Leaders Moving & Storage Co of Columbus
It went very well. There were four men and two trucks. The entire move, including travel time, breaks and lunch, took about 7 hours. The men were very careful with our furniture and boxes (we had 101 boxes). They were pleasant-natured and easy to deal with. They placed the furniture and boxes in the new house wherever we asked. The only issue was that the piano did not work correctly after they re-assembled it, but I was able to fix that problem myself.

    Moving Ahead Services LLC
Basically it went very well. Mark and Martin showed up when they indicated, did a quick once-over of what I had to move and said it would be no trouble getting the items into the truck. They set to work quickly, worked rapidly, and wrapped up a couple of fragile items including a glass-fronted stereo rack and an antique desk. They moved the items quickly to Columbus, getting back slightly before me, and unloaded them quickly and put them upstairs in my house, not an easy task. They also moved from upstairs to basement a heavy treadmill machine, something I'd needed done for some time and greatly appreciated. All of the move and loading and unloading was done in 2 hours, which impressed me greatly. My only minor gripe was not with the movers but with Angie's List, which did not really inform me that there was an extra charge of $120 for the truck and movers to come out to the Heath area from Columbus. This is something that should be made clearer to future customers of a deal like this. Otherwise, I was extremely satisfied.

    Moving Ahead Services LLC
They were very professional.  One came out to walk through the house to give us a price pre-move, and that was the exact price that we hidden fees.  A crew of 6 loaded up the truck in record time (after prepping all the furniture).  The next day a crew of 7 were at the new house and had everything unloaded and put back in under 3 hours!  We will never use another moving company again, Moving Ahead Services will be our go to company in the future.  We have moved many, many times and have never had the kind of service and satisfaction that Moving Ahead gave us.  You will be very satisfied if you use this company~!

Pete's Safe & Vault Moving LLC
I purchased a 700 lb. gun safe which was approximately 72" tall, 40 " across and 24" deep at Tractor Supply Co. in Hebron, OH. I needed to have it delivered to my home, about 20 miles away. The company TSC normally used refused to move this safe because of it's size, so I had to search out a mover. I checked several options through Angie's List, but found the movers with the best reputations would charge as much as $400.00 and require 3 people. Buckeye Outdoors, a large sporting goods store in the area told me they used a company called Pete's Safe and Vault Moving, LLC in Tipp City. I was concerned, since Tipp City is north of Dayton, a good distance away from Newark. Nevertheless, I called and got Pete Clark, the owner. I explained the safe needed to be picked up at TSC and taken to my house, in the country, southeast of Newark. It would be going up two steps into the house, and moved to a back bedroom. What I forgot to mention was that I had a long, steep gravel driveway. I was concerned about the distance and was told it would be no problem. Pete said he had several other safes to deliver in the area, and he would add me to the list. The cost would be $175.00. Especially after the other estimates I got, I figured, he was missing something, Nope, that was the estimate. I was also really worried about the weather, since we were due for (and got) several inches of snow, as well as sleet and freezing rain. I had about 36 hours after the storms passed for the roads to clear, The day before delivery I called to confirm the delivery and Pete asked if it would work to reschedule it for the next Sunday. I told him I really couldn't, since I had already paid to have the driveway plowed and salted. He said he would be there the next day. They called me the day of delivery and gave me half an hour warning so I could meet them at the store. We met, and there was only one person. What? For a 700 lb. safe? Well, the safe was loaded into his box truck, which already held at least 3 other safes, and he followed me to my house. It took a few tries to make it up the driveway, then he went to work unloading the safe, removing the pallet, taking it down the sidewalk, down two steps, then up two more to get it into the house. His equipment was amazing. I can't say it was effortless, but is sure looked that way. He continued to the bedroom, set the safe exactly where I wanted it, on a rubber pad I had in place. He set up the electrical outlet for me, demonstrated how to reset the combination on the safe, then made sure there was no mess before leaving. There wasn't a scratch on the safe or on my wood floors. And yes, the charge was only $175.00. Pete's serves Columbus, Dayton and Cincinnati and has gone as far as Zanesville. I rarely make recommendations but I would recommend Pete's to anyone.

    SML - Simple Moving Labor
Much was prepacked and broken down, e.g. beds, before movers arrived. It took the minimum of 3 hours plus another 2.5 hours (there was a little delay because of rain). Calls to arrange move were handled nicely. Day before and day of not so much. Day before someone calls to tell us how he estimated that, without seeing but on experience, everything would not fit. He also suggested considering paying a cancellation fee with Penske, who suggested these movers, and having them do everything -- supply a truck, load, drive, unload -- for about the same as what we would spend doing the drive ourselves. I couldn't believe I was getting this the day before a move half way across the country. Day of, I get a call saying that I never mentioned we had a piano -- that was one of the first questions I got when I reserved the date and why I was told I needed the "pro crew" -- and because we didn't pull the truck to the top of the driveway, and we had a gravel driveway, the piano couldn't be moved unless we pulled up the truck. Even though we were selling the house we didn't want a big truck on the driveway to damage it and, because of the angle, the truck really couldn't go to the top anyway. Besides, our driveway is concrete, not gravel. In any event, they did run out of space and piano didn't make it. One of the two movers did seem interested in getting the job done and working hard. However, despite the recommendation in the call the day before that we prioritize what to put in truck first, the movers when there pursued another approach, packing first what they thought should be packed. Perhaps that was the best way to pack it but it was different from what we asked. Ended up canceling appointment for same company to unload truck at new location.

Owner and another employee came out to move our furniture and TV's for us within our home(due to the furnitures weight and awkwardness). Cost was quite reasonable considering drive time each way(about 35-40 minutes)and their own time required for the labor(about 30 minutes.)
