    Complete Home Services
The serviceman (JD) was polite, professional and proficient. We have gutter covers that needed only for the debris blown off and he power washed the gutters. No one has ever cleaned our gutters this well. The exterior window washing went equally as well. Very happy with the results.

    Shake PRO Solutions, LLC.
I own a Geodesic home which has cedar shake roofing. John removed all damaged and rotted shingles power washed and replaced with his custom ordered cedar shake. He only uses top quality. These guys are seasoned crafters and meticulous for detail. Afterwards the whole house was treated with a special oil. The house looks new. John and his crew are honest and punctual. I never had a good fix it guy. Always something. These guys are top notch and pride themselves as artists working for your approval. Never did they ignore my requests and always communicated the plan. I can say that I have found my repair crew!

    Ken's Parkhill Roofing Co Inc
Called to double check appointment time was satisfactory and gave me an estimated arrival time.   They replaced the flashing on a three flue chimney.  Gutters were also cleaned after they removed some plastic leaf guards that weren't working.  We also have deicing cables and they ensured all of them were attached properly.  Everything was cleaned up nicely and they let me know when they were finished.  Very polite and answered all of my questions.  I wholeheartedly recommend them and will gladly use them again for any roofing issues.

    Shane Fisk Roofing Co
Shane came out and did an analysis and provided all the details of recommended repairs.  He sent a team out within a couple days to complete the repairs in a professional manner.  They resealed the flashing and several vents on the roof.  They sealed an area where wood was lifting up and birds getting into the attic, took down a coupula that had wasp nest in it and nailed down all the popping nails in the roof.  They guys did a great job and would recommend them in the future.

Al and his dad came to our house and were very professional, courteous and down to earth.  My husband and I liked them immediately.  We had already received 2 estimates to install new vinyl siding on our house and detached garage.  We don't necessarily choose a contractor by lowest bid, but Al's price was the best and we liked the idea of working with a small family owned business.  We had to receive approval from the Gates Mills Board, so both Al and his dad went to the meeting to present our project before we even signed a contract with them.  Gates Mills required some changes in product and design that caused an increase in price, and Al discussed all details and price differences with us so there were no surprises once the job started.  He also did not ask for any down payment or deposit, but payment in full once the job was finished and we were completely satisfied.

Al's crew were professional, on time, did excellent work, and cleaned up everything.  They installed heavy duty corner posts (which we hadn't even thought to ask about), "fluted" the casing around the front door for a more decorative look, and replaced all  casings around the windows since Gates Mills did not allow "J" channels.  In addition to installing new siding, our contract included all new gutters with leaf guard, new downspouts, 15 sets of louvered shutters, and replacement of automatic door, man door, and 2 windows on our detached garage.  On the day the work was to be completed, we met Al to walk the job.  We found a few things which they took care of right away.  A few weeks later, we discovered a couple minor issues which were taken care of in a timely manner.

In addition to this job, we also hired Al's company to replace our barn roof.  It was a complete tear down and included some plywood that needed replaced.  Al has a separate roofing crew, and we were unsure of doing both these jobs due to the cost, but he offered us a discount which we couldn't pass up.  Our barn roof was in pretty bad shape, and after the winter we had, we definitely made a good decision to have it done.  Just like their siding crew, the roofing crew did an excellent job.  We found no evidence of the tear down since they did such a good job cleaning up.

Bottom line is our home and garage look brand new!  We highly recommend Al's company and would hire them again without reservation.

They took care of the leak immediately, and they ended up coming back and putting a new roof on for us. They walked us through everything with the insurance adjuster, and we loved working with them. We would recommend them highly to anyone.

    Weather Armor
This is an updated review: I called Matt Reeder (6/2/15) to arrange repair on a leaky area of the gutter.  He said he would have a crew in the area sometime the end of the week and they would call to schedule an appt.  I never heard from them and called Matt again on 6/8/15 and left him another message but he never returned my call.  My gutter leaks so bad that I have a garbage can under the leak and it fills the can to the top.  Although, we love the gutters they are not easily serviced.  I have had others try to repair leaks but to no avail.  Apparently Wealther Armor will sell/install but not repair their own product. After the above review with the "F" grade, Matt called me very apologetic and indicated he thought the service had been completed. He arranged for the crew to come on 7/30/2015 for do the repair. This time they came and caulked the gutters.  This repair did not work at all.  I called Matt back on 9/1/15 and he arranged for another crew to come on the very next day!  This crew replaced the corner and caulked as well as checked the opposite corner to make sure that was fine. We only had one really rainy day since the repair but it seems to be working.  Both crews were great, professional and efficient.  We really like these gutters-they are the best we have ever had, but you sometimes have to work to get them serviced. Hopefully, that will improve.  I give the gutters an "A" but servicing a "B".

