    Duff Carpentry
Very pleased with the work performed by Duff Carpentry. Although they do primarily finish carpentry, they agreed to construct the rough framing for my basement refinishing project. Other companies wanted to build simple framing but I was looking for unique touches such as arched soffets and several; 45 degree walls. It also included adding a landing and 90 degree turn to the staircase. I was impressed with the care they took to ensure walls were square and plumb. The drywall installer was impressed with attention paid to solid nailing surfaces. The building inspector approved of all aspects including the fire-blocking. The team was a pleasure to work with.

    Chad Ryan Construction
Chad was hired to prepare my deck, restain my deck and replace rotten boards. 17 days after he stained it and was paid in full, the paint started peeling. I have tried to resolve this issue since June of 2018. He agreed to give me half my money back so that I could pay another company to fix my deck. I asked him for that amount because it was the estimate I received from a reputable company. Chad said he would pay me the amount in two checks. The first one I tried to cash was insufficient funds. However he did make it good about a week later. The second check I never received. He now will not answer my emails. He had little knowledge in doing the job at hand. Beware and read your job proposal and estimate very carefully.

    Dusty Boot Home Improvement
Dusty Boot called back the same day and offered two installation dates. A call from them the following day said they could come the same day! The installation went great, the service person was a hard worker and finished the job to our satisfaction in about an hour!

    American Weathertechs LLC - Cincinnati
This was perhaps the most unprofessional and disturbing experience I've ever had with a company. One of the first questions I was asked was if I had a spouse. When I asked why that was relevant, the woman I spoke with indicated that if there was a spouse they preferred to speak with both at the same time. I suspect the argument she was going to make was that it was "easier" to explain the quote to both parties at the same time. Frankly, I hung up before this was stated. As a homeowner and a woman, I found this line of question and thinking unacceptable. To imply that any woman (or man) would be incapable of speaking with a contractor and either making decisions independently or relaying information to their spouse is disturbing. In all the years I have called on and employed plumbers, electricians, roofers, HVAC installers, landscapers, and other contractors, I have until now NEVER ONCE been asked if I had a spouse that should be consulted. How and why this company thinks this is appropriate is beyond me.

Champion Windows and Home Exteriors of Cincinnati
It went well. In the living room, I had a ceiling to floor window that they changed to a regular height window. On the kitchen, they were on the same end in the house, I had another window that was ceiling to floor and they took that out and put a man door in there. It was a lot of work. I've actually been thinking about calling them back, I know it's been over a year later. The only disappointment I have with them is when I talk to the sales person, I told him I wanted storm windows and then a screen. I ended up with the top part as the storm window and the bottom part is the screen. I really don't have a full storm window on any of the windows in the house. I think that was just a miscommunication. I worked a lot in the last year so I haven't had time to contact them and get them back out here. I don't want to put out any more money because I feel like that's what I should have got to begin with. As far as the quality of their work, I had no problem with that. Price-wise, I thought it was reasonable. They came in second in quotes. I had three quotes. They are local and they are American made. Their factory is within 20 miles of my house. I'm all about buying American. When the installers came and they were going to redo the back wall, they thought they were just going to put siding up over it. When I came home one day, they had installed all the windows and the doors and did the siding on the side of the house but the back wall they had just started on. I walked out there and they had one sheet of the new under lament on top of the old siding that was there which that wasn't the deal. They were supposed to take off the old siding, rebuild the wall then put up a new under lament and a new siding. I called the sales person, I said, "this is not what we talked about. The whole deal was to rebuild that back wall." He said, "absolutely". He met them out here the next morning and settled it. They had a different set of installers. One set of installers did the windows and doors and then another set of installers came, did the siding and rebuilt the back door. They did a couple of extra little things. We have an outside electrical plug, they did around that. They installed the two porch slide. I bought new fixtures for those and they said we'll install it, no problem.

    Mr. Handyman of Greater Cincinnati/NKY
They brought the wrong color and I had to reorder the part. I waited for the part for many months. Once the part came in that one tech was able to do the job quickly.  I thought their price was high and they didn't give me any compensation for the long wait time.

    Windows Plus
The process from quote to installation was excellent. Shawn came out to go over our options, provide us a quote, and offer suggestions. Shawn was on time, courteous, and very informative. I was very impressed from the start. Installation by Bob, Ken, and Dave was amazing. They did great work and put more time and effort into making the trim for the windows than I expected. There was a large hollow wrap above my existing patio door. They spent the time to create a piece with extra bends in the metal to make it look better. There was no trash left behind and the crew was very friendly.

    Eden Construction llc
Steve got us an estimate and came in on target. No overruns as we felt the price was very fair. The materials were all exactly what we agreed on and the quality of the work was outstanding. Steve took his time and made sure it was right the first time. He did have a few smalls things he was not satisfied with and corrected them on his own.
