    My daughter is from Northeast Ohio and was visiting us (her folks) in Hilliard when she came down with a hemiplegic migraine which is a condition she was diagnosed with about 10 years ago.  She also has Werners Aphasis.  Both of these are confirmed diagnoses by a neurologist.  Her neurologist in Canton subscribed numerous medications including Demerol 100 injection which is the only thing that she can take for these episodes.  Unfortunately, she forgot this when packing.  As as result she needed emergency care and was transported to Dublin Methodist by paramedics for treatment where she was assigned to Dr. Ciolli.  He was given a full history of this disability, the meds prescribed and the neurologist that confirmed the diagnosis and has been treating her  for many years.
    Dr. Ciolli took the information and looked up her narcotics use in some system that he indicated he was bound by in determining his use of narcotics.  He indicated that she had filled three 100 count bottles of Valium in one day and was in danger of being arrested for a felony.  We knew that was ridiculous as we pay for all her medications and keep our receipts for all prescription purchases and there is nothing even close to that (the last purchase we had was 30 Valium some time ago).  All the while she was in extreme pain and was not treated at all.  When we asked him to produce the evidence related to his assertion about the Valium he told us he would give it to us shortly.  About 15 minutes later he indicated conveniently that he was not authorized to give this to us.  She begged him to contact her neurologist for guidance and he refused.  At that time, I instructed him to take the IV out as she was leaving since treatment was withheld.  This was also performed incorrectly as right after removing the IV a nurse put a blood pressure cuff on the same arm which, when inflated, caused the IV puncture site to bleed profusely.
    She then proceeded to obtain treatment elsewhere as they were supposed to as have done at Dublin Methodist.  We have never been questioned as to how a ER was supposed to treat this condition.  All the while his attitude was dismissive and suggested I contact the Governor if I wanted to complain.  This is clearly a case of a brand new shiny hospital being manned by incompetence.  I do not recommend you use this doctor and as an extension the hospital for any reason.

    Overall, this insurance is fine based on my limited experience (I've had coverage for two years but no major illnesses/injuries/hospitalizations)  My biggest problem with it is that they want you to use the website when you have questions but it is difficult to use and a lot of the information that I need isn't there - I end up having to email or call to get answers. They're also pushing their app right not and it's worse than the website.  They don't cover celebrex for me which is a problem I've never had with insurance though other employers.  They cover chiropractic treatment (10 visits/ year) but they process claims though a third party which means a lot of red tape and payment takes a long time.

    Since UHC has only been my provider for a few months, I do not have much to report. However, I have found that my co-pays and the EOBs I receive are fairly similar to previous insurance providers. I gave UHC a low rating for coverage because as a healthcare provider myself, I am disappointed in their lack of coverage for alternative medical and wellness services. They do offer a small discount at select alternative healthcare and wellness providers; however, I feel this coverage is quite lacking. The specific healthcare service that I personally provide is also not a covered benefit under UHC and it is a common, traditional, medical service. I find it extremely disappointing that this major insurance provider will not provide coverage for the remediation of voice. I wish the people responsible for coming to the decision not to cover voice services have to live a day with a voice disorder and see how they feel. Voice disorders are medically necessary to treat. The voice is directly tied to one's personality and overall wellbeing; it is required for one to go about their activities of daily living and to perform a job. I hope that this review might help UHC to seriously consider revising their coverage.

    Once I got to Sam's Club, I just told them I was going to the pharmacy, and it didn't seem to be a problem. I went back to the pharmacy, and I found out that the medication was substantially less expensive than it would have been at the other pharmacy. So that was nice. The prescription was ready in about 15 minutes. The pharmacist explained the medication to me- I needed to refrigerate it, etc. Overall, it was a very good experience. I would definitely go there again for other prescription needs.

    We were out of state for the Christmas holiday. It was the closest urgent care I could find open on a Saturday morning. We arrived just after they opened. There were already 4 patients waiting to see the doctor. The office staff was prompt in getting our information but had to wait almost 2 hours to see the doctor. Found out that there was only 1 doctor on duty and he was in a staff meeting part of the time we were all waiting for him. The doctor was nice enough and easily determined there was an ear infection but was a little wishy washy on what meds to prescribe. He listed off several options and them asked me which one I thought we be best for my daughter. I told him what my regular pediatrician had prescribed in the past so we went with that.

    I have been using Target's Pharmacy for many years. I used to go to the Target on Soldano Blvd. on the west side of Columbus, but when other Targets were built, the staff got split up and most of the ones that I knew and who knew me went to other stores. This rather disappointed me, so I ended up switching to the one in Hilliard, since I knew that one of the ones I really liked moved to that store. After saying all that, I have always gotten great service from them. They still give me the personal service that I have always gotten and help me in any way that they can. I like going to the store in Hilliard; the pharmacy is smaller and I really like the staff that is there.

    My husband was injured on the job and following his surgery, we needed to get a few prescriptions filled. Since the injury had just occurred, I didn't have a case number or anything for the workers comp claim. Because of this, they needed to charge me for the full amount, and then I needed to deal with the workers comp claim later to get my money returned for the medicine. Unfortunately, the medicines cost over $1000. The pharmacist could see how stressed out I was about needing the medicine and not being able to pay the $1000+ at the time. She continued to work with me to get the claim filed through my insurance company, which would allow us to not have to pay the $1000 up front, and then just deal with the insurance company getting reimbursed from workers comp later. She went out of her way to accommodate me and help me during a very stressful time.

    I broke my toe again. They x-rayed my toe, and taped it up. They charged me a lot of extra charges beyond the deductible. The other urgent care did the exact same thing the previous time I broke my toe and did not get all these extra charges.

    I was with the same insurance agent for thirty years and never received the type of personalized service that I receive from Martin Mitchell. He sent me a birthday card on my birthday, and one to my daughter on her birthday. It is amazing to have this type of personal care. I switched all my insurance to Martin. I would recommend him to anyone who needs an insurance agent. He takes great care of me. His office is across town, but it is worth it. I have been blown away by how great he and his office are. If there is any question about anything everyone is so great. It is night and day between this insurance agency and my old insurance agency. My calls are always returned and I receive great service. They truly value my business.
