We had 3 rooms in our home that were in need of a fresh new look. Beth was able to relocate items I already had, and purchase some new things, to make those spaces more inviting and usable. We absolutely love our "new" family room/den, music room and basement media room after what Beth has done! She stayed well under our budget, and found some some wonderful items that were surprisingly affordable. We had to have some new window treatments, flooring and fresh paint applied and we were very happy with the contractors she recommended. We find that we are now spending much more of our time using these rooms after the changes she made.

Beth was super responsive to my initial request. She was professional and punctual. She worked with my schedule to find a time that worked for me. She took time to ask questions about my style and made suggestions according to my existing furniture and decor. She gave me some really great ideas! I would definitely call her again!

Beth is fabulous to work with.  We wanted to put in hardwood flooring in our dining room and living room.  She helped pick the flooring type when we couldn't match to our foyer and it turned out great.  She picked all the paint colors for our living room and dining room including doing an accent color in the tray ceiling in the dining room.  We had Thomasville cherry dining room furniture that we wanted to keep but selected a more modern living room sofa and chairs and she did a fabulous job bringing together the old with the new by shopping for rugs for both rooms, art work, floor lamps, accent tables, pillows, draperies and hardware in both rooms and then came with her wonderful assistant on one day to put it all together!  We were having a graduation party at our house and we wanted it done quickly and she was able to do that for us without stress.  We had so many wonderful compliments on the rooms and it constantly amazes me that she is able to select art work and accessories for our rooms that we love ( but would take forever if we were shopping for it).  If you need someone to help you through the process of re designing rooms, Final Touches is the best!

Diane was awesome and her expertise and ideas are well worth the price. She gave us ideas for our empty house to include the kitchen, dining room, living room, master bedroom, and an additional room. Even though it was not part of the deal, she helped us with a few extra design and decoration deals too. I would highly recommend her for anyone!

We are downsizing from a house in the suburbs to a brownstone near downtown. Our problem: while we have (essentially) the same amount of space/square footage, we have fewer rooms. What to do with all our furniture? In addition, our "empty-nester" lifestyle is different. How do we both convey and accommodate that in our home. Finally, my husband and I have slightly competing preferences when it comes to decorating. He professes a clean, uncluttered look while I love to display my books and photos.
Diane did a terrific job pulling together a plan for our new home. We know what needs to be done, and we have a plan for prioritizing our purchases. We have a specific list of furniture to move -- and where it will be placed in our new home -- and we have a specific list of which furniture to donate. This eliminates the cost and hassle of moving unneeded furniture. We have a specific list, including style, color and size, of what furniture we need to purchase to fill in the gaps. This eliminates wasteful trial-by-error purchases. Most importantly, Diane adroitly guided us through the process so our (somewhat) competing philosophies were addressed.
My husband and I both feel really good about what's ahead of us. We look forward to getting in our new home and putting the plan Diane provided into action!!

Dianne arrived less than 5 minutes late even though she had already called and told me she was delayed in traffic through downtown construction.  She said she had sent me an email but I didn't find it in my regular nor my junk file, so I'm not sure if she had the correct address, but it was to have explained what to expect.  I thought I would probably get a floorplan design back showing suggested layout and suggested furniture and end tables, etc.  Instead, she told us where to look online (she got the website up on the computer for us) showed us the suggested chairs, told us where to place them, and then mailed us back paint chips for the suggested wall color.  I guess what I thought I'd get is what I've seen designers do on TV shows where they present a floorplan and have pictures of suggested window coverings, furniture, upholstery suggestions, etc. arranged around the plan. Oh well, I guess this isn't HGTV, huh???  :0).  Overall, I'd probably hire her again when I finish the bedroom renovation (changing the closet to walk-in) for color suggestions, etc.  I thought she had a good rapport and listened to all that we wanted and made valuable suggestions.

Diane was able to help me confirm ideas for a remodelling of our family room into a library and reading space.
She spent two hours with me and drew out a full room design recommendation. We also discussed future furniture layout, and what to do about a family heirloom piece. Her input helped me to find a home for it in my siblings house, and he was very happy to have it!
We did the contracting on the actual work, and love our new room.

Diane is amazing.  We had a conversation of what I was looking to accomplish before the appointment that I wanted my first floor to flow and look finished.  She came in at the appointment time and immediately went to work.  Furniture was moved, some added and a couple of pieces that need to be removed all together.  She also made suggestions of color or fabric pattern along the way.  By the time she left, I had a clear list of the finishing touches that I needed to make my home look DESIGNED!

Diane arrive right on time. We had her give us her ideas on our kitchen and living room. She actually rehung some of our art work and rearrange some of our furniture. Had great ideas for our kitchen also.

They came out and I told them exactly what I envisioned for my bathroom.  The problem was, their design program on their computer did not have the capability to show what I wanted.  I had seen a bathroom on HGTV with the exact things I wanted and told him which show it was and what features I wanted.  I wanted copper sheets on the back of the walk-in shower.  I wanted a current built-in cupboard and empty wall space at the end of the tub taken out to allow more room for the walk-in shower and a glass block wall built so there would be no need for a shower curtain.  I wanted a one-piece copper pan at the bottom of the shower, dark cabinets behind the door where the current built-ins are now, and the current sink and cupboard changed to a concrete topped (that looks like wood) cabinet with a vessel sink of either copper or a ceramic glazed cast iron that wouldn't shatter if something happens to fall in it.  The cabinets could be made of reclaimed barn wood or it could be used as a wainscoating, whichever he thought might look better in there.  Also, the door to the bedroom is a slider and I wanted that to be changed to a barn door sliding mechanism and the door made of reclaimed barn wood, possibly with a frosted glass center.
When I got the plans, it was shown with white subway tile on the walls, ceramic flooring, a black wood sink cabinet and undermounted sink with a light granite countertop.  A walk-in shower with glass block wall, white walls, black cabinet behind the door - basically very generic.  He apologized that his program wouldn't show what I wanted in the copper, etc., but here was the layout he envisioned, I'd just have to envision it with my extras.  I guess for the $75 I had expected a little more in a creative printout.  All I got so far was the "creative design" that this big deal offered.