    Great Lakes Home Improvement

I contracted with the company October  27, 2014 to replace our roof and all the flashing, etc. They required a check for half the amount of the job ($7000.00) to lock in the contract and proceed. I was told that according to their scheduled jobs, ours would be    installed sometime around mid-November.  They assured me they install roofs year round provided the temperature is above freezing and not snowing in excess.  They started the job on Jan.16,2015 and the 1st day was shoveling snow off the roof and waiting for the dumpster/shingles to be delivered.  The roof was finished on Jan. 24, 2015.  Delays were due to weather and a day of waiting for a 3rd dumpster to be delivered. I mentioned that I had a leak in my gutter and Brian said he had a great product for that and he would fix it in the spring. I requested that he go ahead with that come spring and he put me on the list. I also called his wife (Tabitha) to make sure I got on the list. Overall, the roof job went well, although I don't advise replacing roofs in winter months and would not do it again. They were hard-working and focused on getting the job done. Obviously with so much snow on the ground, clean up was difficult.  I called them to come back in March to clean further as I found some nails and green plastic disks on the roof, etc.  They came back 2 days after my call and took care of that.  I also heard them hammering on the roof, but they left before I could find out what that was about. However, what I wasn't happy about was I had to call in May and again in June to remind them about fixing my leaky gutter. I was told they were really busy and would get to it as soon as they could.  Since I had asked in January I did not understand why I was on the bottom of the list rather that one of the first spring jobs. With my last call to them in June I would have had to wait too long for them, so I had the gutter company come to repair the gutters. Couldn't wait any longer-too much overflow. I noticed (as well as the gutter guys noticed) a couple of torn shingles. I contacted Great Lakes in July to have it repaired. Of course, again I was told they were very busy and would get to it ....   I called again in September to check the status of my request.  My call was returned with an appt. for Brian to look/repair the problem shingles on 9/11/15. He and his wife came, were at my home for a short time (per my husband), never used a ladder to assess the problem, only looked at the roof from our yard. Told my husband Brian would return the next day at 9AM to do the repair.  I waited and waited and then had to leave, couldn't wait any longer.  Upon my return, there was a voicemail received at 12:20PM, indicating that Brian would now come on Monday because of the rain (?). That never happened as well.  I called them on Tuesday and left a message inquiring as to what happened. Tabitha returned my call and as I was speaking to her, Brian took the phone and proceeded to accuse me of accusing him of tearing the shingles. I never accused him, I don't know how the shingles were damaged- I only wanted them repaired. He also said I had voided my roof warranty since I had the gutter company do the leak repair even though this is not stipulated in the contract and I had never heard of such a thing. He was very un-professional and upset with me as well as disrespectful. He was not interested in having a conversation with me.  When he was done speaking with me - I heard him tell his wife (Tabitha) to call me back.  She called me back and as I tried to discuss this with her, the conversation went downhill from there with her telling me that her husband was very stressed!  I was very upset and stressed myself after this exchange. I have never been treated this way by a company ever!  PS: I hired this company because of an Angie's List offer/deal to have a roof inspection at a reduced price.  The person who came out to do the inspection, led me to believe that I needed to replace the roof sooner rather than later. I obtained other estimates as well, but went with this company because of the many "A" reports on the List. This is a family owned company and most, if not all of the employees are family.

The crew left a basket out side the drainage hole. I send a message to the company and the response was that someone will be fixing this... more than a week later nobody has showed up to put the basket in the right place.

It went very well.  We got our estimate and also while here he noticed ice dams and eliminated those.  He also had recommendations such as maintenance of the roof.  We were impressed by his honesty and professionalism.  As an update, Brian also did maintenance on our roof and, again, we were very pleased.
