on the scheduling, but that was my fault. They came right out when they said they would and did the estimate. They were very professional. I showed them everything I wanted to do and they answered all my questions.

She helped us to reorganize the entire middle level of our house which was a disaster. It is a different kind of disaster now because they are re doing the floors. She was great. I have also attended a class at the community center, where they taught, on organizing people work. She has a very good insight into how people function and dysfunction. She is very, very willing to look at people who are slightly different, understand how they function and propose different solutions from the standard length. She has very flexible time schedules and work arrangements. She has very good results. After working with us a bit and getting an idea as to what we liked, she went on a shopping trip and came back with a bunch of storage types for us to try. We would never have found some of them. They were perfect for us. She charges $60 and hour. However, she gives a discount if we purchase more than 4 hours in a chunk. She is competitive with other people in that particular business. I think, with her, we get more for the money we pay. She is very punctual. I am not punctual. She was very good and patient with me once.

Dave came out and gave us an estimate that included drawings of what each wall would look like and after talking to a couple of other companies, we decided to have Dave do the work. He came out on the day we agreed and was completed quicker than we expected. He did an excellent job cleaning up each day, and making suggestions as we went along to make sure our space worked for us. He had lots of ideas and wasn't just installing a boilerplate system. It's a pleasure each day to pull into the garage and have everything in it's place.

My experience with ''Room For Change'' was wonderful!! My husband and I live in German Village and have very limited storage space, and Emmie Cheses has provided excellent solutions, and was able to give us additional space for the future. She was not only professional, extremely qualified, but a pleasure to work with, and all with a very reasonable fee! The transformation was amazing, and we are thrilled with the service and plan to use ''Room For Change'' in the future.
