    Ohio Basement Authority
They came out and removed some existing structures in our crawl space and then encapsulated it and the insulated the walls. The team was very efficient and were really nice. Id definitely hire them again.

    Stay Dry Waterproofing - Columbus
The sealing of the foundation went well, I am very pleased with that. The pipe replacement happened within a few days of them telling me they would get it done. However when they cut through the pipe, they also cut through my siding! I called the sales guy I had been dealing with, Paul, and he said he would pay for the repairs or they could send someone out. That was 1/12/19 I had a handy man ready to drywall the wall, so I had my guy fix their mistake and let them know it would be $100.00 for the repair. Paul said they would credit my credit card. It has now been 2 weeks and my I have not received my refund.

    Rising Height Unlimited
Working with Rising Height was the absolute worst professional experience I've ever encountered. Work we wanted done: tape and mud previously hung drywall, install 5 canned lights on existing 4-way switch, install drop ceiling, and trim out the space. We were also quoted for painting the approximately 200 sq ft space. At the time of the quote (in July) the owner said his crew could start the work within the next two weeks and predicted a one-week job. I know construction projects ALWAYS take longer than expected. Getting all the work done took 6 weeks, not 1. Part of the problem stemmed from an incomplete quote, which was our fault for missing that Rising Height didn't quote the trim install that we requested. So comparing his quote to others was apples to oranges. We opted out of having Rising Height do the painting. We signed and were promised work would begin in early August. The first project that needed completed was taping and mudding the drywall we had hung. The drywall guy was amazing, showed up on time, and came on a Sunday to complete the work that took a little longer than expected. Once the drywall work was complete, we had to call and call Rising Height to get the next crew out: lights and drop ceiling. It was supposed to be a 2-day job. We were met with sob story after sob story. This guy was in the hospital, that guy didn't show up. We were never given advanced notice of no-shows so missed several days of work waiting on a crew to never show up . Once we finally did have a crew show up, they decided that a portion of the ceiling that they were to install should have been drywalled and had to improvise to install a drop ceiling there. (That would have been nice to know when work was quoted, and we could have hung some drywall to be included in the mudding process.) We ended up installing the trim ourselves once we discovered it was not on the quote and needed the project DONE. After two weeks (not two days) of crews working off and on in our basement, the job was finally done. I wish I could say that the drop ceiling looks amazing, but many of the ceiling tiles have nicks or were cut poorly. (I acknowledge that it is an odd-shaped space, which made some cuts difficult.) They didn't have enough tiles to finish the job and we have mismatched tiles in the ceiling. Rising Height promised to deliver a few extra tiles (they have boxes in their warehouse!) to fix the mismatch, but so far, every appointment to deliver the tiles has been missed. When it came time to pay, there was a 20% fee added to the quote and not explained. We also payed an agreed upon with a 3% charge to pay by credit card. We decided to buy ourselves some ceiling tiles and wash our hands of this company. If their drywall guy worked as an independent contractor, I would totally hire him again if we needed drywall work done. He was the only positive in a long, painful experience.

    9 Trees Landscape Construction
The planning , work and care for the property was excellent. the crew was on time, careful in caring for the existing lawn and landscape and meticulous in cutting and laying the stone. We did not have one problem or complaint with the installation. I looks beautiful and we will definitely use them again for any future expansion. Bob

    Basements Unlimited
Al and team did a fantastic job our our basement. We had a large project, but the team paid attention to every single detail and really went above and beyond. From the beginning, we appreciated the line by line estimate that explained every cost rather than simply charging a standard price per square foot. The quality of all the work, from bathroom to flooring, walls, painting etc. was excellent. We opted for a custom built bar, and were blown away with the quality that they delivered. I would HIGHLY recommend basements unlimited to friends looking to finish their basement, especially if they have an interest in a bar.

Mike uses subcontractors and seems to have no control over them. The quality is horrible, nothing was replaced as promised, and there were major issues such as flooring, trim, and even simple painting for which I needed to hire a new contractor to fix. I'm still finding issues, and it appears Iles & Associates did not actually do all of the work as promised. The list of complaints goes even further, but to save the time, expense, and stress already caused, I would just warn everyone to stay away.

    Just Basements
Overall, our basement finishing project was completed on time (ahead of schedule) and within budget. Charlie was great to work with and Rob was super responsive to emails and concerns that arose throughout. We would recommend them to anyone!

    Basement Remedy
Todd, the owner of Basement Remedy, inspecter my basement after our second flood. His knowledge of the situation and the information he provided allowed us to go back against the builder for repair/improvements. Without his help, we would have been faced with tens-of-thousands in out of pocket costs. To top it off, he wouldn't take payment and simply asked that we share our experience. So, here I am. Todd is honest; not all contractors are. Todd is also working for you, not for his wallet. I would - and I will - hire Todd and Basement Remedy without much other consideration.

    Ohio Basement Authority
Ohio Basement Authority was the only company I called and probably the only company I would trust with my basement based on their commercials and literature mailed to my home but most importantly the reviews from lots of satisfied customers. Three hours were spent with us during the initial consultation. Everything was explained in detail and all questions answered. We never felt pressured but when all facts were put in front of us, its pretty clear what needs to be done. Denial only gets you so far. A reminder email was sent out the Friday before the job was to begin. As if we could possibly forget what wed been working towards for the past 6 wksgreat time to clean your basement ;) The morning of the big day, Mike (foreman) called to let us know they were on their way and would arrive by 0730. I appreciated this because we werent expecting them before 0800. Introductions were made as soon as I opened the door. Mike allowed as much time as we needed to answer any questions and explain once again what would be done and a general timeline. Once we had our last minute questions answered, they hit the ground running. Plastic was put in the foyer and down the basement stairs to collect as much dust/dirt as possible. All our belongings were covered with plastic and the furnace was turned off to avoid dust from getting upstairs. The crew was very considerate of the homeowner during this entire process by trying to keep the basement door closed at all times to limit the noise/dust. The house does get cold (this job was done in December), not so much because of the furnace being turned off, but because they are carrying in/out heavy loads of cement/gravel and need to leave the door wide open as they do it. When I saw how hard they were working and the loads they carry, an open door didnt bother me one bit. At the end of the first day, I was told what to expect the following day. The job was finished by 11:30am on day two. At the end of the project, the plastic was all removed, the foyer floor dry mopped and doors/handles wiped off. At this point, Mike showed me the finished basement and reviewed the workings of the new sump pump. The entire project was not nearly as bad as I had envisioned but it does leave a lot of very very fine dust in the basement to clean up afterward. Dont get me wrong, the crew left the workspace spotless but there is no way they can remove 100% of this dust. It needs to be vacuumed over and over again to get it all. These guys are hard working, polite, considerate, personable and I would not hesitate to hire this company again. ***The only suggestion I would make to Ohio Basement Authority is, after day one, it would be a nice touch to lay clean plastic over the dirty plastic (foyer) so the homeowner doesnt track dust throughout their home that evening.

    Hydra Basement Waterproofing
Pat came out to provide an estimate for a foundation repair. He advised us that the problem was only cosmetic and gave us advice on how to address the problem cracks ourselves. He was very professional and we certainly appreciated his honesty and advice. If we were to ever need work done, Hydra would be at the top of our list.
