It is beatiful and Bill Soder and his crew are excellent workers with amazing skills and ideas. They took an area where an above ground pool had been and created an awesome patio area with paths connecting to the back porch and existing sidewalks. In addition, they created 2 flower beds to flank the paths and the patio. Had them comeback a year later and install more landscaping.

Someone from the business came out and looked around and chatted for quite some time and told us he had to have his hardscape guy come out. When I didn't hear from them for a week I called to see what was going on. They said they would come a few days later. That appointment was cancelled and postponed for a few days, it was very hot and they said they were a bit behind. Finally Rick came out, looked around, measured and took some photos. He said his hardscape guy had heat exhaustion. He also said he'd be on vacation for a week but would get back to us. We discussed doing the work in August which would have been 3 weeks later. I emailed once about an Angie's list coupon he mentioned and he responded. After that, I never heard back from anyone. No estimate, no call, and no contact. I called other landscapers the first week of August and we had the job done by one of them starting August 17. I think we gave 1st Impressions plenty of time to turn down the work instead of leaving us hanging. I mentioned on the phone that we lived in an old, 1847 home that had never had any previous work done, so it was not a surprise. Often work at older homes is harder and we understand that it can be difficult. I was assured it was not a problem. Apparently, it was.

Bruno assessed our property and what we wanted and gave me an immediate estimate before he left. Bruno's arrived on time and worked professionally on each day they were here. Bruno made sure we knew if there would be a change in schedule and if I didn't get home from work before they left, he asked that I call so he could see if I liked what had been done that day. The area for the patio was filled in for the two levels with a step down on the incline of our yard. Old sandstone we wanted repurposed or used was set aside and later used in the patio and walks. We asked that our millstones, one over a well, be incorporated into the design. One was built up with sandstone to a seat level and the other to a small table level. It was perfect. The retaining wall made use of old sandstone blocks that matched our foundation and have a sort of rustic look as if they had always been there. They thought to put the drain pipes under the walk for a nicer appearance and better drainage situation. Bruno's really listened to what was important to us about our house and property. This was our first chance to afford to have work like this done and we are thrilled. Generally we find that whether inside or out, working on old properties such as ours, from 1847, is so much more difficult that many times the work is turned down or shoddy. Bruno's was a perfect choice.

Soeder's responded to my call/email and came to our house. He looked over the property, measured the area and showed us a photo album of work they had completed at other homes. He left quickly after that saying an estimate would be given to us by his secretary. We did not hear from them for a week, although he knew we had also contacted other landscapers. By the time he called, I had already chosen one of the landscapers that had given me an estimate immediately and even called by to see if we had decided on someone yet.It doesn't seem as if a landscaping business needs a week to come up with an estimate.

I drew a detailed picture and description of exactly what I wanted and gave it to him. He showed up with crushed limestone, several 2X4's and stakes for grading. He setup the 2X4's and stakes outlining where the walkway was going to be and started to grade the area. I found out his intentions and stopped him. He had planned to use the unfinished 2X4 as a frame for the sidewalk and leave them there permanently! He said that I would have to build up the rock to cover them. They were treated for above ground use only and would rot if covered. I asked why he didn't use traditional pavers edging. He said it was too expensive. I argued with him. I called him the next morning and let him go. He refused to leave, arguing to let him finish the job. The friend who gave me his business card, also received a call from him asking her to convince me to let him finish the job. I thought this was very unprofessional.

They proposed a rough plan for redoing a garden bed which didn't match what we wanted so we didn't go ahead with having the landscaping installed.

After speaking with the service provider I found the deal not to be as good as I had thought. The deal is for square feet instead of cubic feet.? I have decided not to use the deal.

Their price is little high. I would give them an A on my overall experience with them. I would use them in the future.
