Florist reviews in Grove City

  • Robin Swaneck failed to honor her contractual agreement to deliver good quality boutonnieres and the correct flower arrangements for the wedding reception.  The services and assistance that was contractually promised fell well below what the bride and wedding party actually received from Robin's Nest Floral Shoppe.  Ms. Swaneck has not demonstrated any willingness to discuss or shown any sincere cooperation in addressing these issues.

Ms. Swaneck did not honor her commitment to be on site on the day of the wedding as promised.  This was NOT due to an illness or an emergency beyond her control, as indicated in the contract as what would prevent her from being on site for a wedding.  She had another commitment and advised that she would be sending one of her assistants to the church in her place.

The boutonnieres delivered to the church were wilted and had started to brown.  Ms. Swaneck offered a refund for the poor quality boutonnieres that were delivered, but failed to follow through with her offer.

Ms. Swaneck?s employee failed to ensure - as promised in the contract - that all boutonnieres and corsages were pinned on straight and placed on each member of the wedding party.  The corsages were on a table and out of sight - and almost forgotten. The bride?s godfather never received his boutonniere, and the boutonnieres were pinned on crooked on the few groomsmen that she had assisted.  The employee requested the bride?s signature on a small hand-written piece of paper confirming the delivery of the flowers and then promptly left.  There was not a description, or any quantities listed of what was being delivered - only a statement confirming delivery.

Glass gathering vases that were rented as part of the package were not on the tables at the reception venue.  The sole purpose of these vases were to make good use of the bride and bridesmaids bouquets by using them as flower arrangements on the wedding party tables.  These tables would not have had any flower arrangements if not for the wedding coordinator at the reception venue who was able to find something to accommodate each of the bouquets.

The wrong flower arrangements were delivered to the reception venue.  Red roses and ivory calla lilies was the specified flower choice as indicated in all of the documentation.  Hydrangeas were never discussed as an option, and are not indicated on the written consultation or included on the worksheet with an estimate.  If white hydrangeas were used as a substitute for the red roses and ivory calla lilies, according to the contract, this would not have been an appropriate choice in maintaining the integrity of the red and gold color scheme, nor are hydrangeas equivalent in individual value to roses and calla lilies.  The amount listed in the worksheet estimate for the table arrangements for the "equal mix of roses and calla lilies" is $975.00.

The total amount paid for the floral order was $1,719.00.  This is in line with the $1,737.17 estimate given by Robin Swaneck for ?Option 3" (the equal mix of roses and calla lilies) on the worksheet.  NOTE:  Four bridesmaids bouquets were "all roses" instead of the equal mix of roses and calla lilies, and would reduce the estimate by $100.00 (to $1,637.17).

  • Flowers were beautiful, however only 11 roses in arrangement. Called florist, offered to credit 4.00 for one rose or deliver another single rose on Monday (order delivered on Saturday). Declined offer to deliver, and countered that 4.00 didn't seem like much of a discount. Person on line then countered that maybe the delivery driver broke one and took it out of the arrangement as their designer was positive there was 12 roses when the arrangement left. The roses were wrapped quite tightly in cellophane. I don't believe for one minute that the driver did such a thing. They offered to take the arrangement back and because of the attitude of the person on the phone, I took them up on it. Probably would have just kept the arrangement and taken the credit, but when she tried to point the finger at someone else and not apologize for the mistake, I was done--extremely unprofessional way to handle a complaint.
