Carpet Installation reviews in Grove City

We went to the Hilliard store and met with Anita. She showed us many carpets and we found one we really liked. A few days later she came out to our home to take measurements and brought along the sample so we could see it in our room light. We were very concerned with seam matching since this was a textured carpet with many seams. She assured us that they would send out installers that are very knowledgeable on this type of carpet. The carpet arrived and was installed 2 weeks later since it was a special order. The installation and matching of all the seams came out perfect. We are truly ecstatic about how nice it looks.

Greg Whitney was the salesperson that greeted us when we went to the store. He was very personable & knowledgeable. With help from Greg we decided on the carpet we wanted, Dom Perigon Cameo. Greg e-mailed me quote after coming out & measuring the area. I contacted Greg when we were ready for the install as I was trying to time if with other work I was having done at this time. On schedule start date two men arrived for install. Very punctual & polite. They worked hard removing the old carpeting & padding that had been laid when house built! They were going up & down stairs all day carrying padding/carpeting and tools! They cleaned up well & moved the large furniture around. After the installation was complete I noticed 2-3 inch space between carpet & flooring at base of stairs. I contacted Greg & he came out within two days to look at area & fixed it on the spot. Had I known of them before I would have used for downstairs flooring.

    (1) When extensive landscaping was done at my 4-level split home by the original owners, installed a french drain to take care of water drainage in the lower patio area.  Unfortunately, this was insufficient to handle heavy sustained rains and my family room (which was carpeted) took in water under the french doors.  AIS had to do extensive work to tie the drain in the middle of the patio area into my sump system.  They also replaced my sump pump and we included a backup system.  They had to dig out an area in the corner of the patio area, go through the basement wall, etc.  They did a great job, cleaning up along the way and I finally have no more worries about water flooding my family room.
    (2) They tore out the carpeting in the family room and installed flooring.  I had already chosen the flooring prior to talking with AIS.  I later learned that the installation was a difficult process, but they did a beautiful job!
    (3) I have a brick walkway in the front of my home which leads to the brick steps and stoop to the front door.  A number of bricks on the side of the stoop and on the steps had become very loose.  I was worried that someone would hurt themselves.  AIS removed (and reused) all of the bricks on the stoop and steps and re-installed them.  Not only does it look like new, beautifully done, but it will last a very long time.
    (4) While looking to see why I was experiencing a waterfall in front of my french doors whenever it rained, AIS discovered that the fascia had rotted and the water was falling from the roof because the gutters were no longer able to connect to the fascia.  During this inspection process, they discovered that my roof also needed to be replaced.  They assisted by meeting with my insurance inspector.  In the end, I have new fascia, roof, gutters, and downspout.  I am extremely pleased with my new roof.  I knew that this was something I would need to be doing soon, but with AIS's assistance, it was an easy, non-anxiety producing process.

Lee came out when I called with all his carpet samples and I chose what I wanted. He also patched a piece of carpet in my bedroom hall that had been damaged. I had some left over and he used it and patched it for me. He had the carpet back in great time and came in and had everything pulled up and all the new carpet and pad laid within 3 hours. Lee had done work for me before and I have always been very pleased with his work. He is very professional and is quite prompt and always here when he says he will be. I fully intend to use him as I replace other rooms of carpet in my house.

When I met with Lee to get an estimate and measurement, he was very nice and not pushy at all.  He brought carpet samples from his van and was very patient answering all my questions as I picked out our carpet.  I had received quotes from 3 other companies and Lee's price came in the lowest for the great quality of Shaw anso-nylon carpet we chose.   He also as his own employees and does not hire subcontractors.  The builder's grade carpet we had before was not installed properly when we had the house built 16 years ago.   After a couple of years, you could grab the carpet and pull it up from the sub floor,  The seams were obvious and placed in high traffic areas.  With having 2 dogs and young kids at the time,  we did not want to replace it to only have to replace it again a couple years later. I wanted to make sure we got quality carpet and installation this time around.
Lee, Tim, and Andy did an awesome job installing our carpet!!! It took 4 days for the total install since we had so much HEAVY furniture (bedroom, living room, family room) and they had to move it room to room.  I really appreciated the time it took because with our kids, it made it easier on our family and hardly caused any major disruptions.  The carpet looks and feels amazing (they used an upgraded 8 lbs spillguard padding) It is stretched really tight.  You can't even tell where the seams are and they placed them away from high traffic areas.  Lee also re- installed new transition strips (that I had bought) between our wood laminate flooring and the carpet where the contractors before had installed them incorrectly.  I was going to have my brother in law install them and he went ahead and installed them for us!!   You can tell Lee, Tim, and Andy take pride in their work and their company.   They are very trustworthy, hard working, and make sure the job is done right.  They arrived on time every morning and cleaned up everything and put the furniture back the way they were before (they had to move armoires, take apart and put back together bunk beds, a king size bed, and the mirrors on dressers).  I will definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Brenda Rose was a great person to work with.  We needed to coordinate timing of the carpeting with painting the room.  She said that would be no problem, and it went smoothly.  We called her a couple of times with questions, she got back to us right away.  She even called the day before installation to confirm and came to inspect after installation before accepting the final payment.  The installer showed up on time, worked quickly and cleaned up. The carpet looks and feels great.

I went to their main website on May 28th and asked to be contacted via email concerning a hardwood floor repair in a newly built house.  I received a response the same day which asked me some follow up questions.  I responded the same night letting them know that Levi's had not installed the floor originally, that I did not have any extra boards and I sent some photos of the damage under the brand new leaking fridge...  On June 5th I recent my email as I had not heard back from him.  He promptly responded to my second email and said that their policy was that they do not repair floors unless they are installed by them but that he would still try to help me and he asked the style, number, manufacturer to see if the product was still available.  I would think it would be as the house was just finished being built in October '12.  I responded on June 8th that I had found some extra pieces of wood and that I would try to find out the exact brand, model and color.  I recieved no response to this email.  After way too long of me trying to figure out the info for the floor I sent them an email on June 25h with the exact information of the flooring.  I received no response and resent the email on July 11th.  As of today July 15h I have still yet to hear back with 1. Can you do the work,  2. A price for said work.
I appreciated that he said he would try to help with the repair even tho they don't typically repair work they did not install.  However, if you are not going to follow thru with helping then don't offer.  It is a repair on approximately 5-10 boards and I realize that is not a large job for you but it is still a job.  Way too much effort for a customer to go thru to try and pay someone to do work.
Called a handyman today off Angieslist and will have the estimate here shortly.  Should not have wasted my time with Levi's...

*UPDATE - I have spoken to Art Levi and he appologized to me personally and is working to help me however he can.  Will update with more info when available.
**UPDATE - Art worked with me and provided me with an estimate for repair.  We had issues in the beginning but the followed through in the end.  I have updated my ratings for them as they have appologized to me and corrected the mistakes.  Thank you!
