    Superior Asphalt Sealing
Darin, the owner of SAS, arrived at our home to clean and seal the driveway.  He was running about an hour behind, due to a back up at the sealer plant. He called and let me know the adjusted time and arrived promptly at that time.  I left shortly after they arrived and returned in 2 hours to find a beautiful, refreshed driveway.  Darin and his helper then returned about an hour later to apply the second coat.  We chatted while they began the second process.  I found Darin to be very professional, and informative about what they were able to do and what we needed to do to keep it looking good. We will definitely use SAS in the future and pass their name on to others.  Very happy:)

I ordered a driveway seal online through Angie's List on July 8th.  Angie's List billed my credit card $200 in July.  On September 3rd, the vendor finally did seal our driveway.  I would have appreciated a response to my phone calls (even if it was just to tell me it would be a while).  In the end, the driveway was sealed, but I received a bill for an additional $300+ due to the additional square footage.  While I understand this additional charge, I would have preferred being told what the total bill would be (at least approximately) before the work was completed.

They said they would get back to me with a proposal the next business day (Monday).  It has now been almost 3 weeks with no response.  If the job was too big or too difficult for them they should have told me.  Silence is not golden.

I originally contacted the company to fill the cracks in my driveway on 8/4/14.. They never did come for the promised estimate after numerous calls. I was told they could do without the estimate, I agreed. The first crew came on a windy, rainy day.(9/5/14) I asked them if it was a bad day to do it, they said no problem. Hundreds of leaves were embedded in my driveway under the coating.and it rained right after they left, and they did not fill my cracks with asphalt, they only poured coating in them.
They came to fix the problem on Sept 19th. When they came, they came late in the day, although I was told to be ready at 8:00am. I told them what needed to be done. One of the crew had a temper tantrum, stamping his feet and getting in my face yelling he was not going to fix the problem because he didn't cause it in the first place, and he was tired. Thank goodness my neighbor was there and witnessed the whole thing. I was scared by his actions, he really shook me up. He refused to do anything and left. I called and was told the manager would call me. He never did.
I called again and the next crew came on Oct 2nd., this time with a manager on the truck, They filled my cracks with asphalt for the first time. Very polite. The owner called while they were there and said they would reduce my bill. I would hope so, as none of the work was finished except for one filling of the cracks. All the leaf prints are still in my driveway, as well as many leaves still embedded in the driveway. It was a very bad job, which will need to be fixed by a different company next year. They did not follow through on their promises. What a mess!

    S&P Asphalt
We have a 30yr old driveway.  Had it scraped to the dirt and re-tarred 10+years ago and have maintained coating, every 3 years.  This was the easiest, by far.  Estimate was timely.  Return for the job, prompt to the day.  Coating was thicker than ever before and the cracks were filled nicely.  175ft driveway, 3 car parking at the end.  Loads to re-surface.  Had it done 2 years ago, only to have it wash away in a rain storm, done at 7pm, rain by 10pm.  Co. would never return to "make it right".  We like to do jobs with local enterprises but found Al on Angie's List and he had to travel quite a way.  We will have him back in 2+ years to maintain.  Now, we can do one-coat and not worry about the driveway crumbling.  IF you are thinking about having a coat applied, call Al in the Spring and set up your time.  Fall is very busy for Re-sealing.  I will do the same, in 2016.

    First Choice Asphalt Sealing
They did a great job explaining all that they were doing, how to care for the drive (I've never had a home with an asphalt drive before). Their punctuality was great (better than mine) they were fast, efficient and the driveway looks fantastic. I can't say enough about the great experience I had. I'll be using them again next year as the driveway was not maintained for many years by the previous owners. They also referred a company to do cap a portion of the drive.

    Remedy Asphalt
Don't do business with this company. It was a failure from the word go.As an aside this was the second company that I purchased a "Big Deal" from to seal my drive way. The first company refused because they said I was outside their service area. I live in Granville, they were in Columbus. The "Big Deal" had no stipulation about a service are however.

    Ace Blacktop Co
I requested the job be done while we were gone over a long weekend to minimize our needing to work around the construction.  Jim and Steve were responsive and professional at all times and they accomodated my request with no problem.  It is now a little over 2 months since our driveway was completed and it looks great. I highly recommend Ace Blacktop.

    Golden Bear Blacktop
I chose them because they were local. I had absolutely no problem with them. They actually came during the day while I wasn't there and did their work. They came back the second day and put on a second coat and I was good to go.

    John's Driveway Sealing
He was on time and courteous. He always calls me to check on what time would be good to come. He is a very trusting, good guy. He will put a barrier across the driveway for you if you want. He doesn't bother our neighbors while he's working.
