    Appointment was difficult to schedule, because availibility was non-existent. They said they were accepting new patients, but it was impossible for a new patient to get in sooner than 2 months! I scheduled an appointment and luckily got in on a cancellation, otherwise I would have waited until October. I waited for about 25 minutes after I got there (I was about 10 minutes early), but I am used to waiting anyhow, so I wasn't bothered by this.

    Dr. Donaldson was not difficult to get into. His receptionist is a gem and very personable and flexible. She is a good communicator.
    Dr. Donaldson met w me first to understand what was being requested for my daughter. He took notes, listened well, waited his turn to ask questions so to speak, and came off as a kind professional who was well versed in our needs. He scheduled in depth testing for my child over 2 days and provided me an office to work so she'd be comfortable knowing i was there for the multihour testing. He knew iur desire to get this completed before school and before another provider for mental health would be on leave. His testing and documentation was thorough and clear. He spent more than 2 phone calls w me answering more questions while i digested results. He was exceptional.

    My sessions with Holly Schweitzer, CNP, and Dawn Schneir, LISW, have been amazing. Both women are amazing in their professionalism and compassion. Dawn and Holly have been helping to manage my ongoing treatment for traumatic brain injuries (TBI) through behavioral analysis and counseling and medical intervention. Prior to working with them, I had suffered nine concussions and had been struggling to work a part-time job; now, despite having added two more concussions, I am holding a full-time job AND the part-time job, and I'm able to do so with relative ease and definite happiness.

    The sleep study started out on a Thursday night with 3 or 4 of us standing outside the Westerville and quot;campusand quot; waiting to be let in, because the security or whoever was supposed to watch for us wasn't there. We finally walked over to another area and let ourselves in. I brought my own pillow and a change of clothes and my toothbrush, per the advice on the paperwork from Dr. Eickholt's office. We were all given separate rooms with TVs and our bathrooms, much like a hospital room.
    Then, we met the sleep technicians who hooked all the sensors to us, and wow, that was interesting. Both Greg and Jason were great, but it was odd to have someone and quot;scrapingand quot; some of your skin on your scalp in order for the sticky sensors to work better. After all of the apparatuses were attached, including belts, I looked ridiculous. My first thought was and quot;No one can sleep with all this crap on them!and quot; But, somehow I fell asleep.
    The next day for me was made up of either 4 or 5 (can't remember) naps where they measure if someone falls asleep, how fast, etc. Between the tests, they brought in menus to order from Bob Evans for breakfast and lunch. Um, please consider another food vendor. I was glad to have food brought to me, but the food options weren't the healthiest and the food itself was loaded with salt and generally not appetizing. The day went on forever, watching TV and reading my book did not make a dent in the time AT ALL. Being stuck in a room all day, eating 2 unhealthy meals and no physical activity was NOT FUN. During a couple of the naps, one of my head sensors would come off and the technician would have to come in and fix it. Oh, and he also had to disconnect me when I had to use the restroom.
    Throughout the day, the tech was good natured and very helpful, asking if I needed an extra drink between meals. He also had a sense of humor, which I discovered when he came in for the FINAL TEST (finally!) I was lying in bed, wanting to get it over with, when he asked if I was ready for the next to last test. What?! I thought this was the last test! Oh, haha, you're funny! Very funny. I imagine watching people sleep and staring at other screens all night gets to a person. This job must require a sense of humor!
    So, once the final test was over late in the afternoon, the tech removed all the sensors, leaving me with the worst bed head ever. The glue like substance that was still in my hair came out when I washed it, thankfully. In all, I found the whole thing very interesting, and wished I could have seen some of the actual data that my body produced. I had a follow-up with Dr. Eickholdt that didn't have any major revelations, based on the data. But, at least I have some tips on good sleep habits and I've made some changes based on those tips.

    I called in to find out what I should do to refer a friend to Matrix. The lady on the phone said they don't do on the phone counselling but they can go over scheduling options... I stated that I'm trying to get them business but I don't know how to best refer them to a marriage counselor (I've never been to one and my friend hasn't suggested this option to help with his issues). The admin restated they don't do telephone counselling. You can suck it Matrix... I'm moving on.

    She was recommended by our pediatrician. My son was having some behavior problems at his daycare and we took him to her to have him evaluated. Initially she thought he had a possible autism diagnosis but right now she is not leaning that way, she is leaning to some other things. She is very responsive. She is not always stuck to one view point regarding the child. She is open and she gives me things to work on at home to help him out. She has given suggestions about what route to take next. The only problem I would say she has is that she is not as timely as she could be. She takes a while and so lot of times our appointment also starts later than it is scheduled. She gets along pretty well with the child and is attentive to him. The treatment is effective. He is doing really well. We would continue to use her in the future; in fact, we are actually going to see her later today.
